This is where human intervention is required the damage is from human interaction so then it is humans responsibility to assist the victims lest we lose these magnificent creatures

Pff.... you really think that a poacher would like to a have a piece of trunk? Someone crocodile attacked him from the swallows while he was drinking water, he is young and couldn't escape the sneaky attack. Crocodiles biting an elephant's trunk is common.
@@Spyros_Mazarakis no, a poacher doesn't want a "piece of trunk" silly. Poachers set snares to catch bushmeat and got an ele instead. They said it was a snare.
@@samanthav8728 yeah, I saw that too. That poor elephant. He must've been in alot of pain when it happened. And it's clearly more difficult for him to drink water than it is for the other phants, and he can't grab leaves off trees or wave like other phants can.
I also have seen that there are two shortened words for elephants, ellies (as you said it) and phants (as I say it)
He need to b rescued...it really hurts to see that beast struggling even to drink water 😥

I couldn't even be the person filming this. Because my ass contract or not would attempt at any level to get this majestic Godly blessed creature some help.
I am devastated for this beautiful creature. She's so thirsty and hungry. Can't so rescue organizations help her!

The problem is that the trunk is very important it plays role in elephants life eating ,drinking , etc ...
even fr breathing..vets place sticks inside that truck opening to make sure it wont collapse and block air supply..while its on Anastasia..
His appears to the the baby elephant that was separated by lions during an attack. The next morning the baby elephant was reunited with the herd with half of the trunk missing. In either case, it's sad and tragic. It's amazing it has survived. Was this elephant disowned by the herd?

Are elephants like people in how the elephant that looks different won't be accepted by other elephants? I didn't think elephants were like that because they usually are so unconditionally loving and caring towards each other, and don't care about visual or superficial differences.
Then again, elephants often bond by petting and hugging each other with their trunks, and this elephant can't do that because he doesn't have one

Thank you for showing this! The Ugly Side a Nature needs to be seen so things can be done to help prevent these kinds of things. You can't just ignore the things that are unpleasant that you don't like. (I subscribed to your channel)
Things are edited out in nature documentaries so much now that they are presented as a Fairy Tale. They aren't even showing the Lions killing their prey and eating, only the chase and impact as the catch them .......then switch to the after dinner nap.

That just hurts my heart so much to watch. How can a person call themselves a man (or woman) and do that to one of God's own creatures 🤔 I just don't know.
The most amazing thing here is that the Elephant doesn't need its trunk to survive, it would be helpful yes but it can still survive without it; Nature is truly amazing.
He can still survive, yes, but he is handicapped compared to other elephants. Look how difficult it was for him to get water to drink here. And he isn't able to reach out and grab or touch things (grab leaves off trees to eat) like other phants do
Don't worry his trunk grew back and now has a family of his own. 😊

Poachers take the tusks not the trunk. That was probably lion's or hyenas.

Wire snares cut off trunks and feet. An elephant would be extremely lucky to survive without a foot, but without a trunk it has no chance.
The poor ellie appears to be having difficulty getting enough water as both its trunk and mouth get submerged.
