Great video! As a longtime Warden vet, my biggest piece of advice is just to ask for help if you don't know something. The game is extremely deep and complex and we understand and are happy to help.
Absolutely. My Regi has taken on about 8 new players and they’ve now done everything from infantry, logi, tanking and arty in a matter of a couple days. It’s always a blast teaching new players
Yeah. I was new to the game. I found a squad that speaks my language. They taught me how to play the game for a couple of hours. They were very patient with me learning the game. 2 wars in I'm still with that squad enjoying the game.
I just got to know about this Dont always reload your gun when there still a lot of ammo in it.. In the fps game, when your gun have 20/30 ammo with 60 ammo in backpack, when you reload it become 30/30 with 50 ammo in backpack.. But this game it counted as clip (or whatever you called it), wnen you have 10/12 with 2 ammo/clip in backpack and then you reload, it will consume 1 full clip.. so u just wasting about 10 ammo in the first clip and have 1 clip left
This also includes when scavenging weapon from deadbox... use it until out of ammo then reload *maybe there is an exception for the high fire rate gun like SMG
Me and dad yesterday were delivering ammo to your base from the refinery northwest, we got ambushed, i reclaimed the ammo eith another truck, it got destroyed again, and thats how a 5 hour battle began for that base. We had to leave unfortunately. We were the 2/3 defenders there against an entire horde, its a miracle we newbies lasted that long
Don't be afraid to try anything, but don't feel the need to do it all. People probably won't trust u with the massive tank or BFG artillery right at the start, but but there's smaller systems in almost every 'corner'. You can play solo, you can play without a regiment/clan, you don't need a group, but you CAN'T play it like a singleplayer game. Pay attention to others. Maybe the active front line shifted. Decide if you should 'copy' other players or fill in an open niche. Scavenging is great, but if everyone is lootin, no one is shootin. If the tanks get stickied while infantry is standing around, they will go nuts. Watch your trench neighbor's blind spot. Cover your medic. Scratch that, cover anyone with a fancy backpack. People are repairing during mortar bombardment? Grab some bmats and help. You can grab a shovel and clear holes, but unless youve destroyed the mortars or cut off logi it'll just start again. For another commend farm, medic at the base. Don't just AFK there, but heal and rez people there. Dying at a base just feels bad, and people don't need to worry about getting shot with the F1/Alt menu open. But a well timed truck of bmats or antitank does get actual cheering now. Good luck on the field, break some legs! Okay rant over 😅
New players a great way to learn the weapons is the training area on the home island. They have weapons and vehicles you can mess around with without having to worry about anyone getting mad.
It’s cool having people watch this that were fighting in the vids. One of the cool things about foxhole compared to other games, you see familiar faces all over
Good video! My one addition would be FIND SOMETHING you’re interested in doing and FIND a Regiment/Local group DOING that and ASK to JOIN in/be TAUGHT. People get burnout QUICK in this game. Find what you love and get good at that BECAUSE anyone worth their trade would be 100x more appreciative of people doing what they love and being good at it than someone who hates what they’re doing and quits the game.
My top 5 tasks that useful and simple: 1. Help guys on the front to dig and build fortifications 2. Find logi lists and take truck and boxes from public storage, then go to an few little cargo runs 3. Just use Lunaire/Osprey with gase grenades. If you not idiot, you do lot of damage to enemy inf 4. Late stage of the war: find public vehicles like tanks and apc, fuel it, rearm and go to the front. Take crew from random guys and you will be a nice support vehicle on the front. 5. Just dig salvage and components and coal in clans.
@@weplaygames1836 Mosta basic tier 1 you build with shovel. To upgrade them you need basic materials. You can pick scrap, put into refinery and b-mats(basic materials) will be ready to take out. You then take this into truck( whivh you can mostly find in storage) to the front and build. Maybe its better to join a clan that has combat engineering unit , they can teach you so much things faster
I really liked this video. Clear, concise and a good few ways to be useful. One comment is mind what map you're using for video content and try and use video from previous wars as you're basically leaking accurate defensive formation intel to anyone from the opposite faction who watches this video. I can pause and take screen grabs of this if i wanted to.
You’re definitely right, and that’s something I thought about. Callahans had been back and forth for a week. The “defenses” that were up were in absolute shambles and weren’t doing much, other than what was on the direct front. I’ll definitely keep it all in mind for any future vids though! Thanks for coming to check out the video and for the support!
@@kodstergames Im going to be honest though even though you showed backline intel like at basin I would be more bothered by the fact that the entire warden defensive line relies on our enemies not knowing where it is (AKA not every having to fight or play the game)
yeah my commends come 10% from playing medic 5% from being a cool dude and 85% from driving 8mm ammo to the front. On a serious note dont drive pistol ammo to the front.
I’ve gotten 400 hours over the last 2 years and the best ways i’ve found to make a difference is to take action if your frontline needs it go grab it and don’t wait for others to get it for you because it might never come. examples: If your BB need AT really bad go and get some if your tanks are out numbered go get one
Absolutely! This is a great tip. Takes a while to learn what needs to be done or brought to a front. But once you do, it’s a key part of being a versatile player on the front.
Hope to see you around, but here's an advice, don't play this game it so often, take a few break's of this game time to time, because otherwise you can have a burnout and leave the game for a long time
Good luck on the front! Titanius is 100% correct, take your breaks from the game or you’ll burn out so quickly. It’s hard to see your “effort” that you put into the front. The learning curve is steep but there plenty of great videos out there about everything!
Eww, why is everything on your screen blue? that aside, this is a pretty great tutorial for newbs. Not so wordy that it turns people off, but also not vague. GL out there, remember eating babies isn't good for you.
It absolutely does not make any attempt of guiding new players 😂 I’ll definitely be working on some more in-depth guides on focused topics. I figured a broad “new players should watch this” video would be a good start. Thanks for coming to check the video out!
I’m glad this helped out! The game makes no effort to help new players and too many people start playing, get hit with the learning curve and then quit. I promise it gets easier! Good luck on the front!
Alpha Shard is a lot of your OG’s and they aren’t on there to play a game lol they take it very seriously. I used to play a lot, took a break and came back to join Charlie Shard which has been a blast so far
If i were to buy foxhole, and stick to the homefront, would it be possible to participate in logistics as if it was its own game? (Like RailwayEmpire2) Cause for me, always growing a network of infrastructure & railways to keep up with demand v'ye transportation of goods is very appealing to me.
So yes and no, sadly you can’t really ignore the war, but you can be far enough back that the war can’t really affect you! There are lots of regiments that focus on railway logistics, I haven’t spent much time with the larger trains to know what to tell you, but I’m sure there’s tons of videos up on it! I use steam to make all my game purchases!
Question: im thinking about buying foxhole, and maining logi, what does it cost to make a tank? Also: if you are not bothered, could you tell me about your regiment?
Different tanks have different costs - they’re all built with “Refined Materials”, which take more luck and time, than effort to make. I think the first real “tank” you can build that shoots 40mm AND has an MG, costs about 150 refined materials vs the scout tank w MG that costs 70 RM! My regiment is very laid back! We play when we can, focusing on crafting easy to make mortar rounds and tanks. We play a lot of infantry and armor when we are on the front! Foxhole is great, id absolutely recommend it if you enjoy the process of logistics, it’s my favorite part of the game!
I find the H sound you put on the front of the words use, useful and useless to be a bit odd. Not necessarily bad or anything, but I've never heard that particular speech idiosyncrasy. Is it a regional thing?
Don’t quite know what you mean by this? If you’re trying to signal other players without voice, you can use “H” to spawn a little dot that other teammates can see
don't bother. the more helpful you try to be in Foxhole, the more painful it is being trolled by your treammates. If you really wanna try to have fun in this game just take public resources and go shoot stuff
Dig and build.
Can’t stress this comment enough

100% after I made this video I wish I had mentioned that. Every time you reload, you drop all previous ammo
tips
1:00 press M to check how the front/the region is doing, you should do this every time your respawn

Welcome to the war front! Glad these videos are helping some people, thanks for stopping by and for the support!!

I appreciate the support ! Thanks
Really informative. Just started playing and wanted to figure out each of the game loops. Thanks

This is huge for the vehicles. I experimented with most weapons through scavenging throughout my time on the front
This bunker at around 1:44 looked totally familiar to me. Well, it's probably because I was standing in there when you recorded 😁

Don't worry this map is really old. I mean Callahan passage is dead at this point.
And he hides defense info anyways. Those positions for the refinery are only relevant when the collies actually managed to get into the backline

I never take a weapon in a bb, i just scavenge and, every time, i came back at bb with guns, ammo, rpg launcher. Thats what i call "mini-logi".
Man I was searching for this. I bought the game like 2 weeks ago, been dying and not doing anything usefull.

What I learned from this video:
- Grab a soldier supply when I die so I can respawn
- Bring 10+ sets of ammo and a radio every time I die
Glad you took something away from the video 😂 Sounds like you got it down pay. With those skills, I can just hope that you play for the colonials
