missed a lot of claw hits by not closing the distance properly
missing that first unite (can't really blame him tho)
engage in team fights by diving (usually done when playing sacred sword)
using metal claw to dodge (it doesn't work because you step back a bit before dashing forward)
got stuck on wall during last espeon chase as well.
I'm not a pro zacian player myself, but I've played thia build since release and love it very much. so i hope i don't come across as backseating or being overly critical
MC is very strong when played properly, I’ve been mainly playing MC since Sacred Sword was still broken. Also I prefer PR with it instead cuz the stuns help rip them apart. And it’s mean when someone runs and boosted PR into another PR and they can’t hit you or run

Yeah that first unite lol, I wish you could aim it manually. It went up because no enemies were in vision and it goes by movement direction in that case

Metal Claw takes a different mindset to play than Sacred Sword, and practice. Also, timing the projectile block gives you a level of outplay potential few other builds have. Cancling an Electro Ball while closing the distance at the same time always feels so good.
In a game dominated by micro-stuns and burst damage, Metal Claw just can't keep up. Unless the enemy team has basically no crowd control, or poor peel, the move just pales in comparison to Sacred Sword.
Cc and burst damage all that matter in this season. Been making more sustain builds to have longer survival in team fights.
metal claw might look insanely bad on paper but it lands way more than sacred sword and feels great to play in general

I really think metal claw just depends on the enemy team comp if they're somewhat squishy then it's much better but if the enemies are tanky then sacred sword is better

IMO it feels better to play than SS after the nerfs. SS damage feels very gutted. metal claw gives extra mobility, but by far the most impactful thing I noticed was the attack speed increase. Where SS burst isn’t enough to KO sometimes, metal claw will give you the sustained dps needed

I don’t use zacian much, but i do often find myself using metal claw over sacred sword just cuz the SS burst doesn’t do enough damage to kill anything most of the time and the enemy is usually able to eject or just run away on low health. Also MC feels better to farm with

According to unite db, it's a fact that MC does more damage than SS. I believe both moves are viable, it just depends whether you can sustain in teamfights with MC & autos, or if you need SS to burst combo and then run
Playing metal claw reminds me a ton of playing water bear or playing double hit scizor. It’s a really sticky build and you get a ton of movement out of it, but if you miss your combos you can be left really exposed 🙃
I did stumble with a very good player using it with play rough. He played more passive hiding on buss to one shot. they dont even need to autoattack . it was more like a cheese gengar
I'm not a Zacian player but I don't think MC is build to dive in gank. That's why they always ambush or be a clean up crew.
That's what I always do! I launch boosted claw, play rough and again metal claw. Couldn't that have been me by any chance? 😅

I play agility and metal claw zacian with mustle band and razor claw...and i find it quite powerfull...
Yeah i miss the unite sometime and aeos charge agility when i need metal claw....
Overall i am playing this season with zacian most of the time...

I've been a long time Sacred Sword player and accidentally selected Metal Claw yesterday. Went extremely well 🤷♂️
I used to hate this build, but ever since the buffs they gave it in the season they banned EX's from ranked, ive been a big fan of it. Not that i play zacian much, but i consistently do much better with claw over sacred sword, the attack speed steroid is so nice, and blocking projectiles is clutch sometimes too.
Idk... I think metal claw has potential but often gets shut down by other pokemon in the game... Like one ranked game I got 165k damage with it and other games it's like 60 to 85k... So it's a hit or miss really
use agility first then charge up for metal claw. the attack speed already good enough gained from metal claw hit so no need 2 attack speed held item, 1 is enough. Weakness policy or focus band better for the other item.
Zacian is my 3rd most played char and I used SS build primarily since it's release. I usually get around 1850ish every season solo queue, and I dunno but I like all 4 of Zacian's moves. I never used MC until this patch and I think it's quite a bit better atm. Maybe they can speed up the Metal Claw animation (the jump-back part then going forward), but even if they did nothing I'm pretty happy with Metal Claw build atm. SS and MC I feel can get 80k+ very consistently.

@@CrisHeroes the recommended videos pop up and cover the entire screen and we can’t really see the last few seconds of your videos clearly when you’re showing the stats after the match.
why does it feel like metal claw goes further than it should do
I love the concept of Metal Claw and Play Rough. There's definitely damage potential there. Someone even destroyed me with it once. My biggest gripe though is how hard it is to pilot. Those target indicators really have a mind of their own, no matter what setting I fiddle with.
I usually surprise attack the enemies using boosted mc, play rough and mc again and it one shots almost every mon.
How is it that sacred sword gets unstoppable and does an aoe stun but metal claw doesn't do either?

Funny enough if they remove unstoppable or the stun from sacred I think both moves would be comparable but everyone knows the devs gave sacred sword everything for whatever reason. It's no mystery why metal claw isn't played more. I used it once and it was good however...sacred sword exists

For people who dont know metal claw not only stops normal projectile move but even unite moves such as venu unite and probably cinder unite as well

I didn't know metal claw did that tbh. The unite I did because well it's a unite .😂 Speaking of I hate the way the ult is and you can't aim it, it casts where you are facing. Though they would have to change something if they allowed aim around 360 probably.
Yea but you're probably never going to aim it perfectly enough to ever eat a unite. So it's all just good in theory
@@kc12394 I actually know how to pair unites really well, the only one that I still struggle with is Venu's unite.

I think the reason no-one really plays Metal Claw is because Sacred Sword does so much. It slows, stuns, increases your attack and lets you partially ignore defense. Metal Claw blocks projectiles, which is cool, and gives you attack speed for a few autos, neat but not extra attack and defense ignore neat. Sacred Sword can just tap your passive to get its double use straight away. Metal Claw would want you to hold it for a few seconds to make it last long enough and with all the CC in the game thats gonna be hard.
sacred sword also gives unstoppable which is pretty clutch
Metal claw increases the dmg of the next six auto attacks by 10%, it's not the big difference though

it was one game checking it out but you cant be seriously telling me that this basic attack build takes a lot of skill to master
I feel like metal claw makes you way more of a weird speedster but it’s not good especially if you want the best damage you have to save up for aeos. Not to mentions the wind up time, and is a lot more prone to being cc chained compared to ss. It’s not bad, but I still don’t see it as helpful
I play Metal Claw / Play Rough because i simply can’t play Sacred/Agility.
You should play the forgotten future sight / psyshock combo on espeon, the cd reduction is nothing to sneeze at.

This is an unpopular option but playruff zacian will be a problem in the future. See zacians playruffs allows him to do dmg and then reposition himself around the enemy, this in combination with secret sword can be deadly because u can place secret sword in front off the enemy instead of under zacian himself. Right now zacian is a reactivate pokemon instead of an active pokemon because of the e speed nerfs. (U literally need to hope the enemy is stupid enough to walk in to your sacret sword) Zacian mains know that back in the day u could e speed around enemies in the past to place a secret sword in the right spot,but u can't do that now, and that's why secret sword is shit. But mark my words a single playruff buff will break the game. It doesn't even has to be a dmg buff. Make it more mobile and u will see.
Do you think they should allow zacian to have three items. Out of the three ex it feels the most grounded and takes skill.
It is also weird they did not give the rest of ex a useless first item like mega stones. Giving them those items now will be redundant.
I mean yea zacian is by far the weakest ex in the game imo but I mean he's still a very solid pick as he is right now.
It would be better if it had three items, but also a little bit more broken.
At least there's counters against this build cuz it's annoying when zacian ganks you and there's nothing you can do but hope your teammates are there to hinder them (50% damn well they won't lmao)
3 buffs and metal claw is still awful and it only took cram's dive 3 buffs to be good.
As a person who doesn’t play zacian, I can confirm that metal claw is underrated.

Why it's worse than other auto attacking abilities like Night slash and Outrage? Is it because it's hard to hit or takes too long to cast?
Outrage from Dnite stuns. While night slash of meow increases its crit rate and gives lifesteal on basic attack those who got hit Night Slash. While Zacian's crit rate got gutted and doesn't have any cc (Expect like slow.)

The windup makes it feel so jank. He has a chaser boosted attack and a dash move and somehow they thought it was a good idea to give it a move with a backstep? the move that's meant to do damage and boost his attack speed too?

Metal Claw looks so clunky. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Metal Claw and if I have it was probably so unimpactful I didn’t notice it.
Honestly, Metal Claw users are vegans. Always inserting how they play MC into random conversations, how good it feels, if you question it you're just not taking them serious, etc. Lets just say Zacian doesn't have a 70 percent ban rate in draft because of MC.

I’m a HUGE Metal Claw Believer, but it does take some practice. It’s a much different play style than SS but when you get the hang of it you dash in and out and all over the place messing with your enemies. Just need to get used to the difference in play styles
Metal cro is super bad, is like Garchomp's dig. But Zacian is not as chunky nether has a normal to make it function.

I have no idea why Zacian is an ex Pokemon. It does not feel like one. I don't even know why it gets 2 item slots when mewtwos and miraidon both get 3. This Pokemon makes no sense to me.
When did you start playing the game?
Ex Pokémon are legendary pokemon that consume aoes energy to get stronger
Zacian gets only 2 slots because rusted sword is its primary item in the mainline games and even then it’s still good

@zabdielp58 agree with you. Metal Claw is very good when used correctly, but people don't take enough time to master it. Chris sucks at it and just needs content for a video. Only way to combat it is to put out some high rank gameplay with play rough and metal Claw being used correctly.

Full heal is a good option, but the burst damage it deals with X attack is just too good.
