Tip: Physical activity, i.e. running, weightlifting, yard work, daily strolls, helped me tremendously. My lifelong severe depression is essentially cured after going from couch potato to an active lifestyle. The mind-body connection is very powerful.
+ienjoyapples thanks for the comment and the tip. I've never really thought about getting out of my head by exercise. I really do appreciate the tip. Have a nice day!
"There's times when I just don't feel like doing anything on earth." I feel that numbness from time to time too, man. For me, it helps to think of doing things for other people rather than myself. It might not be healthy but at least it gets me doing things and feeling a little better.
+S. Jefferspin thanks for the comment. Doing things with other people helps me to stop thinking. Also, knowing that people go through the same thing makes me feel a little better
You're never alone. I have medication that helps with my depression and I'm not addicted to it at all. If you ever decide to look into medication, Lexapro is what I take. Best wishes, I really hope the best for you.
