    If you want to play as a Shattered hand Rogue simply transmog one of your weapons as the blade fist from Kargath in the Shattered halls.

      yeah i hate that fistweapons and daggers have the highest transmogrestrictions. i mean for gods sake we can transmog warglaives to AXES but not to fistweapons eventhough fistweapons are probably the closest to fist weapons. i think they should rework transmog once again:
      1. all one handed weapons should be transmoggable to other 1 handers and the same for 2handers
      2. we should be able to transmog item slots instead of items. for example if you transmog your helmet to look like another helmet then it will always look like that no matter what helmet you are wearing. in that case the restrictions on holiday apearances make sense i mean you can transmog your helmet to look like that rose and you can actualy wear it all year long since you transmogged the slot if you get new items in a raid the apearance will stay the same. to balance that out they should however increase the cost for transmog.
      3. we should be able to transmog different specs so when you change your specialisation it automaticaly also changes your transmog

    • @mikeshipley1140
      @mikeshipley1140 6 лет назад +5

      @vhaelen. #3 is already an active option in game. Simply save your xmog to the specialization you want and every time you change spec, it changes to that saved mog.

    That white face paint for Shadowmoon has meaning. It means the shaman (usually apprentice) is marked as dead by their master / people. Ner'zhul had it because of the falling to void / demons in the two timelines, Thrall's Deathknight version also bears it for obvious reasons.

    • @Gongrongzong

    Btw in terms of shattered hand not having a missing hand, there is a transmog item that drops from Highmaul that gives you a bladed hand. :D It's one handed fist so you'd need a class that lets you wield 1 handed fist.

    I've already reserved my names. Gromosh, Torigg and Regath. Green Shaman (Frostwolf), Brown Warrior (Warsong) and Grey Rogue (Shattered hand) respectively. I love the fact they did Draenor Orcs instead of Outland Mag'har, since it means we get grey skinned orcs too. It's basically like two allied races in one! Simple solution for the Shattered hand clan is to use a fist weapon. There are two weapons both called the blade fist that drop from the Fel Horde Kargath and the Iron Horde Kargath.

    • @georgestaykov5358
      @georgestaykov5358 6 лет назад

      Fists only mog on fists :/ Luckily theres no artifacts in BfA but good luck on wearing a fist if you got something better or if you get it at all. Cool names btw i like people with lore accurate names :D

    • @ub3rfr3nzy94
      @ub3rfr3nzy94 6 лет назад +1

      Honestly, I think I'll just use a fist weapon even if it has the wrong stats. It'll only be 1 weapon and I'll just balance it out with some other gear or something. The loss of dps wouldn't be too drastic anyway, not enough that it'll impact raiding haha.
      And thanks, I only use lore friendly names. I actually just made a human alt with the name "Othmar", I can't believe it was available. It's a shame I can't get the Grand Marshal title though.
      If they ever decide to introduce surnames I'm grabbing Garithos.

    I always thought the frostwolf clan was the most appealing of them all to me, proud and honorable, more so than the other races. Durotan embodied that. So a frostwolf shaman or hunter is very likely, for me. Yet i think the bleeding hollow clan is very cool too, with their jungle'ish tattoos and savage ways, they will definitely fit well into the next expansion with the Zandalar as new allies. Great video sir, I thought i had my orc clans right, but i realized i had some of them mixed up! sub and like!

    • @Gongrongzong
      @Gongrongzong  6 лет назад +1

      Oh yea that's a great point! I didn't think of how well the Bleeding Hollow would fit in with the trolls. Would be an interesting story to see how they react to the "evil" blood magic of the Zanda blood cult, seeing as how they use it themselves :P
      Yup the Frostwolves are one of the best really. And for such an honorable clan they are still able to produce some of the most badass and iconic orcs that we know of today.
      And thank you! Very glad that you enjoyed the video :)

    In the description for Burning Blade Clan it says “Gray/Scarred” but that’s limiting.
    There were brown Blademasters in Talador and Gorgrond as well as the original lore about them being a rag tag clan of mix matched clansmen makes it so you can literally be any skin tone and it will technically still be logical.

    • @Gongrongzong
      @Gongrongzong  6 лет назад +11

      That's a great point, thanks for that! I did this more based on the observation of AU Draenor, in that when I explored their area in Nagrand I found them all to be Grey in colour. So, not too sure if Blizzard wanted AU Burning Blade to be distinguished by that :)
      Honestly, the description is just more of the "ideal choice" :) definitely feel free to pick whichever might fit into the lore!

    • @Amplifymagic
      @Amplifymagic 6 лет назад +6

      Gongrongzong hmm I may have mistaken other clan members such as Blademaster Ro’gor, which is brown, the “Burning Blademaster” NPC im Talador is brown as well.
      You are correct in that it does seem like with the retcon of their clan origin they paired the Burning Blade Clan with the grey scarred skin.

      Gongrongzong a little update on this old post, it’s good to see all the Mag’har Burning Blademaster NPCs in Orgrimmar with brown skin!

    Pirate hooks were datamined as weapons in BfA. Also you can get a shattered hand weapon drop from Kargath in Highmaul. SO there are options.

    Frostwolf Shaman. Maybe with some tattoos because of a longer period of time spend with the Warsong Clan because of a need to move from place to place throughout younger life.

    Warsong is actually the only clan (outside of ones with mixed colors like Burning Blade and Shattered Hand) that use that one style of brown skin tone you showed. Frostwolf, Thunderlord, Shadowmoon, and Bleeding Hollow actually use the lighter tone that also shows up with the white body paint, skin color #8 in wowhead's dressing room. This is probably just Blizz's way of showing that they're more pale than the Warsong but not as pale as the clans that rarely see the sun like Blackrock.
    However, it's also worth noting that it looks like we'll be encountering them 35 or so years after we left, as we've not gotten a datamined model of Grom Hellscream and he's much older with paler skin and whiter hair. I know that's newer information that couldn't have been known for this video, but it's still important to note now because it means that it makes sense why you can make any clan any class as they've had more than enough time to teach each other their ways as a united race.

    • @Gongrongzong
      @Gongrongzong  6 лет назад +1

      Hey Rukifellth!
      Ah, you're right there. I think the one clear distinguishing feature for the Warsong would be their streaking black tattoos, regardless of whether they're dark brown or light brown.
      I get what you mean by every clan can now can be every class, definitely possible. Enough time has passed with them united to share their ways with one another. But I think some strong traditions will still stay, such as the Warsong probably not going the route of rogues, and the shadowmoon probably not going the path of warriors.
      And yup! Even newer datamined info also shows that the Draenei are now the enemy, even if they might have worked together initially. 35 years, more than enough time for even the Draenei to teach the orcs the ways of the light before they broke off.
      Thanks for the detailed comment! I appreciate it :)

    I'm just coming back after being away from WoW for 5 years. Since I'm on an RP server, I've been holding off on making a Mag'har Orc since i wasn't sure what cosmetic went where. This vid has been so helpful. Now I'm on the fence for a Thunderlord hunter, or Laughing Skull, unsure which class though.

    I went straight for a Hunter using the Bleeding Hollow white paint style based purely on aesthetic, but I wanted to know more about them as a clan and I have to say it feels like a good decision. The hook you get as an ability for survival hunters lets you quickly move from one enemy to another, slaughtering them as fast and aggressively as possible alongside your pet. It's a good fit for a savage orc as a whole, but I feel it fits the Bleeding Hollow particularly well. Maybe even the Shattered Hand, minus the fact that you'd be forced to, you know, keep your hand. Definitely would work for Thunderlords, too, considering how much they love chaining up animals and people.
    Anyway, just wanted to say this is a pretty fantastic set of guidelines for setting up a Mag'har Orc of each particular clan. Great work.

    I'am planning on Rolling a Mag'har shadow priest. Since I play on an rp realm, I intend to RP him as an outcast Shadowmoon Clan member, that has retained his connection to the void, and continues to practice void magic. Perhaps even being welcomed back into the clan closer to them joining the Horde, as his aide against the Lightbound would have been perhaps welcomed as a counter to them.

    So, I've unlocked the Mag'har three weeks ago and I already spent almost 6 days worth of playtime on the Shaman (Frostwolf-themed).
    I already have the Frostwolf title, the two white Wolf mounts from Draenor and the Frostwolf Pup but I'm taking my time my sweet time with it. I've barely hit level 75.
    The only thing that will make me reconsider the race will be the Zandalari. I mean... that mount from Dazar in Kings' Rest is so badass! I just hope the racials will be good enough but as a Shaman, having two of the appearances of the artifacts being Troll-ish (Doomhammer as a Zandalar weapon and the Fist of Ra-den as Amani)... Godlike!
    I do have the Challenge Skin for Elemental so I'm fine in keeping it Orc/Horde theme. But something that makes me happy about the Mag'har Shaman? The totems. Most badass "playable" totem ever designed in the game... especially when you have the "symbol of shame" turned into an actual item of balance and unity... becoming a small volcano. :-P

      @@enniopaone The Doomhammer is a powerful heirloom of the Blackrock Clan that is shamanistic in origin being a direct gift from the elements, and there are many Blackrock shaman NPCs including in this video. The Blackrock aren't just associated with earth and fire for the way they live, it is a part of them, has left its mark on them like the Dark Iron Dwarves.

    • @thenerdbeast7375

      @@enniopaone As for Shadowmoon Priests I wasn't referring to shadow priests but priests in general. Though called Shamans the mystics of the Sahdowmoon Clan focus more on the spiritual aspect, communicating with their ancestors and the stars more than the elements. A Disc or Holy priest that emphasize these traits would be quite fitting.

    Warsong Orcs were not named for their drums and battle cries and war hymns. They were called Warsong because of their axes. All Warsong axes have two notches, and when the axes are swung, the notches make whistles through the air like a song. Thus they were named Warsong for the whistling notes of their Warsong Howling Axes.

    The original Shattered Hand were mostly grayish/white because they have been kept underground by the ogres. As for playing one-handed shattered hand it should also be mentioned to get the bladehand from Kargath as a transmog if you want the iconic style of the clan.
    As for the shadow moon I found the collection of classes rather lacking. They are also perfectly suitable for the 2 classes that fit to none other clan: Mage and Priest.

    I'd say specifically Frostwolves would be a Survival Hunter as they're more melee based than the Thunderlords who are ranged Hunters instead, sometimes class specs speak louder then the class itself (Priest mostly there).
    Also was the Shadowmoon Clan or the Shadowmoon Exiles confirmed for the Draenor Orcs allied race yet? i know the Shadowmoon were classified as betrayers at one stage and the Exiles don't trust the Iron Horde due to what happened as well.
    Also i think early on people noted that there customisation has a unique restrictions in which only some skins have access to some tattoos or other body items like bone growths or piercings too which is quite cool if you ask me, stops hybrid clan nonsense occurring.

    • @Gongrongzong
      @Gongrongzong  6 лет назад

      Hey Damian! Yup, you're right, Frostwolves would certainly make excellent survival hunters too. Never seen a frostwolf in game using ranged weapons yet, but we do see a few select Thunderlords using bows.
      Nope, we don't know exactly which specific clans are joining the Horde. But I'm going under the assumptions that most if not all the major ones are, based on the skin customisations that we already have for them :)

    There's a fun little obscure small orc clan from the semi-scrapped adventure game with Thrall called the Lightning's Blade clan.
    These crazy mofos would go on top of mountains with their axes and have to be struck by lightning at least three times and survive to be considered warriors. Seems like they'd've been a small clan of elite warriors since few could. . . y'know, survive that rite of initiation.
