Castell d'en Plaja
Located at the end of the Sa Caleta beach, it is one of the icons of Lloret de Mar.
Although it looks like an old castle, it is actually a summer house built in 1935 by the Girona industrialist Narcís Plaja and the work of the Girona architect Isidor Bosch. Although the works began in the 1930s, they were not completed until the 1940s, once the civil war ended.
The construction of this building was surrounded by strong controversy among the local population. However, his image has become one of the symbols that identify our municipality, since, year after year, It has been the subject of postcards and photographs taken by the thousands of tourists.
It is a private residence.
