2025-01-15 King's Chair Overlook

This hike goes up to the King's Chair overlook in Oak Mountain State Park. It covers nearly eight miles of trails including the list below. The trails are well marked and well maintained. There are plenty of steep sections for a great cardio workout going up and knee workout going down. The hike starts at the cabin area on Tranquility Lake and goes around several loops to the King's Chair and Eagles Nest areas with over a thousand feet of total elevation gain. The hike finishes with a nice sunset view over Tranquility Lake.
