  • A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 21 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on July 28, 2024 at 2:22 a.m. PT (5:22 a.m. ET). Full Story: www.space.com/...
Thirteen of the satellites have direct to cell capabilities.
It was the 3rd launch in a little over 24 hours, returning SpaceX to flight after a failure earlier in July.

3 launches within 48 hours just 2 weeks after an anomaly. I just can't imagine Amazon and BO can compete with this insane mission cadence in the near future.

The successful launch of that rocket serves as a testament to the innovative spirit driving the space industry forward. It paves the way for more ambitious missions, including interplanetary exploration and the eventual goal of making humanity a multi-planetary species. This launch is not just a step for SpaceX but a leap for human space exploration, opening new frontiers and possibilities for scientific discovery and technological advancement 😘🥰😘🥰😘🥰

The X -38 was created by Lockheed Martin and, it’s an option for Our USA 🇺🇸 Astronauts to return to Earth 🌎. However though it must be sent up to dock with the International Space Station.
For : Buch Cassidy and, Suni Williams . Godspeed sincerely your Buddy Larry W. Whittington and
    Team earth 🌎
I’m trying & hopefully 🙏🏻 you can get home. Unless things change for better.

2:56 At about this time after second stage ignition we used to see the stiffening rings at the end of the nozzle come off. It seems they are no longer used, but I am wondering why they have been skipped now. Perhaps it is Mr. Musk's philosophy "The best part is no part".

I was wondering the exact same thing. I haven’t seen the rings in for a while.

Cows and SUVs heat up the planet not hundreds of rockets, hahahaha 😎

35 billion barrels of oil per year worldwide
22 billion barrels equiv of natural gas worldwide
      484 tonnes of fuel falcon 9. = 2700 barrels
If a launch every day just under 1m barrels
      1/57000 of worldwide consumption
Or 0.0017 percent of world consumption, so yeah.

@@josephv5484 calculating in the superheated exhaust from hundreds of rockets, might change the equation.

    • @josephv5484
      @josephv5484 Месяц назад

@@Scooterdude01 no it won't. The heat buildup is from the sun, compounded by the greenhouse gasses. The sun is a very powerful heat source - if you want me to calculate for you the percentage that the rockets account for versus the sun, I can do that.. But it won't be in your favour. Also, we are still talking about heat engines whether it is the rockets or the ice engines, with similar heat signatures but with the rocket it is only for about 90 seconds for the first stage.
