Prairie dogs are so, so cute. You have started memberships. That leaves me out, just because I cannot afford it. I hate to miss out on any of your travels and fun, and just sharing time with you and watching beautiful scenery and wwildlife. I am housebound in Australia, but I have American family and I love the USA, but with my medical and care expenses I simply can't stretch anymore financially to pay for membership, the same as my health keeps me from ever living my dream of doing what you are doing exactly in the US. In fact I am pulling way back and cancelling subscriptions, policies and everything I possibly can. I absolutely love your videos for letting me come along with you on your journeys and share in the sights and experiences, as well as learning about the RV life with the HDT and all the fun you have. God bless you and safe travels
WOW, every time I think you have exceeded the limits of where you can park your rig, you surprise me, I have a 40' 5th wheel & I'm not sure I am brave enough to try to get into the location you are at for this video, very impressive! Always enjoy your videos & the appreciate the effort (& time) you put into them, I always learn about new spots to explore. Thanks to your videos, I found out about the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, KS, am here now, a very nice setup & good base to explore the area. Safe travels.
Another great area! You guys really have the knack for picking epic spots to camp! Those views were amazing! Wildlife coverage was top notch as always! (It looked like Little Timmie the prairie dog got a bit of dirt in his eye😂) Be safe out there you two…❤~Wendy
PS, thanks for taking the time to reply to my comments. You guys always seem busy and I truly appreciate you taking the time to respond. Love your channel! Be safe❤
Such cute prairie dogs and a lucky coyote sighting. Add feral horses and bison to the mix and it was a good wildlife stop. I will need to lookup the difference between wild horses and feral horses! Glad you guys didn’t get stuck but can relate to Sondra’s “hot flashes” on that road. Keep the videos and photos coming. I am living vicariously through you guys. Safe travels. I look forward to next week, and beyond!
Again, a wonderful video!!! Loved the conversation with Timmy😅 Amazing😮 The wild horses.. the Buffalo.. the prairie dogs.. and the scary moment with the coyote for the prairie dog family!!!
I just love watching your outro. The photography and music always bring a smile to my face and a sense of being out there seeing it firsthand. I so enjoy your videos from beginning to the absolute end.
Wow another magical landscape that needs to be viewed LIVE… those free and wild horses… does my heart good to see such openness still in such a vast unspoiled land… thank you so much for taking us along for the journey… stay safe stay blessed
Wonderful video, guys! My wife's from North Dakota and we love the Badlands. It's still wild out there. We were hiking to petrified forest once and in detouring around a group of buffalo on the trail, walked through tall grass and heard the unmistakable sound of a rattlesnake. Lesson learned--don't hike in the tall grass. :) Save travels!!
David was in rare form this week!! TR State park is a gem. We want to go back. We were traveling through and could not stay long but what we saw was impressive. And no crowds!! And we would like to check out the dinner and a show. Looked like fun. Thanks for sharing and giving us ideas to try. Safe Travels.
That dinner show looks great. We need to do that sometime. My wife still hasn’t been to South Dakota. The only state she hasn’t been to. Sounds like a future trip ! A good friend of ours grew up in North Dakota.
Back when my kids were teenagers we took the trailer and took the kids out west. Basically, it's one of my favorite trips we've been everywhere you've been, and it brings back such great memories. Keep up the great work. And the comedy show. I love it I do love it. Can't wait to see the fall tour. From Florida good afternoon.
I've lived in South Dakota for 11 years and this spring me and my husband went to Theodore Roosevelt park. It was great. I think better than Custer and badlands together Have fun. Love the channel
My goodness! All of the animals made this video! I’m sure you were having fun watching all of them for a week. It was good to watch you park that rig as usual and drive it through the most unusual roads. Thanks for the fun😎
And another Thursday is happily complete - watching your latest video, groaning at David’s humor, loving the awesome scenery. Will have to add the park to my bucket list. Thanks again!❤
Thank You both so much for taking us on another beautiful journey I could see that you both really enjoyed seeing all the wild life and beautiful scenery Mother Nature at her best. Safe Travels 🥰
Wow another amazing wonderful interesting video. ❤ Wildlife such as the prairie dogs so very cute and the bison and coyotes. ❤ Your sense of humour David 😊. Looking forward to your next video with great anticipation. With much ❤️ from Melbourne Australia 🦘
Would love to visit Medora. What a beautiful place. So how was the steak at the pitchfork dinner and did you enjoy the show? Truely enjoy the prairie dogs and all the wildlife. I could sit there all day. Dave and Sondra keep bringing up awesome videos.
Thank you so much for another wonderful video. This a part of our wonderful country I don’t think I’ll get to but thanks to you both I’ve feel as though I have been there.
When I went to school at a University in Eastern North Dakota one summer I remember telling my mom and dad I could count on one hand the few times there weren't any breezes there. In fact one day I believe a tornado was spotted like 20 miles away. I also had a North Dakota studies class where we took a field trip further west towards Bismark and the national park then further south onto a reservation.
A little word of wisdom about them interlocking axles, it’s always wise to lock them in long before you get yourself in a position where you are going to need them, because if your spinning when that air lock kicks it in, just as you was there, it can break a tooth off on that differential, and that is a very expensive mistake. Sometimes it takes time for the air in that system to equal out and make it fully engaged, so that is why you need to do it well in advance, if you can. I’ve replaced a many of them, especially with running the haul road so much, and it’s been a hard lesson learned for me. Lol.
I agree with Alexander. I have drove trucks in the winter all my life. ALWAYS lock POWERDIVIDER before you need. With the powerdivider unlocked you are still driving all four wheels. The lock locks both axles together. Unless you have locking diffs. a wheel on each axle can still spin. (I have repaired powerdividers that my employees have damaged)
@@bigtruckbigtravels yeah up here on the haul road (James Dalton Highway) we run with the interlocking axle (POWERDEVIDER) locked in 100% of the time, but we also have another trick up our sleeves, we have locking differentials front/rear drives as well. Usually you wanna be on really slick surface, stuck, or driving straight only while using that, so we only use that when we know we’ll need it, then if that doesn’t work, then it’s 15 minutes of pure frozen hell of throwing tire chains on all 8 drives, or as we refer to it as “throwing iron” and if that doesn’t work, then there is a certain word that describes that predicament “F**KED” is what we are, at that point. Lol.
@@bigtruckbigtravels yes sir, I believe you could do it if you had too. Lol. But I’m also like you, I don’t like it either, I don’t believe anyone likes it particularly! Lol. But I do agree with you on something you said on this video, you would be surprised where you can take them big RVs like the spacecraft RV, I bought mine in 2019 and I’ve had it into some pretty wild places up here in Alaska, we have a big heavily modified 10x10 W900L Kenworth semi truck we pull it with, and we have 2, 50 ton winches on it, in case we get it stuck we can usually get ourselves out. That is one thing that amazes me about y’all, I’ve seen y’all get yourself through some bad situations, and learn on the fly, but you all also plan very carefully ahead to not get yourself into things you can’t handle, or might not work for what you have, with that long heavy truck that is 13’6” tall. You guys do very well, I’m very proud of you guys, based upon what I’ve seen, you guys are very smart and knowledgeable especially in the HDT community.
Great video. If you all haven’t been already look into Grand Marais, Minnesota on Lake Superior. Lots to do and interesting area. September is a good month; not too crowded and pleasant weather.
Backing! Just like going forward but slower once you get the hang of it. Love the critters😊 Mahalo oh and your music sounds so good in my truck. I love bass and it’s right on!
Thank you guys for the great content you put out , iv followed you for quite awhile now on RUclips and I feel like I know you guys but in reality we have never met & with hope in time me & my wife can meet you guys or even camp , we only do weekends right now because my wife isn't retired yet but iv been disabled since 2009 and I'm 2 month from turning 60 . Well thanks again for your amazing content you do great videos I would love to learn from you ..Safe travels and never change from us here in kingman Arizona
Thanks for making such nice and professional videos. Waiting every Thursday what is next. Love the wildlife and nature. Impressed where a big rig can go!
Thoroughly enjoyed sharing your visit to Medora and Teddy Roosevelt NP. Truly a special place. Especially when you ass a visit to the theater preceeded by a yummy pitfchfork steak Fondue dinner! One of our very favorite places. So glad you enjoyed it. Amazing photography. Thank you for another great video. PS---looking forward to another visit from you all at our Boondockers Welcome Family Farm when you come through NW Missouri.
Thank you. We're ready for you now...powered tandems and more aggressive tread on the drives! We can't wait to come back through and spend more than an overnight!
Goooood video guys!!!! David, I got to tell you man, you have some big kahunas, to take your rig up there on that road!!! I’m sure you researched the hek outta it, as I dontje same thing for our 68’ setup. As far as the dinner - use the saying, “I’m putting my mouth in the trough.” 👍😃🍻
Our buddy just retired and sold all his bison…hubby has had yrs of experience rounding them up for immunization etc. the babies are so cute. great video 🇨🇦 ❤
Crazy some of the off pavement places you go. We just picked up our HDT Volvo named Maverick from Gregg @ Rv Hauler in Calgary. We are in Helena Montana today heading home to Kuna Idaho. Still sad we missed meeting you at the West Coast Rally.
Sure has some nice scenery, great job capturing it. Looked like your interlock did not want to click in. There is a video from a vocational Tech school that gives one of the bests explanations and demonstrations on how the interlock works, so many people miss understand it and explain it wrong. I hope you guys are doing well, stay safe and healthy.
My husband and I toured North Dakota for a month in July visiting Bismarck and everything west of it. We loved the Medora musical, the town, the Pitchfork fondue, Teddy Roosevelt National Park and other historical sites Like Ft Abraham Lincoln State Park and the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. Thanks for sharing your awesome experiences traveling.
It was so fun to see you in Owensboro at Cracker Barrel! My husband wonders how in the world you load and unload your car. Guess he’ll have to watch your videos! 😊
Hi Sondra, your truck does not have "4 wheel drive" what it has is a "power divider" that gives each differential equal power but because Orion has "open Diffs" only one set of wheels on each differential will drive and that drive always goes to the wheel that has least resistance hence why only 2 wheels, 1 on each axel were spinning when David was trying to back up. If you want all 4 sets of drive wheels to engage you would have to have "cross locks" fitted to both differentials and I doubt the cost would be justified for the few times you would need them. Here in New Zealand I drive a 700hp Volvo on log cartage with full lockup which I need on forest roads, especially in the winter. Love your channel and look forward to each video.
We called the prairie dogs dak rats. I have been to Theodore Roosevelt national park several times camping. The musical is fantastic. I loved the fondue. It was on the open prairie, not under a pavilion when I did the fondue thing. Of course, I haven been there since 2002. They also filmed a movie there called Wooly Boys. There is horse back riding and good fishing there. I caught a real nice catfish in about 3 feet of water. Medora is a very pretty little town. They have a Medora Christmas special that I never got a chance to see. You guys brought back so many great memories for me.
JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU I STOPPED AT SCRAPMANIA IN CEDAR RAPIDS IOWA!!! I told them I stopped there because of you Sondra, because I saw the video when you went there for you birthday! PS I am from Upper Michigan
I get so anxious every time I watch you two! Will they or won't they get stuck! I'm not sure that would be an enjoyable trip for me if every time I go somewhere, I'm not sure if I can turn around!
You thank us for watching, I thank you for showing us this beautiful country we live in. God bless.
Our pleasure! We're excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
I could watch those little prairie dogs all day long. They are so cute.
We agree. They are so darn cute with a personality!
I may have to get treatment because I am addicted to your channel. Yes, even with David’s dry sense of humor!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
@AmericaBound Me Too! It's 2:44 A.M. Can't sleep , yeah I haven't seen this one yet!
Oohhh... you're in bad shape now! There is no cure... and no turning back! 😆 😆
The prairie dogs were nice to see. Their noises are adorable. Good wildlife shots.
Thank you. Cute little buggers!

That was some serious driving, and what a spot. I've never seen prairie dogs before. Loved this week's episode. Well done!!
Thanks a ton, Brendan! The little dogs are cute... and food! Amazing what you see sometimes.
My God, the rear tires of the big head don't betray
Ok. I guess that's correct. Thanks for watching

Thanks, Christy. Feral horses are defined as a previously domesticated breed which has gone "wild" over the years.
Again, a wonderful video!!! Loved the conversation with Timmy😅 Amazing😮 The wild horses.. the Buffalo.. the prairie dogs.. and the scary moment with the coyote for the prairie dog family!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Timmy was cool 😎
I just love watching your outro. The photography and music always bring a smile to my face and a sense of being out there seeing it firsthand. I so enjoy your videos from beginning to the absolute end.
Glad you enjoy it! And thank you so very much. We enjoy this lifestyle and are excited when we can share it and that others get joy out of it as well.
I just love seeing the country through your eyes. My wife and I may never get to see it with you. Thank you.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks
This was such a wonderful video! Those little prairie dogs are so adorable!
Thank you so much. Lee! Those little guys are cute!
Awesome video, thanks guys!
Thanks for watching! We love sharing our adventures.

We were surprised, Pete, at how beautiful that area was compared to the South Dakota Badlands. Nice colors. Watch that tall grass! Yikes!
David was in rare form this week!! TR State park is a gem. We want to go back. We were traveling through and could not stay long but what we saw was impressive. And no crowds!! Very rare, Bill. The show and food was great. Super enjoyable evening. TR was a grand surprise. Thanks
As usual....Fantastic video!!! My wife and I are planning our retirement bucket list of travels off of your videos. Please keep'em coming!
Thank you! Will do! Buckle up, we've got more travels!
That dinner show looks great. We need to do that sometime. My wife still hasn’t been to South Dakota. The only state she hasn’t been to. Sounds like a future trip ! A good friend of ours grew up in North Dakota.
The dinner and a show was fun and tasty. Super unique which we enjoyed the experience.
Beautiful. We just traveled west, but not much time for sightseeing. Thanks for sharing your journey
Thanks for watching! Hope your trip was fun.
That campsite view has to be one of my favorites. Amazing.
It was spectacular and so peaceful! Thanks for watching the channel.
Whataburger is opening locations in SC! There is one on Dutch Fork Rd, Blythewood Rd and Devine St in Columbia
Nice. We may come back to visit! 😆 🤣 Thanks for watching

Thank you so much for the stunning scenery and beautiful wildlife! ❤ oh, and the jokes and puns too……..
Glad you like them, Judy! You know... there's no hope for you now... you like the puns! 😆 🤣
I've lived in South Dakota for 11 years and this spring me and my husband went to Theodore Roosevelt park. It was great. I think better than Custer and badlands together Have fun. Love the channel

Roosevelt was beautiful. I love the animals also. Was a beautiful week. Love your channel. Stay safe. Gig em
Thank you! Will do! Really appreciate the comments. Getting my Whataburger "fix" this week!
One of my friends did Teddy Roosevelt and woke up one morning to a few Bison sleeping outside the door of their 5th wheel.
That would be cool!
And another Thursday is happily complete - watching your latest video, groaning at David’s humor, loving the awesome scenery. Will have to add the park to my bucket list. Thanks again!❤
Glad you enjoyed it and we kept the groans to a happy minimum 😊!
Outstanding we were there in our camping days and enjoyed and reminiscing on how great that area was. Glad to see you weren’t Buffaloed!
Us too! Thanks for the comment.
Thank You both so much for taking us on another beautiful journey I could see that you both really enjoyed seeing all the wild life and beautiful scenery Mother Nature at her best. Safe Travels 🥰
Glad you enjoyed it, Joyce. We are excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
I love all aspects of your videos. And, I really love seeing Sandra behind the wheel of that huge rig.
Glad you enjoy it! Sondra enjoys driving... but better on pavement! 😆 🤣
That prairie has never been plowed, never touched by humans ... except for the Whattaburger on your left !!!
😆 🤣 that's funny... it was imported and never hit the ground!
Beautiful country!! Come back in 3 months and it will be -30 degrees....or colder! Enjoy
Ohhh... you are correct! Not in the plans! 😆
Backing up is always an option. You guys are my heros.
Thank you... always an option... but forward is to the future! 😆 🤣
I've been driving semi 25+ years I was saying dump the air suspension when you get stuck great job David!
Thank you. And we're glad you agree with dumping. You should have been there, it would have saved us about 10 minutes!
Thanks for having me along. I love you videos and I love them. Both of you. God bless you
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching the channel. We really appreciate your comments.

I know! It's amazing how the year has flown by! Wow!
Would love to visit Medora. What a beautiful place. So how was the steak at the pitchfork dinner and did you enjoy the show? Truely enjoy the prairie dogs and all the wildlife. I could sit there all day. Dave and Sondra keep bringing up awesome videos.
The steak was actually very tasty and the show was entertaining with some good talent. We really enjoyed our evening. Thanks

I had a great adventure...with you.
Lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife

Thanks for the tour
Our pleasure! It was quite the road in but not too bad.

Thanks, Tom. It's not on everyone's radar but it's very scenic.
Beautiful boondocking spot. Wonderful wildlife shots too. It's been a couple years since we've been there. Safe travels...💜
Glad you enjoyed it, Carol. We thought it was spectacular.
I enjoyed that it was so good. Especially the prairie dogs!
The prairie dogs were a great surprise! Thanks
Such a nice camping spot. I sometimes take my Class A Diesel Pusher off-road to get to a great spot.
It was really nice up there. Thanks

Oh yeah! He was an old timer!
Goooood video guys!!!!

As far as the dinner - use the saying, “I’m putting my mouth in the trough.”

That is awesome, Yvonne! Such a unique experience.
That's exciting about your truck. Good name! We'll be at the National Rally in October.
Awesome video good day with the wild life can't wait until next week have a good trip
Thank you. Travel Days ahead!
Wow that steak dinner looks awesome
It was fun and delicious!
I spent hours watching and filming the prairie dogs at Devils Tower.
They are addictive for sure.
Thank you. We'll check it out. It seems that it works better if you're moving. Lock it before you need it.
Beautiful area. We drove through the Ft Abraham Lincoln Park area and it was very nice. Beautiful state.
animals thank you
You're welcome. If there's wildlife around then Sondra will get a picture!
You really are a lovely couple and I love watching your adventures, I'm from the uk so our country side is very different to yours.
Thanks so much! 😊 The UK is very different but beautiful. My sister loves the Cornwall area.
It was so fun to see you in Owensboro at Cracker Barrel! My husband wonders how in the world you load and unload your car. Guess he’ll have to watch your videos! 😊
That was cool. Thank you. This video near the middle shows us unloading.ruclips.net/video/6igbzjzfFCo/видео.html
@@bigtruckbigtravels thank you.
So beautiful. Love your dad jokes.
Thank you.
Thank you. We've found to lock them before you need them. Still learning but we're getting better.
New tires looking good on that rig!
Thank you. We're very pleased with them. They were great on this road.
It's a very unique town. We really enjoyed it.

I always enjoy watching your wonderful travels.
Happy to hear that! Thank you for watching the channel.
I get so anxious every time I watch you two! Will they or won't they get stuck! I'm not sure that would be an enjoyable trip for me if every time I go somewhere, I'm not sure if I can turn around!
It does give us pause on occasion. We hope you enjoy the journey with us. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous view and loved the wildlife!! Thanks for sharing.
