What is the distance between the base and the sphere ? I'd like to use that for a show to ak float a fake bok, but I wonder if it will be visible from the public seats. If it's like 4 cm, it won't be visible.
@Nagadkcin Nope. It requires power for levitation. The item demonstrated in this video isn't actually the levitron top, which relies on precession for stability via high angular momentum. The floating earth in this video is made by the same company, but relies on a different method of levitation known as computer controlled levitation (CCL) which makes minor corrections to the electromagnetic field every second. That's why the globe does not need to spin at a high rate like the levitron does.
FYI, you can also unscrew one of the levitation units from you hoverboard and use this for the trick. In this case you don't even need the black box below :P
