Another lovely wee hopper I'll have to get a few of them tied up for the box. Funny I tied up a wee team of Lough style Bibio's earlier in the week 👍

Para or compa style hackles are a small amount of extra effort that improve the presentation on the water. Especially for early season I use these with some extras substituting the red for green yellow orange amber claret olive firey brown or hares ear. On the day that change makes the difference.

I did enjoy it, Davie... thank you.
You mentioned Kamasan B160. I've been meaning to ask... do you find a difference in size between the Kamasan and a Fulling-Mill short shank special of the same size?
And I noticed a video or two ago you are using a different pair of scissors. What ones are you using now? Are you still sharpening scissors?

Thank you Davie. Can you tell me what scissors you are now using? My Dr slicks are now not cutting it, so to speak, pretty sure you are using Fulling Mill but unsure as what type. Kind regards Michael.

      Hi Michael,
My Fulling Milling need a sharpen so I am using a cheap pair that I got off eBay, they are ok though but I had to sharpen the points as they were not fine enough...I like a 4 inch razor scissor as they are a good length and fit nicely in my hand..
      All the very best Davie

@@DavieMcPhail Many thanks Davie, do you sharpen your own scissors? Would love a video on how you go about that procedure, as you well know quality scissors don't come cheap unfortunately. Thanks again and kind regards Michael.

Excellent pattern superb tie, I’m HOPELESSLY spoiled watching you technique !! QUESTION ON UNRELATED TOPIC….HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT DYING SOME “NATURAL” COLOR CATGUT ?? Pretty much the same as anything else or are there some tips you might have for catgut specifically ? Of course I am thinking of your simplyamazingtodiefor SUNBURST color. L 👍🎣👍
