this made me so emotional wtf /pos no but seriously,,,,, when you look at it this way, impulse’s last life journey was so fulfilling compared to his third life one. in third life, he may have made it to the end, but ultimately, he was betrayed by his day one crew. he was betrayed by the person he gave his utmost loyalty to. he was betrayed by the person he angered arguably the most powerful faction on the server for. but in last life? sure, impulse died early- in the first session where anyone permadied was where he met his demise- but he didnt die in vain this time. he died fighting *alongside* his alliance. this time around, he died to the hands of the opposite side of the battlefield. impulse made the same choice of remaining loyal to his initial alliance, knowing it could very well have resulted in the same mistake- except it didnt. i wonder if impulse is content with his death this time around. i wonder if be compares his recent permadeath with his third life one and thinks “hey, im alright with this. i made my own choices, and they had their consequences; i chose to go along with grian for the wither fight, knowing it was dangerous. my death is my fault. but my alliance never betrayed me- they remained unwavering, at least to my face. i died a fighter, not a betrayed man. im alright with this.” i wonder if he finds it fulfilling. i think he must. sorry, this probably wasnt intelligible to you in the slightest! just wanted to share my scrambled thoughts :] have a lovely day
I felt this one HARD. You see all the beautiful animatics but they're all about scar, grian and ren but a lot of the other guys get pushed into the background and I'm so glad people are starting to recognize them :) I hope more people tell the other's stories, they were all amazing in their own ways
You should watch his livestream where he talks about his last session of last life. And the stream where he talked about the third life finale was a real good watch too

Impulse and BDubs story across the life series has been really cool. In 3rd life with BDubs betrayal, BDubs was able to kill Impulse, but ultimately it was a bad decision and he went down himself. In Last Life Impulse helped bring together the Wither Skulls to form a Wither that killed BDubs (And with Etho’s help hit him killed by getting him to attack the reds), but it also ultimately put him in a dangerous situation where he died. Then in Double Life these two coming together and arguably being the most stable couple. Staying together, fighting alongside one another in the face of the Scarlet Pearl. It’s almost poetic.
I like that Impulse sort of got his revenge in Last Life. After being betrayed by BDubs in 3rd Life he helped bring together the Infinity Skulls which took BDubs down to his last life and ultimately with the help of Etho asking him to murder another red life, led to BDub’s end.
I freaking love this i like that you chose this for impulse because you can see the way impulse changes over the series and i love how you draw them and their ghost eyes

I was already incredibly obsessed with this animatic, your use of framing and expression, but this now with impulse and bdubs soulmate bond in double life has brought me back here to watch on loop and get back into obsessing over it
Rewatching this now with Double life as the next chapter in this story is so intriguing i love this animatic and now its even better then how amazing it was before

One of the really fun/frustrating things about Minecraft smps is that you can hardly ever experience every side of the story. There's always more to discover. I've never watched Impulse's pov before, so I hadn't really thought about his story in the life series much. This has reminded me that there are many things going on in smps that we might not notice from the povs we each choose to watch :)

I finally got around to watching Impulse's third life videos (I know three years late-) and rahh I finally actually get this animatic. I've loved this animatic for years cause your artstyle and expressions are just absolutely fantastic but without watching his pov it really doesn't have the same impact. So… I just wanted to share. I have a head cannon the 3rd Life and Last life is just this messed up game by someone higher up. There’s always a winner.. and there’s always a form of entertainment. Players also remember their past season and based on the fact that last life was so well received there’s probably gonna be a season 3.. so…. They also relive this in different places but with the same people for the most part. Idk I just thought it was fun to think about

This is such a good concept! I love the idea of 3rd life and last life being a continuation of one story. Plus the use of Rose’s turn is immaculate!
