Even if the books end with Bran being King it is going to be so different because unlike the show the books are going to have a payoff for Bran going beyond the wall and meeting the children of the forest and blood raven.

I agree abou the "quality" of writting regarding Arya and that west of westeros there is probrably just Essos, and that an Arya spinoff show is a terrible idea, but the part about her sailing west is something I think will happen, her direwolf is named Nymeria, and the original Nymeria left her continent and sailed west in a dangerous Journey and if Arya is surviving to the end I think is more likely for her to go on her own adventure even it's one we are never ment to see rather than end beeing a lady or a a bodyguard/assasin for a sibling, she could be the one to prove the world is round without a doubt and map eastern Essos.
The way I see it with dany and kingslanding and how that shit goes down is I think drogon himself burns the city, while dany is riding him and cant control him, be it because of anger, grief, or just being a powerful dragon with no thought of human life, making dany appear evil. I could be wrong, but it is definitely a possibility. I think hotd was shedding some light on that aspect, and we do know dany does have a hard time controlling her dragons, even drogon in particular. Let me know what you think.

Because they had no intention of adding JonCon and fAegon, I'm fairly sure they adapted Jon's character to fill the role fAegon would have played. Not exactly the same, but reimagined so it would work. This is why Jon is resurrected rather than reanimated. I also think they simply dropped Jon's story. Many fans are so sure about where they think the show will end up I think they've lost sight of the structure GRRM builds in. Yes, there will probably be a "Dance" of dragons. What many seem to write off is the obvious set ups for one between Lions and Krakens. I'm fairly sure there will be a Dance of Wolves as well. Catelyn was foreshadowing one from the first book. Between which Starks is had to tell, but it's a fight that's been hanging on the wall for a long time. Like those readers, I think D&D didn't really want to dead with it so they wrote these Dances out. Jon should probably Dance with Sansa or something before the Wolf faction confronts the Dragon faction. But Dany can't do that if fAegon isn't there so I think they merged all the Dances into one and rearranged the players. In Jon's case, the easiest way to do that was to quickly resolve his contest with Sansa, name him Aegon, and graft fAegon's onto his. To do that they had to drop the connection to the Golden Company. I think most readers oversimplify the narrative in the same way GoT did, which is unfortunate.
All the show needed to do was have rumors spread that Dany blew up the Great Sept of Balor like a terrorist attack since she’s a Targaryen with Dragons and Targaryens have been known to be mad and obsessed with fire. Then they should’ve shown Cersei having the pyromancers spreading more wildfire around the city and when Dany and her army attack one dragon blast leads to a domino affect of the city blowing up. This would’ve told the viewer Dany did not intend to do that and it was actually Cersei’s doing, but history in the realm and amongst the people would always blame Dany.
I was never much of an animated fan.. However.. People should go watch The trailer for The Witcher video game called "Hunting Monsters".. There's also another one but I can't remember what it was called.. Watch those trailers and think about an ASOIAF show using it..and then realize that trailer was made almost 10 years ago..so I can only imagine how much better the technology is now.
A Night To Remember is the 2nd one, and the better one.. An ASOIAF show made the same way A Night To Remember Witcher Trailer was made would be incredible.
I also agree with this, while “a dream of spring” WOULD make sense for many reasons as it’ll almost 100% be a new long night that’s ended, there’s so many better choices tbh that don’t exactly spoil the story, but maybe George is going for that “Return of the King” moment 😅
