The Lunos decentralized high efficiency heat exchange ventilation system is a breakthrough in building technology and options - combining high performance with simplicity of installation and operation.
Rather than installing a central heat exchange unit, requiring extensive ducting and construction intervention and coordination, as is typical - one can now install these Lunos units through exterior walls, without ducting. More information at foursevenfive.com
Are these available in Canada? I couldn't find them on the Canadian version of your site.
They are available in Canada, but unfortunately not from 475. We recommend you contact Lunos HQ in Germany to find the dealer that serves you.
@@475.SUPPLY Thanks.
it looks like they are located on outside walls? What do you do for ICF construction or SIPS home? Also do you have ability to set up hepafilter to clean outside air coming in from pollen etc.
You're right, each fan must be located on an exterior wall. For concrete this would mean pre-casting openings where you want the fans to go. Any existing assembly would require getting a hole saw to drill out the correct opening.
How does this compare to Zenda ERV systems.
The Lunos system performs the same tasks as a centralized system, but does so without ducts, in a decentralized way. One fundamental difference is that the Lunos system is only available as HRV and not available as ERV because it can handle only a small amount of humidity recovery. If you are interested in high efficiency centralized HRVs and ERVs, we recommend taking a look at the Flair system from Brink - the highest efficiency heat recovery system available in North America.
Is it complies code. i.e exhaust must be 3 feet from OAI
this system would not be for me as it creates to many penetrations to the outside.
