Oops ur ideas etc are gr8 don't know if it's just me you swiggly nail pattern design was so distracting causing my scalp to "crawl". Had to stop watching. It creeped out. Anything with certain designs I get creept out. Those nails did it for me sorry. 🙈 Nothing against u personally. Just very distracting esp dealing with lots of different fab designs aswell, too busy,( can't see where pieces start and end.) Really wanted to see ur wk, but had to stop for that reason.
Thanks for talking about the "stay stitching " you did. I have never seen this technique before, and I always struggle with getting that side even when stitching it closed.
Loved the tour. Your sewing room is great and so organized. My sewing room is great but not nearly as organized. Hope you'll do vlogmas in some form but not if it's too much. Thanks for the tour.
Thank you so much! It's not always as clean as the video shows, hahah! ;) I have some ornament videos if you look at my RUclips, but hopefully I'll be able to sneak in some more Christmas projects : )
Good instructions. You have a soothing voice & beautiful hands. The little Hedgehog is so Adorable!! I’ve got to try him!! (You sure make mitered corners look Easy)! Thanks for sharing!❤✌️
Those were the best ideas. I have seen the tissue holder with 2 fabrics. I really like it with the 4 fabrics as you did. Very good tutorial on all the ideas.
Amazing projects. I’m going to make some of them right away 😊😅. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. They simple and amazing things that are useful and we can use as gifts. 😍😍😍😍😍👌👌👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
0:16 I'm excited. I'm a first time sewer at 35 lol. Well I bought mynmachine 6 months ago got nervous about threading the machine and then put it away. I really hope u have lots of tutorials for e to binge watch! I wana make my kids things and make gifts instead of spending my money on big companies
I LOVE ideas for small (and large!!) projects that use up scraps!! 🎊👏🎉 Useful AND thrifty. 😎🤘 I enjoyed this video, very instructional and many different projects. 👍😉
I have found that spray basting sticks better when you spray the back of the fabric, rather than spraying the batting. Spray droplets on batting sink down into the fibers of the batting, leaving less adhesive for the fabric to adhere to. 😉
To that coaster, I would add a metal less rubber band loop sew it in and pass the loop through the baby pacifier. The baby has something to hold, and you can easily find the pacifier. I would also add poly fill before sewing everything together ❤️ 👶
These are great! However I went to your website to download the pattern for the fabric trays and when I click to sign up for your newsletter so I can get it, it says the link is bad. I'd really like to get that pattern.
Question: every time i try to make something like the coaster that is a sandwich, everything shifts a ton! The walking foot helps a lot, but it still shifts, so nothing is the right size anymore! 😭 Any suggestions?
That has happened to me before, especially when topstitching - it's frustrating! I would change your needle and then check your feed dogs and tension. You can also use more pins and baste really well with the batting. Then, possibly take your machine in for a tune-up if those don't work!
Check your machine, it should not gather up the edge when you sew on 1 piece of fabric. Ask a mechanic how to check the tension in your bobbin case. Something is off.
I had never seen a pom pom maker. You can use cardboard instead, no tool needed. This also makes the size more flexible you can just cut the cardboard the right size.
Thank you so much for all of these great ideas!!! ❤❤❤

This is one of my favorite scrap fabric videos ever, you had some really creative ones and cute ideas. Loved it.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for talking about the "stay stitching " you did. I have never seen this technique before, and I always struggle with getting that side even when stitching it closed.
You're welcome! That trick helps so much, I have trouble keeping the edges from stretching without it!
All of these ideas are GREAT for my church’s fundraiser and use all the scraps!!

That is such a clever idea!!
Nice
Thanks!
Tip: you can use parchment paper when you’re ironing down onto fusible. This keeps your iron clean 👍🏻
Oh I've never tried that, thank you for the tip!
What are you using to iron on?
Great ideas.
Thank you Norma! 😊
Thank you for your ideas. Where can I buy your magnet pin plate
Thanks for watching Mariana! The magnetic pin cushion is from Riley Blake, I couldn't find it online so maybe it has been discontinued
When you show the bow in the beginning it has a colored elastic, how do we do that? Do we need a knit fabric?
The colored elastic is called "foldover elastic" and it comes in those pretty colors - you can find it in some craft stores and on amazon!
3:46 For real beginners, I find this up close very helpful
These are great! However I went to your website to download the pattern for the fabric trays and when I click to sign up for your newsletter so I can get it, it says the link is bad. I'd really like to get that pattern.
Oh no, thanks for letting me know! There is a download link on this page that you can try: seekatesew.com/diy-fabric-tray-tutorial/
did you cover the elastic with fabric as well??
No, it's actually just a pretty elastic! You can search "foldover elastic" to find it - it's used for headbands!
Did I miss how to cover the elastic for the bow?
No, the elastic is just a pretty elastic. You can use foldover elastic or lace elastic - the kind used for headbands!

2:38 so far so cute
7:01 you mean right sides?
I love your video I do wish the music was not playing a little distracting . If your interested
Thanks Kathleen, good feedback :)
If this is a dumb question, I’m sorry…do you have two pink irons?
I have a large one and a matching small one but I think I only used the small one in this video. :)
I feel so guilty for tossing so many of my scraps
There are so many great things to do with scraps!!
Check your machine, it should not gather up the edge when you sew on 1 piece of fabric. Ask a mechanic how to check the tension in your bobbin case. Something is off.
I’ll make sure to check the tension next time!

Oh that's so smart!!
😢
Your speaking pattern is annoying.
It's like you're watching wait too many Kardashian episodes
Sorry. Your video is way, way too long. Gotta go.
Ya, im gonna zoom through this! 1 hour IS WAY TOO LONG.
Haha! There are some time stamps in the comments if you are looking for something in particular :)
You spoke wrong- said wrong sides together- you did the opposite.
I put long videos on in the background while I sew.
