Many thanks for this demo - it was exactly what I needed to hear - as you say JayB and Kebu show off the instrument well, but I really needed to hear the bread and butter sounds too!
I do not know much about the Juno D. So I can´t really compare. Today, I´d buy a S30 just for a low price. It´s outdated and clearly was made as a low cost instrument. I guess the same goes for the Roland J.D.
Much better than Juno. Actually, S30 is better than Motif. I had a Motif ES, sold it and still keep my S30. Yes, the case is plastic, looks worse than metal frames but extremely light in the end. Its effect engine is very strong btw. Last but not the least, the most interesting aspect of this board is its unique sound presets/waveforms which cannot be found any other following Yamaha models...
