Beautiful video Dregs! I met him at Shirtique in the 80s as a child, then interviewed him and Spie for a high school video project (Think Spie still has this footage), and whenever I saw him he ALWAYS showed love and encouragement. Like many in the graff community I was super shocked and sad when he passed. But, folks like yourself , his brother John, son, TDK, and all of those who were inspired by him keep his legacy alive. Thanks for documenting and sharing!!
Huge props to Dream, his style was a key influence in British graffiti especially late 80's & early 90's through the zines that were available in London etc & personally was one of the key figures that kept me interested in continuing my graffiti until this day, all my love to his family & friends, suerte!. I wish more people would strive to be at his level, the world has been enriched by Dreams artwork
Yo, u Brits need 2 step up yo game in accent style. Aint no one wants 2 live in Britain cause of that British accent. "You feel me? Then act like iT" Party Arty, Ghetto Dwellas PEACE ONELOVE
My moms worked downstairs from shirtique in Hilltop mall so almost everyday i would run around that place stealing comic books/toys and them clips for the starter jackets and woukd watch and talk with Mike about graffiti and hip hop.. he definitely showed love and made time for a kid to teach me lettering and raid stories in the freight yards. RIP DREAM ~DresOne
I'm from Calgary, Alberta, and the loss of Mike in the world of graffiti was felt on the streets from here. His legacy will continue on! Thanks for the video, the words from his mouth were pretty powerful and his story has always inspired me to live through my own adversities.
