If youre interested in more Be More Chill songs to react to, I'd definitely recommend checking out Two Player Game!! While this song is later in the musical, after the MC Jeremy started hanging w/ the "cool kids" & ignoring his best friend Michael, Two Player Game is actually set much earlier in the show & is sung by both Jeremy & Michael, & it explains a lot about how solid their friendship was to begin with, before Jeremy changed & let all the attention go to his head. Plus it's just a good song overall too, it's so much fun to sing 🥰🥰

My personal favorite from this musical are probably either The Pitiful Children or Two Player game
fun fact: I only learned this afterward, but during my bat-mitzvah party, I couldn't find some of my friends and turns out they were having a sing-along to this in the bathroom

Ooooh I love listening to this song!! If I ever feel overwhelmed, I put this song on and just sing it over and over pouring every single emotion out until I can’t go on. It’s such a freeing feeling for me
Damn but I love this song! It and Matilda's "Quiet" have the two best musical examples of a panic attack I've ever heard.
You should react to “Turn It Down” by Or3o and so many more. it’s an amazing Fan made Encanto song about Dolores. What’s even more amazing is that they got her actual voice actor to sing in it. 😁

I have definitely checked my phone in public because of an awkward situation, however I know I never get texts anyways so it's a bit more awkward when the person goes-
This song will never not give me chills, when you listen to it putting on a whole performance is the only option lol
If you continue BMC, I recommend doing it in order, because it can be kinda confusing if not. Besides, the first song More Than Survive is a good introduction song in my opinion, and it's also a a good song in general. The second song, I Love Play Rehearsal, gives us more on the personality of the main love interest. Then the third song, I think, is The Squip Song, and this is where everything starts to snowball. Two Player Game shows more of Jeremy's and Michael's friendship before Jeremy starts to slowly but surely fuck up. And so on, and so on.
OH YES! Absolutely amazing song and singer! BMC is definitely a very goofy musical most of the time, but some of it's more 'real' moments are fantastic. And even the goofier songs are still absolute bangers, "Upgrade" certainly comes to mind! If you feel up for it, I'd say definitely check out more from the musical! It can be hard to understand to story if you're not listening in order though! XD
George Salazar is amazing, I love him. He also plays Grover in the Percy Jackson: The Lightening Thief musical so I'd suggest checking that out too if you haven't already. 'Drive', 'Good Kid' and 'The Last Day of Summer' are some of my favourite songs
Ahhhhhhhh Be More Chill. Takes me back to high school. We'd play the soundtrack and sing along on the car ride to school with my friends. This song definitely encapsulated the anxiety and angst we were all dealing with around that time. I'd love to see more reactions to this soundtrack! The Smartphone Hour is a fun sort of chaos. The intro song More Than Survive does a good job setting up story and characters, so if you want to dive into this musical, that'll be a good starter. The animatics are pretty awesome!
I think what made this song stand out especially from this musical is that first of all, we all have felt like Michael at some point in our lives, and second of all, the performer, George Salazar, who portrays Michael and his feelings so incredibly well. Sometimes I really need to hear or sing this song, when I'm hurting or when my anxiety is high. I'm glad you enjoyed the song, David! And yes, they did that with 'I wanna dance with somebody' and I enjoy that part lots. Especially at the part where the knocking starts, this is an incredibly accurate portrayal of how you feel when you're experiencing a panic attack. So it's near and dear to my heart!
