I knew from the first pod bob brought you on that it wouldn’t be the last we heard of Jersey jerry. The passion and determination you show day in and day out has inspired me to take a leap into my own dreams. Are stories are very different and I could never understand exactly what you went through in those years. However, your fight to be something after coming from next to nothing resonates with me greatly…love you jer keep it up

It’s crazy how similar all of our stories are, from the locked doors and cameras in the house, everything, maybe it’s an Italian mother thing but thank god my mom never gave up on me either. I got almost 3 years now myself.

Hey Jerry. I’m a HUGE fan and I knew a little bit about your past and struggles with addiction, but now I feel I know you so much better and am so incredibly proud of you for dealing with- and eventually with hard work and dedication- overcoming drug addiction.
I hope that this video series will not only entertain your many fans and others who find and watch them, but can help people who are or have been addicts to overcome their disease and live healthy and productive lives going forward.
What you’re doing Jerry is super admirable and we are all very very proud of you and what you’re doing to help others.

Crazy how well we can relate to one another. My childhood or lack there of is where it stemmed from. Grew up in a house where my own mother and step father kept me secluded from my 3 sisters bc I wasn't his son. My room was in a old cement basement next to the furnace on a couch where I would stay. They would come down and do drugs and make me face the couch and hit me if I'd look. I was very young when it all started. He would abuse me physically and mentally every day. I would see my biological sister be molested and couldn't fight for her. He was a big and tough man. My mother never ever gave us attention. She chose him and left him do as he pleased. He ended up committing suicide when I found out he was the father of my sisters baby when she was 14 I tried everything in my power to kill him but my mom still protected him. I told everyone I could so he couldn't outrun it. It was all I could do bc he would just beat me up. He took his life bc I told everyone. My mom would end up leaving us to a house with no electricity, water or heat and had rats bc they wouldn't pay the trash bill. I ended up with mental health issues that I wasn't aware of and joined the military. It was very good for me and taught me alot. I served my time and didn't re enlist for a woman that I gave the world to end up cheating and leaving me. So I didn't trust anyone bc of my family history and then the first time I felt love this happens. So I started boozing and taking pills to feel comfortable. I fought anyone who gave me a reason bc I never wanted to feel a bit of what my step father did to me. Sadly ppl loved and encouraged who I was when I was under the influence. I was outgoing(which im not), funny and had the respect and attention from ppl I always wanted. I used women to fill voids and things eventually led to heroin. The military was good bc I never had time to deal with the trauma I had internally compounding. It all hit me when I got out. Dropping out to support myself, the military gave me a purpose and was bigger then me. It gave me pride for once. I was on drugs and alcohol for roughly 10 years. I finally asked for help and went to rehab where they told me there'd be more to follow. I'm very competitive and stubborn so I took that as a challenge. I've been clean since then and haven looked back. My wife and I even took my mom in when she was stricken with cancer. I had to do things a man shouldn't for his mom and she ended up dying in my arms fighting to breath. I never once hung her past over her nor brought it up. I like Jerry, got a gig with a utility company where I make good money for my area. My wife and father in law gave me a reason to live. He's the one who got me a bed in rehab. I chose to live for them bc I could care less about me at the time. God has spared me. I left out alot but I hope anyone struggling knows, we are all with you. Your not alone!!! You have alot to offer the world. Addicts who turn themselves around are some of the greatest , resilient ppl I've ever known. If anyone needs to chat I'm available. God is good! Your next high may be your last breath. Make the change now, show the ppl you love.. you can do it. I can't describe the feeling of proving ppl wrong and proving the ones who stayed around right. Being trusted and respected is worth it all. Sorry for the rant. I have love for you all!!......thank you for sharing Jerry that was very brave of you. I'm proud of you brother. Keep up the great work. You deserve all the credit and rewards coming your way! God is using you brother.

Dude to put it all out there like this takes fucking balls, and thank you for doing all this and being you. I don't think most people could honestly imagine what it takes to get out of the kind of shit you were in but they need to, the other side needs to understand what the fuck the real world is actually like outside the bubble of modern comfort and living in a nanny state. Survival is the goal sometimes when you're pushed completely up against it and when you can come from the brink like that then the rest is gravy. So fucking awesome to see a guy like Jerry setting the world on fire! Blue collar built this fucking world, you're fucking A right it was always blue collar because nothing else exists without the guys who can get shit done! Jerry getting it done on a new front now, addiction in our country is on fucking notice now that Jerry has a platform!

Jerry your so genuine, honest, and real that it is almost impossible not to love you. As someone who has struggled with addiction, I've always found stories of others journey to be helpful in staying on the right track. Self accountability is something that is really hard to grasp as a youngster but is one of the most important aspects, in my opinion, on the direction of your life. You grow up not needing this accountability as if you do something wrong your parents generally discipline you. When you become an adult the choice is ultimately all yours which is much easier said than done. I can't wait to watch the evolution of this show Jerry and know that I'm not quite in the kid range but can certainty say you've brought a lot of humor to my life initially but also more importantly long term, wisdom. Thanks!

P.S. I’m also a HUGE Steelers fan. I grew up in Philly in the 60’s and 70’s as a die hard Eagles fan, but they sucked so bad back then that I decided to rout for the Steelers, the other NFL team in PA, and I still have an original “terrible towel” that I got at Three Rivers Stadium back in the 70’s during those early Super Bowl years. It’s my prized sports memorabilia for sure.
