24 : How to make CLEAR GESSO / DIY CLEAR GESSO / Homemade CLEAR GESSO

In my last tutorial I received a lot of queries on how to make CLEAR GESSO at home. Found a whole lot of recipes on RUclips and got thoroughly confused so I did some trial and error and finally made my own clear gesso that worked for me. I was very happy with the result of this home made clear gesso and so thought of sharing this recipe with you all. Most of you all might be knowing how to make it but for those who do not I hope you find this video informative and educative. Give it a try ... and I am sure that the experience will be satisfying and and you will save so much of money 💰😉

I watched the White Gesso youtube too. If you use white acrylic paint to make white gesso, If you use black acrylic you would get black Gesso , blue acrylic blue gesso, and so on? or do you get a grey or a lighter color of the acrylic paint that is used?

I haven't tried another colour yet so am not sure but I think It will be just a little lighter . If you try it do let me know 😊

Thank you for the informative video. Does the talcum powder make the surface slightly rough? I've heard that Liquitex clear gesso does make the surface a slight bit rough and that's the result I'm actually looking for.

Thank you ...if you want it little textured you can use marble powder as that is not as fine as talcum powder... Try a little amount and see see if you are getting the required texture.

How much time does it take to dry ?
