Denmark is a terrible place for accommodation and rentals. 12 years ago I in the company of my wife were actually booked into a ghost house through online Booking.. It was so scary and there were actually ghosts restlessly moving round in the house all through the night. We were alone there. It was an abandoned old house without doors by the sea. There was no personnel but a self let inn. It was too late and dark to run out after driving through the night from Germany. Till this day Im still traumatised by the horrific experience.

I'm a Jamaican/American. I plan to visit at least one country on each continent. Initially, I had France and Spain on my list for early 2024, but with France reputation for exploiting Africa, I removed them from my list. I have no interest in Europe, but I just want to fulfill my visit to each continent. Not all of South America welcomes Blacks/Africans. Argentina, which was on my list, is racist towards Blacks. I removed them from my list and decided only to visit Brazil (the largest Black population outside of Africa). Although I have citizenship in the U.S. and lived there for ten years, I finally left. I'm now enjoying Kenya, but I vow never to live in the U.S. again. It's just too toxic for Black people. I'm also not ready to settle in Jamaica, but I will visit regularly.

I am African and have visited Jamaica, Belize and Colombia and never at any point worried about my black skin.
Look at how their goalkeeper was clowning Mbappe after the World Cup. We are too mentally colonized. In the summer most NBA athletes head to Italy, Spain etc but no thought at all about spending ha fraction of that in Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seychelles or South Africa which are just as beautiful and you don’t have to deal with the underlying hatred.

Personally I don't care one bit what color peoples skin have, we are all worth the same in the eyes of God and I do believe it will backfire if one isn't a good person to other people - no matter their race, sexuality, interests, age or whatever. Most people in Denmark think like that, but of course there's idiots everywhere. That said I acknowledge this girl had a bad experience, I would be mad too. As a traveller myself, I can tell you to never ever leave your things in a hotel room if you didn't Pay up fully for the room and getting some kind of proof of payment b4 you leave the hotel. When I'm about to leave a hotel room, I usually pack and lock my belongings just in case because I don't like people touching my stuff. If you had remained in the hotel until the system was up and took care of ur business everything would've been good. A lesson learned. By the way, did u get your partial monies back? Enjoy ur travels..

The fact that you paid for one night and the system was down, you were supposed to check out and check back in. The fact that you paid online, that was for a new reservation so you had to check in again and more than likely, they would have given you a new room. They definitely assumed you had left and everything you left behind will be bagged just in case you went back. Whoever packed your stuff is the person who was on the wrong for not handling your stuff with no respect. It’s clearly a misunderstanding and those of you who are already assuming it was racially motivated that’s not true. That’s just how things work in the Western World. That’s how it is here in America. Otherwise the Kenyan Lady wouldn’t be working there.

I agree with your explanation, you put good points, but my nagging question is, didn't the morning staff see this coming? Why didn't they atleast explain this to her, and make sure she atleast booked a new room, or packed her things her herself and live it the storage for when she comes back and checkin into a new room/or same room if its still available.
Surely the morning staff should have left clear information, even manually for the afternoon staff. They should have been careful since the guest has insisted that she dosn't want her staff touched, and they should have known that without clear information, there is a possibilty that the afternoon staff may clear the room...
...any way, as you put it, it could be just a case of misunderstanding....or as see it, incompetence on the part of the morning staff... We have to be careful trying to guess peoples' motives or reasons for doing somethings, because there is hardly a sure way of knowing that in full.

To me it was a miscommunication that's it, either between you and the workers at the reception or between the workers at the reception and the cleaning staff. Not everything has to be racism, just because in your opinion your were not treated well that it means that you were a victim of racism. It's too easy, you have 0 accountability.
They arrived in your room they had to clean for the next client (at least that's what they thought because you initially booked for one night) and instead of just cleaning they had to remove all your stuff scatered everywhere in the room. Do you really think they would take their limited time to organise all your stuff. They had to clean other rooms before a certain time.

Lovely, the first video I watched from you was when you were in Egypt. If you survived Egypt then nothing should shake you. I`m talking from experience having visited Egypt 4X in the past.
I hear you on your privacy being violated.
I think the problem was a miscommunication from the outgoing staff. So the new(incoming) staff not knowing exactly what happened wanted to avoid trouble and did THE RIGHT THING by clearing the room for the next traveler because to them the room is not yet paid, it`s 4,5,6,7 hours and you`re not back. Sure the boss will not accept their excuse that they were waiting for you to come and pay.
Have I had things removed from a room when I had booked for 3 weeks? Yes. I can count 100 little inconveniences when I travel, you just deal with it as you go.
Now your private property being placed in a clear garbage bag, This is what most hotels will do so that when you come back, you are able to see your items even without opening the bag. It sounds rude but it`s not meant to be rude, it`s just how it`s done.
While in Europe, don`t miss the French Riviera Cote d Azur, Nice, Monaco, and Rome. Switzerland is also another place you should visit.
All the best, please stay safe and don`t make quick decisions, you should have taken the free room, not to say I always make good decisions when I'm angry.
