Some truly beautiful shots from Whitby I wouldn't fancy being out there on a fishing boat. I've had the privilege of sitting in the ruins of Whitby abbey at sunset ( seen some glorious ones there ) a long time ago thanks for showing your photos and videos on here I hope I will visit Whitby again someday.

Great shots! Live in South Yorkshire and only seen the aurora once here (thirty years ago). Used to have to cope with the old sodium street lights. Now the lamps are all LEDs, the glow at night is even worse it's even harder to find dark sky - progress!
We saw the auroras on thursday 10.10.24,near Sheffield ,it was an amazing spectacular sight,not seen them before,so many beautiful colours and shapes, got loads of photos, very exciting evening 🌆✨😊

Magnificent video. It really chronicles the might of the sea. The photos of the aurora borealis were really artistic, especially those from the Abbey.

Been up to Sainsbury's today in Whitby and raining on the way up but sun shining on way back an hour later 🌧️🌞
