      I haven’t tried myself the GRX, that is the problem: I can’t compare the two. Shimano GRX is more expensive and probably is better, but it’s personal. I know it has two levers, while SRAM uses only one. It is better to have two separate levers in my opinion.

      Mine is 1x12. 40 in front and 11-44 on the back. It is sufficient, what you will miss with a similar drivetrain are the very strong speeds for pedaling over 50 km/h. Dedicated road bikes in fact should not have 1BY system.

    • @vladywashere
      @vladywashere  3 месяца назад

      I totally see your point, it is almost the same, but that GRX is considered better even though we can’t compare them as they are not in the same family. Pay attention as the GRX is 1x11.

      @@vladywashere In your opinion, the grx 1x11 will be better than the apex 1x12?

    • @vladywashere
      @vladywashere  3 месяца назад

      @@radekgacek8050 it is very confusing. There are 3 version of Grizl 8 available for the Swedish market. You are right, there is one with Shimano SLX M7100 10-45 12s. Another has the deore cassette at 11s. Then there is the Campagnolo Ekar. It depends how much you want to spend. At the moment, the grizl 8 1x11 has a little discount, so it comes close to the price of a grizl 7. It’s up to you. If you are familiar with shimano, opt for a bike with GRX. I would go for a 12 speeds, so rather Apex 12 or GRX 12.

    • @vladywashere
      @vladywashere  19 дней назад

    • @vladywashere
      @vladywashere  Месяц назад

      Are you asking if a 12 speed bike can tackle climbs? The answer is yes; it does a better job than my Tiagra 2x (20 speeds). On the contrary, it won’t get as fast as a road bike because of the gear ratio. For that you would better opt for a 2by.

      @vladywashere  Месяц назад

      @@Freeride____ I see now your point. It is a gravel bike, it won’t get much better than this on climbing. BUT, one could opt for a smaller front crank. I am ok simply because my comparison is with an all-road bike with a Tiagra 2by: faster on road, slower uphill. Talk to a bike mechanic and see the options. May be cheaper than we think to adjust it.
