Yo, just watched your video before changing my oil. I couldn't fit the filter from above so I went and put it in from under (easier for me, short and short arms). Couldn't find the threads and struggled. Set it down in there and went from the side, noticed I could see where it goes if I went from above the tire, and my arms fit well in that spot too and made it very easy to thread and tighten. Good video, thanks!
7:00 I can't do that. 2XL hands don't fit there. Anyone know a way to access the filter? I have to pay people to do this. Only this vehicle not the others.
Just wanted to add the oil on the gasket of the filter is for next time when changing the oil the gasket won't stick to the motor then when putting the new filter on it won't have two gaskets which will cause a leak
I'm still confused of exactly how much oil you should use, just finished my oil changed from that five quarts I would say a quarter of the bottle still there I thought it was 4.5 but I'm not sure when I read the dipstick it's a little bit above Max.
The Reason for putting oil in the filter before installing it is to avoid oil starving fo the bearings and engine on inital start up. You are shortening the life of the engine by doing it the way you are. You do not have to fill it full but you should put some oil in the filter to minimize the amount of time the engine runs with out oil in the journals after an oil change. There was oil in the old filter when you changed it and it is that way by design and for very good reason. You should be replacing as much of that oil in the new filter for the exact same reason.
Thank YOU! EVERY OTHER VIDEO I WATCH NOBODY MENTIONS THE SIZE OF THE SOCKET
Ford was also nice enough to put that filter in the worst spot.😂
you are the first video on U-tube to say the size of the oil drain bolt. Thank you

You can go from under but just be careful that you don’t get oil in face
Yeah I would try by going from underneath
Srry I have one question , the oil cap on the engine is dry just after shutting down, is that ok?

Shouldn't be a huge issue, no more than 5qts and it'll be okay
