You are such an amazing channel, VGL. Thank you for the hard work
theres a game i really want to find but i cant remember the name if you get the chance id love some help
its a sidescroller game where you fly around on a jetpack in space and shoot things its old and one of its defining features was if you wanted to upgrade youd have to be on the lookout for a building on the bottom labeled shop and it would pass you by if you didnt get to it in time
One thing with old games is when you are trying to find one of those obscure games that you got from one of those shareware collection discs back in the day and can't for the life of you find them.
I've been trying to figure one of those out for a very long time now. It was an overhead shooter. Levels were tight quarters, interiors with a future/cyberpunk vibe. You could play two players also and both players had to use the same keyboard. My friend Mike and I would play it all the time. No clue what year it was from or the name. The characters you played as were tude filled punk looking guys.
This is why im here lol
dude you don't even know how long I've searched and how many videos I've watched to just know the name of it and i still can't find it (it's kinda like a space shooter game thingy) 💀💀💀
Same
Me too!
90-th was the golden era of gaming, music and cinematics. Today, we also have a decent products, but, they are more like rare gems, in the big pile of trash.
yea, the biggest revolution was 3dfx. Man, it was a dream come true when those babies got out!!
true words man, sad but true
For me the sweet spot for gaming was the mid 90's to 2010. Those 15 or so years have had some great stuff coming out. These days, like you say most of it is just horrible, the odd game here and there is great but generally yeah....eh. Lost interest in modern gaming scene.
Oh, the nostalgia...
The era in which PC gaming meant you needed a decent flight stick. Gawd I miss they heyday of space combat sims. X-Wing, Wing Commander, Privateer, Starfleet Academy, Freespace...
...I need to break out my Saitek X-35 again.
Aw man, so many good games! Red Alert, Total Annihilation, StarCraft, Quake III, Unreal Tournament, still fun today!
Short on air combat games. An early 90s game I loved was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat which even inspired me to study aeronautical engineering at a University level.
Falcon 3.0, 4.0 games and their expansion packs are good too, although a little difficult to learn as they're simulators
The Curse of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, damn they were killer games in adventure type and bring back me to memories.
Yeah, The Lost Vikings, Outlaws, Delta Force is in the list!! Awesome games, remember me the good times with smart games.
Outlaws ♥️♥️♥️
Always makes me cry to see all of this... too many emotions and nostalgia from different time.
When you're looking for a game and dont find it on the list. But RUclips auto play to part ll at it's the first one. 🤗🤗🤗
Okay, you're forgiven! (I said where was BG in the first list). Nice list. good man!
This was an epic ride trough gaming history, thanks!!!
I'd love to suggest a handful of good (at least in my opinion) titles which were overlooked:
Blackthorne
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Shadowman
Uprise: Join or die
Dark Colony
7tn Legion
Take No Prisoners
Heretic II
Caesar III
The Settlers II
Operation Carnage
Comix Zone
Halloween Harry
Broken Sword franchise
archemidian dynasty!
@@dennishoogeboom3761 Fuckin' A, man! I had totally forgotten, a cool game indeed!
15:03 Man, I played this game at first time in the PS1 in 2000
man I remember these games lol thanks for cataloging these would forgot the names of them
I was looking for Myst without knowing its name since I saw it once and I'm looking to play it. Thanks!
Jonathan Ramos there is a remake in the works
I remember Command and conquer fps game. That was actually fun.
yeah but it was in 2002
Omg I almost forgot about this one it was by far my favorite as a kid…as well as Crystal Caves
Highly unlikely I'll find it, but does anyone remember the name of a game that was a side view with a guy who moved around with a rocket pack? and when that guy got hurt, he made a noise that sounded like "ought".
i found my childhood games because your video ( (1997) Ignition and (1998) Heart of Darkness) Thanks dude.
the era of the best games. Today corporations try to copy those
These videos really really help ppl ty
BRO thank you i was looking for (Starshot: Space Circus Fever) for years , finally i seen it 😭♥️♥️💔💔 i didn't knew that game name ...
The apostrophe is on the wrong side. The apostrophe of omission is used to indicate the omission of something. In this case 19, so... 1990s becomes '90s not 90's which is the improper use of the apostrophe of possession. Also, I like your video, because I'm in my 50s. :)
Anyone remember a game in the early 90s , it was mystery game runs in pyramids .
the damn thing I can't recall its name !!!!
10:53 Aah yes, the good old "Moosejaw Falls" map.
I believe this video make people happy because they could remember a game(name)
11:44 i finally found the name of this game😄thx alot
I'm going to tell my kids that lighter colors weren't invented until the late '90s.
Also, Delta Force looks like it takes place on a golf course, lol.
11:33 that is a non-90s source port of quake 2, not the original. likely KMquake2
Lemmings, Syndicate, GTA, GTA 2, Fallout 2 ^^
Frontier: Elite 2 doesn't make that noise and is a great game set in space, this clip does not do it justice lol.
Note to self: check out these ones:
The Immortal
The Terminator
Frontier Elite
Jack in the Dark
Syndicate
Night Trap
Police Quest SWAT
The City of Lost Children
Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy
PQ SWAT is a pile of garbage. All missions are FMV-driven, with create-your-own-adventure style choices. Stay far, far away.
SWAT 2 is an XCOM-style isometric tactic game where you can improve your odds by following police procedure - negotiating with a hostage taker, for instance.
SWAT 3 and 4 are where the series comes into its own: a Rainbow 6-style squad-based FPS with emphasis on non-lethal takedowns and hostage protection. 4 even has a few Easter eggs to the series' point & click roots: your instructor in the tutorial is Sonny Bonds.
Amazing videos for research purposes.
Football Glory - looks exactly the same as Sensible Soccer? Are they different games, or by the same company?
does someone remember a game about a guy that has to get keys to open doors by fighting zombies, spiders, etc
Great jop !
Some of my favorites was Betrayal at krondor.
@11:55 They definitely used these footsteps in Resident Evil 1-3.
Many games are missing like that house of the death
I was a beta tester for Ragnarok!
How about a hundred games from 2000-2005?
i really miss those quest games :(
Looking for a kids game that had different games but one you could pick different pics to color & when you did it turned into a little 15 second cartoon
I suck at using mouse and keyboard for gaming not matter how much I try I just can’t get used to it. I wish all games had full controller support on pc because there’s so many games I’d wanna play that I just can’t 😑
there was a game that was in my first laptop back in 2005 but I do not remember the name of that game, where you control a fly inside of a suit or robot with a gun, more like a style of super mario but you jump and shoot, I still trying to find that game since I have memory of it, if someboy have any idea of which game I may talking about, please feel free of reply me, THANK 🐶 !!!!
I am not able to imagine that we must pay $$$ for such games.
i'm searching for a game that have graphic and camera angle like age of empires, but they have chest to be explored and opened, i don't know what kind of game that is, i just remember that, until now i still can't find that old game, anyone maybe know ?
and one thing, i don't know if it from the same game or not, but the enemies have level, and different level got different color, that's all i can remember, the enemies is look like alien frog or something like that, and there are sheep
04:31 here in Brazil the meaning of Fodder is *to f__K* . lol. Just a fun fact.
1:41 "Brandon"
Where is might and magic VI, might and magic VII?

You confused Powerslave with Power stone
The games were great and being a kid with a child’s imagination was awesome. I wish I could ho back to the 90’s.
Me too, althugh i was 25 y bac than:))
Gotta miss that feeling of playing a new videogame before you were dead inside.
When everything felt like a real ass new adventure
take me with you, brother
It really annoys me sometimes how we've come so far from a technical point, but atmosphere and creativity has just nose dived, because back then dev's didn't have the tech to just do anything they wanted, they had to be creative to immerse the player and make something fun, these days they just don't seem to try anything new
There is plenty of creativity, it has nothing to do with tools and everything to do with money, and what the suites believe in. They believe in whatever is currently popular and prooven, they are not interested in new thinking unless it has already shown that it can make money. Platform games where shelved for many years, and mostly fps and racing games where pushed in the mainstream, until some indie dev made a great and popular platform game, then everyone made platform games. Then DayZ came, and everyone made survival games, then pubg came on, now everyone is making battle royal games. Look to the Indie scene, and you will see plenty of creativity, even more so then back in the good old days. But yes, those times where magic!
This is due to the culture war. Movies are the same thing and books as well.
Same thought here!! My sons games are so advanced it’s not even fun to play
Yeah it seems like games aren't fun anymore. Like, I just started up a plague tale. And it's really cinematic but it's opening sequences just really boring and dull.
I read this comment that the 90s were full of creativity just as I watch the bit with the 5th Doom clone, a rip-off of Sonic the Hedgehog and the 7th sequel to a long-running series. There were some good games in the 90s, but just as much rubbish as other decades. For me 1986 was the peak of gaming, but that's just my own nostalgic view. 1986 had some stinkers and rip-offs too.
I will agree most modern games suck though. Too much hand-holding and people copying older games. Very little originality. But occasionally someone comes up with something like Katamari Damacy or Shadow of the Colossus, so not all hope is lost.
I love these videos. I was born in the 90s,but "thanks" to having a really bad PC up until late 2000s, I had a pleasure to play a lot of those treasures.
Keep up the good work! You just earned a sub and I just found something to binge watch :D
Always loved Point n Click, mostly from LucasArts
11:23 RIP LucasArts
Supaplex, Cannon Fodder 2, Lost Vikings, X-Com too many to mention - these were the days! Awesome game selection, keep up the good work mate!
I love how some of these games have ambience instead of music
even with music- thats very awesome music, modern stuff dont have!
Thief The Dark project, comes to mind immediately :’)
Man, Delta Force is amazing from 90's
Delta Force was one of my favorite games back then, AoE and Delta Force.
Still cannot find the pc game I'm looking for it's in the back of my minddd
me too
13:44 Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight came out in 1997, not 1998. ;) 1997 might have been the most over-the-top best year for gaming across all platforms - PC and consoles.

Oh BTW, you need to include:
1) Ship Wreckers (Overboard!) - was awesome game of 90's.
2) Atomic Bomberman
3) Serious Sam (Late 90's)?
4) Return to Castle of Wolfenstein (think its late 90's)
thanks for the video.
Watched this a few times.
5 years between raganarok/valhalla and the first unreal... What an unbelievable progress in games engines.
When I want to experience the nostalgia of 90's graphics, I simply remove my glasses while playing my PS4
Laughs in ps6
But you are still playing a shitty PS4 game
Man I got Ps4 and these games sucks.Fallout 2 > F3 > F4 > F76 for example.
😆😆😆
Description
Lemmings was my favorite game to play and Oregon trail
one must fall 2097 and jazz jackrabbit bring back some memories
Apparently 1999 was one of the most amazing years in gaming.
"Age Of Empire: Age Of King's"
Man, me and my dad love that game too
STAR WARS TIE FIGHTER! They're doing all these Star Wars games, come on, bring back Tie Fighter!
Omg I haven’t seen commander keen since I was 4 lolll
Im looking for an old WW2 game. It had a 3rd person view from above, kinda like Syndicate 3:38 but completely horizontal and you could see two edges of the map at once. You just had to collect ammo and shoot the germans. I remember a fully grey city map and that in the menu where you chose the level there was an animation with a helicpter that simulated your charachter in in that screen, like in Mario games when you see Mario run to the level you click in. I algo remember there was a huge swastika in that level selection screen, it was a level. It would be very nice if somehow knew what game Im talking about
Together with the first 100 games this was really a trip down Memory Lane. I played a lot of them, but there were also a lot of them I didn't even know. But then again, in the 90s you played one game from start to finish before playing another one. These days my hard drive is packed with games from all the major gaming platforms, like Steam etc. A gamer for life. Thank you very much for posting this!
Looking for a computer game from the 90's where you solve math problems, then drag race a car. It was the only game allowed in school on the computer.
I would like to say that some games need a real remake ...but if you would put them from 2d to 3d magic would be lost
10:03 You brought back a memory I never thought I had 🥺
some of the best looking game missing like jazz jjack rabbit 2 or Nocturne. when you looking fallout 1 and 2 and mib starting areas so bad not shows how great are there. sega saturn titles on 94 95 def way better than pc which for ex virtua fighter 2 relased on pc 97 and looking better than all fight games on this list. many dos games missing some of the dos games look better than ealry wind titles. and game called outcast missing which was advence many ways.
Hi ! I'm looking for the name of an old game I was playing in the mid 90's. I've looked everywhere and can't find the answer I'm looking for. The game was simple. Four characters at the bottom of the building, the goal was to be the first on top. But objects were falling down, like pianos, fridges, flowers pots... Once on the top, there was a fight to be the last one standing. All characters had different attributes. There was a muscular man who could throw weights, a regular man who could throw pizza slices, there was a pink alien and a blue kangaroo if I remember well. If anyone has any name in mind, don't hesitate, I'm very grateful for any help :) Have a good day and take care.
i will give any one $1 if they can find a game witha water drop that would collect these coins with letters in them. also a game like kid pix but you could use like glowing fire or mages and shit.
Ah the 1998. What a year for gaming. Commandos, Half life, Star craft, Baldurs gate, Grim fandango. Good times..
Jedi knight dark forces 2 and mysteries of the sith were goated. Played them religiously
I remember when I was kid playing MIB, I played with fear lol it was scary in that time
Why is everything like below 30fps and Quake is 60fps
Ah Supaplex, those r the memories : -D
Suggestions... Indycar Racing 1, 2, NASCAR Racing 2, Loadstar, Wingnut, Test Drive 4, 5, Test Drive Off Road 1, 2, 3, Descent 2, Need For Speed 2, 3 and Road Challenge, Bermuda Syndrome Colin McRae, Mobil 1 rally Championship, Time Runners, World Circuit
Dune 2 , Syndicate , Cannon fodder
Makes my eyes sweat.
Quake 3 moves at a pace that even modern shooters don't.. One of the greatest fps games ever made.. If you wanna get good at any fps train on quake 3
One old game I enjoyed was Starwars: Rebellion. You basically had to take over planets and systems, capture or kill the enemy leaders, build defences and shipyards and troop barracks and R&D for newer technologies. I could never finish it though because there was always one planet left and a couple leaders were always there and they had too many planet shields and no matter how much i tried I could never crack them. Even with a massive fleet I couldn't bombard them to take down the shields.
i found a game i have search for 1 year thank so much bro, from chile
those games are really cool
Need help! I cant find a game of a dude with a wheelbarrow, that carries stuff at the end of each level (TV, lamp, WC, etc), I cant remember anything else, pls help
4 of my favorites: Delta Force, Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear and Unreal Tournament.
I've been trying to find (and remember the name) of Supaplex for almost 3 years now! I used to play this game when I was 6-7 years (around 2003) Thank you so much for including it here!!
Yep! I totally forgot about it untill i saw it here. 👏👏👏👏
Do you remember an old strategy game with a race of dinosaurs? We are looking for a game from our childhood and we can't find it... it was an RTS, late 90's, early 2000's, similar to Primitive Wars. In the game you could play as a nation that consisted of dinosaurs, not only humanoids, there were no humans [no riders]. It's not Jurassic Wars, it's not Primitive Wasr, it's not Dawn of War from 1999, it's not Paraworld, it's not Seven Kingdoms, it's not Warlords Battlecry III... maybe you'll remember something?
OMG! Outlaws was so good at that time. I have good memories of it. I have the ISO game, but it won't work on my Win10... ☹️😭😭😭😭😭
Here's my suggestions for another video:
Abrams Tank
Duke Nukem
Jill of the Jungle
Quest for Glory 3
Major Stryker
Epic Pinball
Superfrog
Raptor: Call of the Shadows
Flashback
Tex Murphy: Mean Streets
Terminal Velocity
Big Red Racing
S.P.Q.R.
Screamer 2
Descent 2
Need for Speed II

Extreme Assault
3D Ultra Minigolf
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
Speedboat Attack
Monster Truck Madness 2
Powerslide
Freespace
Frogger: He's Back
Moto Racer 2
Lego Creator
3D Ultra Cool Pool
Pong: The Next Level
Minigolf Master/Minverse
Re-Volt
Duke Nukem 3D is the best game ever made.
You guys missed out Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2!
Curse of Enchantia
I’ve missed Pandora Directive and Black Dahlia.
I'll never forget that Christmas of 1998. I bought Baldur's Gate that Christmas Eve, then got Fallout 2 from my parents on the 25th. That was an amazing time to be a gamer.
Hi I’m looking for a game. See 0:44 it’s like Pac-Man and they have differents world (underwater for example and at the end a boss in Space). Do you know what game it was ? I played in my childhood
Everyone who just randomly remembered the games on your old windows 97'-98 computer and are now stuck in nostalgia computer game video hole Raise your hand pls
