Really enjoyed that, well done. I've a couple of favourite Status Quo songs and looking for covers to show my son who's learning drums, your video will be used for sure. Great 👍👍👍
Thanks for the feedback, Dave. This is not a drumless track, it is the original single version, I just try to copy how John Coghlan plays it. Having said that I am a massive Quo fan and have seen them perform this song live many times.
If you are a beginner drummer I would recommend buying a pair of drusticks and a practice pad first. Chechout this video from Drumeo, com and practice these rudiments for twenty minutes a day and you will be able to play a Rock Groove in next to no time. ruclips.net/video/FWWsLRfsodI/видео.htmlsi=z9Z9DERUak3c-joV
I used my friends studio and Gretch kit, 10" 12" 14" 22", and my own cymbals, Paiste 2002 14" sound edge hi hats, 2002 18 " 20" Crash & 22" Ride. (It is the Ian Paice 40th anniversary cymbal collection).
Those cymbals sound incredibly beautiful ! I know it is the Ian Paice 40th anniversary cymbal collection and I know they come with a price ! By the way ... very good drumming !
Thanks for dropping bye Antonio. I have been using Paiste 2002's for forty years now and I love them. I mainly play Pop/Rock music and these cymbals are crisp and clear, and very powerful, if they are good enough for Ian Paice then that's good enough for me.
Hey,that’s great and very classy, well done.
Johns drumming was never complicated. He just kept the band tight and rocking. You’ve got this beat down perfect. Nice 👍🏻🔥🙏🙏
Thank you wingchun, ever since I bought the Piledriver Album I have been a massive fan of Johns playing, one of my all time favourite drummers.
Drummen is de mensen laten dansen .. dus hoe eenvoudiger hoe sneller de mensen gaan dansen 🤗
My husband is just learning this song and said to say this really helped. Cheers
You have brightened up my day LeAnne, thank you.
Complimenti veramente bravo👍👍
Erano i miei tempi
Love from Italy 💕🇮🇹
Thank you Francesca.
Awesome band, awesome drumming, great sound, I love it, well done. :)
Very nice. John Coghlan was my model as a drummer - this does him proud.
Thank you Grayden, you have made my day. The first time I saw Quo Live John's drumming blew me away, definately one of my drumming heroes.
JOHN was mine as well, what an Engine room he was👌
A Star in every way... Rock on Brian!!!!
you have the swing that it needs! love it!
Отец! Ты просто супер!
Great drumming, but a badass song! I’d never heard of Status Quo or this song. Thank you!
Me neither, im an American drummer in Australia, where they were and are still huge, and every one knows every song
Well done! Love the sound. the recording is top.
No need to destroy the place to be tight and sharp!!!!👏👏👏👏👏
Perfect drumming as far as I'm concerned
Brilliant, love it,keep it up👌
Really enjoyed that, well done. I've a couple of favourite Status Quo songs and looking for covers to show my son who's learning drums, your video will be used for sure. Great 👍👍👍

Awesome pal
Brian This is great!.
Thanks Greg, glad you liked it.
Superb
Oh man....you know how to pick the best songs to play along to. I was playing along to my Quo ''12 Gold Bars'' cd only a few weeks ago.
I am a massive Quo fan, seen them live eight times over the years, John Coghlan really knew how to lay down a Rock Solid Goove.
@@7jimmyjohnstone Yeah John Coghlan was solid & not a show off at all....just rock solid. That's why I love to play along to their songs.
Those 2002s are so crisp
Great Cover. I did the live Version a bit differnt 😜
Nice footwork. Love your drumming!
Albert Hidding Thank you Albert, I appreciate your kind feedback.
Awesome!
(It's lenny at the Nottingham depot😉 )lol
Cheers Lenny, thanks for watching.😀
Nice one Brian , like the double kick type fill at 1:30
wul01 Thanks Steve, the fill is called a Bonham Triplet, so called because it was John Bonham's signature fill with Led Zeppelin.
I knew that. !!!!!
Did you check out my Thin Lizzy video as well ?
Well played you Man😊👍
Up... !!!
Brian !!! .......... buon 2021
Fantastic!.
Thank you Greg.

Thank you Gerry
I am Proud of you Brian !!!!
Paul Lagaaij Thank you Paul, that means a great deal to me coming from a man I respect and admire.
Brilliant job. Trying to learn this myself but the drumless track Im using is rubbish. Can I ask where you got yours?
Thanks for the feedback, Dave. This is not a drumless track, it is the original single version, I just try to copy how John Coghlan plays it. Having said that I am a massive Quo fan and have seen them perform this song live many times.
All I can say then is that you must be spot-on. Can't hear any other drums underneath. Amazing.
You are the master.big time

@@andrewworrall4302
Hi Andrew, my cymbals are the Ian Paice anniversary edition of the Paiste 2002's collection.
@7jimmyjohnstone ahhhh. I should've known. I love their tone. Its hard describe
the higher pitch. Thanks for answering
I've been thinking about getting some drums, how long does it take to get that good?

AKM Drums Thanks for taking the time watch my video, you can't go wrong with a bit of Quo every now and then.

I can get everything down but the bass drum it’s a hard rhythm to learn
I can suggest that you play the bass drum part on it's own until you can do it easily and then bring your hands back in, hope this helps.
Brian Thomson yes I’ll do that it may help a lot it’s such an amazing song
Good an thx 👏🏻👍🏼
muy bueno ✌✌👏👏👌
