We all know that the Disney "crisis" is not based solely on Rachel Zegler. There is a long LIST of movies and attitudes that Disney has produced and shoved down the throats of its audience that the audience doesn't want to swallow OR see in a Disney production. As for RZ, it's just a "bonus" that she's SO easy to be disgusted by and with. She has zero respect for the classic(s) that we the audience love and have handed down through the generations.
To make matters worse (for Disney) we LOVE Bret Cooper and can't wait to see the live action film that she will be starring in. This version of Snow White is going to be amazing. It really is too bad that Disney didn't just make their own movie to tell the story that it wanted to tell and leave history's greatest classics alone.
How were the movies shoved down anyone's throat ? Were people kidnapped, tied up and forced to watch the product ?

The Internet makes it easy to find out information about a product such as a film before going to the theatre. If you're willing to hand out your dough knowing this, then the message isn't shoved down your throat. You essentially paid to listen to said message along with the film.

As a German, who is simply appalled by what Disney is doing to our fairy tale classic, I wish Daily Wire's version the best of luck. Brett Cooper leaves a wholesome, non-toxic first impression.
It's not just Germany. Disney grabs well known and well loved stories from around the world (public domain = free) including classic literature. Dickens, Verne, Hugo, Anderson, Carol, Kipling, Dumas, the list goes on and on. If it is well known, well loved and available, Disney will take it, and use it to try to make a profit. Culture appropriation is such a big thing these days and Disney has been doing it for generations. It's about time people wised up.

I think they mistakenly misread the prompt. Rachel had been cast as the Evil Queen and mistakenly thought she were cast as Snow White, hence the confusion.

Here's my prediction. Disney's Snow White will not be released at all...ever. Disney is currently examining closely what's wrong with the movie and eventually that examination will come around to Rachel Zegler and at that point they will realize there are only two options; replace Rachel Zegler or scrap the whole thing. I think they'll decide to just cut bait.
They should also take a good hard look at the execs who thought this project was a good idea! Maybe RZ and those execs could take an extended leave with that woke exec from Bud light. They can fight among themselves for their next jobs
If Disney didn't title the movie Snow White, it wouldn't have been controversial and less talked negatively. Would it be good? I doubt it. It still would be a cringe movie but at least it won't be facing this much backlash.

Disney is imploding. Im an Ex-Disney Engineer. I Loved Disney, I loved working there. My daughter was a Disney Princess. We literally went several times a year to DW as I worked in DC. And even then spent thousands upon thousands there. No More! They wont change until the stockholders get pissed enough to say stop losing money. Then they will clean house and go back to what we love. You dont mess with American history and expect no back lash.

I subscribed to BentKey and my boys (2 and 5) LOVE it. We don't show them anything nowadays we haven't screened ourselves (for obvious reasons) and it feels so odd to feel we have to protect them from DISNEY, of all things, a company that absolutely made my own childhood. Everything we've seen on BentKey has just been wholesome and fun, reminding me of the stuff I grew up with in the 80s and 90s. Little kids minds are like sponges...they absorb EVERYTHING. It's so refreshing to have newer shows that are completely a-political that I don't have to worry about them watching...as a parent, it's all I wanted.
Even if I was bombarded with Disney, up to picture stills on my walls, I always detested it. I am thankful my folks respected it and instead encouraged me to read. If I ever have a kid, Disney will be forbidden entirely, classic or not.

There are quiet a few stories in the books by brother Grimm. They are public domain, once Snow White (via Bent Key) is a smashing success, I would not be the least bit surprised to see them make several more of the classic films. No one is going to watch Disney anymore. They have had it there own way, they could push out any CRAP they wanted cause they had no competition. If they made good stuff Bent Key would prob never have been created! So Disney made there own problem.

Years ago, I bought all of the original Disney classic cartoons on then-new packaged, licensed VHS cassettes... and boy, oh boy, am I ever glad that I did and have kept them in pristine condition! 😊
I have ebery Disney original VHS videos as my son grew he was introduced to the classics up to Toy Story. I'm glad we saved them for his future children so they can appreciate the original classic Disney movies before the company went broke!
The only problem is that VCR's are becoming obsolete. But I love my collection and am glad I invested in them while some of the Walt Disney heirs were still making decisions and benefitting from that legendary man's legacy.
I have many of the Disney movies on VHS and DVD and I’m going to give them to my Son and DIL for our grandchildren!

Brett Cooper's 'Snow White' teaser gave me chills as she was smiling at her sweet and perhaps a bit mischievous animal helpers in the forest! You can see the loving connection that Brett has with those animals in the forest.
Ziegler just wants to be a star. She makes it all about her, and she clearly lacks both love for and understanding of the original story.
It isn't a crime to want to be a star, but nobody likes someone who thinks that person is the only person that matters in the universe. That's not confidence, that's just being obnoxious.

yes, agree!! IMO,,,, the Sound of Freedom was a great movie & an important wake up call to Society to pay attention!!! IMO, not surprising that Disney & other networks shelved the movie for five years. Hope we don't have to wait too long to see the DW version of Snow White with actress, Brett. I, for sure, WILL NOT watch that Rat-chel Zig-zag in ANY movie!!

As I've said elsewhere, Disney has no one but themselves to blame, as it was Disney that decided to do a DEI version of Snow White while leaving the traditional "lane" wide open for the Daily Wire. Disney will only have a very narrow claim for infringement since their own 1937 film was heavily based on the Brothers Grimm, which is very much in the public domain.

Technically it's a prequel based on a new book that The Hunger Games author wrote and Racgel Zegler's character is supposed to be a girl who gets involved with the young version of president Snow. I think it's supposed to be a story of the first ever Hunger Games but I haven't personally read this prequel book so I could be wrong. But Rachel Zegler is so unlikeable that I probably won't watch the film adaptation either.
It's not Katniss, don't worry. Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel book showing Snow when he was younger, as a mentor the first time mentors were ever used
Zegler could make a good Snow in Hunger Games. An awful person. She wouldn't need to try acting as she's not up to it judging by her movie flops in West side story too.
I do want to see Bentkey's Snow White, but I'm much more interested in The Pendragon Cycle. Never heard about it before I saw their first "behind the scenes" video for it, but it looks right up my alley, and now I'm planning on reading the books. It may not be Lord of the Rings, but it's fantasy and is being made by someone who loved the source material so much that he bought the rights to it and made it one of the first in-house series projects for his company. And even better, it doesn't look like a boring diversity and inclusion clone of every other modern fantasy movie/series.
It's funny how much buzz The Daily Wire is getting without releasing (a) who is/has written the script (b)what the budget is and (c) how they are going to complete this (pre production, production, and post production ) in one year. I know it can be done, and I feel this competition may be the best thing for Disney.
This makes so sooo happy. I knew this woke fever would backfire eventually, leading us back to the best of times, even long before the woke stuff went crazy. I kept saying this is a blessing in disguise. It has to be. There was NO way something so incredibly stupid and shallow could stick. It was a fad, but not just a fad, it was a teacher! I hope we can go back to like 80s-00s era in film and entertainment.. and in society in general!

I believe we’re about two to two and half years away from seeing that full blown return. The studios have to flush their production pipeline of all the woke stuff first. Absolutely great. I rewatch 1960s and 1970s tv shows because they were clean and fun entertainment. How can you destroy the beautiful stories of snow white and Cinderella and dont forget the sleeping beauty . As a child you twirl around the room dancing with your invisible prince. You dress your dolls in whatever you can to make them look like these beautiful legendary characters. Because these stories dont shy away from the ladies vulnerability they birth a beautiful rose not a cactus flower. As you go into puberty you make sure that you take care.of yourself and behave in a sweet innocent way showing purity and goodness despite having to do hard work which is actually good to develop self discipline and self control and also keeps you grounded.
Why strip everything that is good and admirable in a woman. Why rob the ladies of being able to be soft and kind. Unlike some of the cold, hard domineering examples that Woke wants women to be why not be a gentle living woman who your children can cuddle up to and can welcome her husband home and make him comfortable after a stressful day
