Something I’ve been loving about this dlc how so many elements of it seem to call back to dark souls and bloodborne. Not in an overt way just in little ways that make it feel cool for people that played those games Still loving the play through! 💚
About Horsent invading you, it probably has to do something with you summoning him to help you with Mesmer. I am guessing he got taste of blood. I did not summon him and I got completely different dialogue and he did not invade. As for the damn map in the ancient ruins, you were not alone there, I was running around for hours before breaking and looking it up 😅 Oh and the shaman village has one more item you missed. In video you literally run past it, if you want. 🤣
Those 55:51 huge falling spike traps feel so much like the fully realized versions of the ones in the Shadow Temple in Ocarina of Time! How incredible would a FromSoft gritty reimagining of something like Majora’s Mask be??!!

Oh it's time for the Finger boss! Haha this fight is... something. I do like the Staff you can get from her Remembrance, even though it has kinda bad scaling compared to the base game staves, but it doubles down as a seal to cast incantations, and that makes it so much easier for me lol (I'm doing a Int+Faith caster build, keeping on switching the catalyst between a staff and a seal annoys me, ESPECIALLY when I'm trying to cast one type of magic but I've forgotten to change it to the correct one)
I started out thinking those Spider Scorpions were freaky as heck. Now I think they’re kinda cute. The big ones snap at you with their claws and it makes a really cute clicking noise. lol
From the pot elevator from previous video You can go further up when you go down then get back on the pot again and find an armour i think.. check out if you haven't
My favourite boss in the DLC is the Romina saint of the bud boss, mainly because her boss fight is sooooo pretty! She gives off of a Aldrich/quelaag vibes

OMG, I am finally up to date on these videos. I have literally been watching them all day. It's so nice that you and Sean can talk about the game and he can give you some tips. Also, what happened to your ability where your magic would hear up once it reached a low level instead of you having to use the flasks? You mentioned in the last video you had one for your health as well.

So, I'm posting it again to hopefully get the advice to be seen. Edit 2: Lots of people on the St. Trina video also posted advice related to St Trina herself. So, it is probably worth going back to that video as well to look at that new advice.

Just when you think Elden Ring can't throw something weirder your way, suddenly Metyr appears :p The bosses in this episode were wonderfully bizarre to say the least, and I'm genuinely sad at the prospect that the DLC is nearly over. I'm sure it's been said multiple times before, but I do hope you know how much I personally appreciate this more careful and exploratory approach you have with From Soft titles Gab. It's remarkably difficult to find content creators who just want to appreciate and enjoy this game without feeling to need to prove themselves against other people's silly and arbitrary standards, with their made-up rules and "correct" way of playing a game that clearly designed to played in many different ways and at an individual pace. You have far more respect for the Herculean efforts that went into developing Elden Ring than all of these online keyboard warriors competing in a giant pissing contest few asked for.
About the invasion from the Hornsent, I think the biggest flaw of the DLC story is that you don't realize until the very end that you're actually trying to stop Miquella for some reason. The game doesn't let you make that choice OR even make it clear to you and it feels really strange. So when you're heading to the rot boss where afterwards you'll burn the tree to get to Miquella, I think the Hornsent invades you to stop you because he's still in favor of Miquella's plan.

Must have killed her at least 20 times, but still don't fully understand how the giant spinny double laser show works... you know, the one Gab totally DPSes past here...

I know it's her style of play but it kinda urks me when she keeps wasting magic when she is literally standing next to the boss with a sword and can just 1 hit the darn things 😅

You missed an opportunity to find an alter to transform that stone sheathed sword you have in Fog Rift Catacombs. You can ride one spike trap up
The Staff of the Great Beyond lets you cast both Sorceries and Incantations.
Best thing in the expansion imo. No more staring at your seal or staff because you used the wrong type of spell.

But also remember, if you are playing a BONK build the sword deals strike damage! I personally won't be upgrading mine until I acquire my third+.
