I live here in Auckland now but used to work at a sound studio in London called Magmasters, Miriam used to come in to do awesome voiceovers for films and commercials. Everyone loved her and looked forward to her grand entrance. She's awesome! She had the best potty mouth, which gave us immense joy and laughter. She's an amazing, talented actress with a great sense of humor. It's been really lovely to see her do so well and be so loved around the world. She's brilliant 😁

I saw Miriam in 'Dickens Women', a one woman show in Hamilton, NZ years ago. Has she forgotten? She was incredible! Switched between characters and accents like lightning. Utterly captivating brilliance, causing you to drop into sympathy with each character as well. I had never seem live acting like it!

Her and Barry Humfrey very similar in style , skill and artistic ability . (That was before he took on the dame Edna persona road ) . Watched him for 3 hours in Melbourne switch from one subject or character to the next , had us totally captivated just like Miriam who can hypnotise an audience with her brilliance . Barry is now gone (but never forgotten ) , may we treasure her while she is still with us. I’m 80 so no disrespect meant re your age Miriam .

The Rangatira (Chiefs) only agreed for the colonisers to govern their own unruly visitors who were breaching and transgressing all manner of Māori lore (laws). They had become a major problem, but the Chiefs NEVER CEDED THEIR SOVEREIGNTY OVER AOTEROA NZ LANDS. Bearing in mind at that time, for every Pākehā settler there were 10,000 Māori and so it is highly improbable that Māori would GIVE OVER ALL GOVERNORSHIP to people they outnumbered by so many. It's illogical, but that is typical of coloniser history.

Never start a program like this in a different country like this program. You are not in the middle east, Russia, China, North Korea. This australia and NZ. You are not going to be slaughtered by starting your program in the country you are visiting. However you are disrespecting that country by engaging another country first. Appalling! Someone like you, editors and producers should know this and all of you come off inconsiderate and have poor judgement. Do your homework better in future.

1500 is huge when you think of Nz's population boom since 2012. Let alone just the population concentration in itself. Please bring less immigrants so we can bring more refugees which to me are different things.
