@TR 42 Scandinavias joined the Hunnic armies during the migration era so she wouldn't have to be mongol or turk to be a horse archer. Besides, the early indo-europeans were all nomadic horse archers, and scandinavians hold the most of the their DNA today. Turks and Mongols of later ages took it after them.
It's hard not to be amazed by how incredibly level horseback archers keep their upper body in order to make the accurate shots they do. That must take huge levels of fine motor control and core strength to do!
why does horse archery look so sublime? such poise, composure, speed, accuracy ...... how terrifying yet beautiful it would have felt to see a mongol army in full action!
Amazing, fucking amazing. Never seen something so beautiful and deadly at the same time. The simulated fight between you and the other rider was incrediable. Would like to see more of that.
The amount of skill and the bond between horse and rider is awesome. And not even looked at the archery!! How much effort and years of practise is that? 😂 Chengis would even be raise an eyebrow in suprise I think
Yes she did. He must be especially skilled with that shield to do that intentionally. He might only do that with the Horse Archers that are skilled enough, to aim high enough to well clear the Horse's head. Fine work and showmanship.
I was a teenager back in the sixties who was horseback more than afoot, and I loved instinctive recurve bow shooting. When I tried to combine them, I was ridiculed beyond belief. This was in the western US. I had a wee chestnut mare who had the smoothest gallop, you could drink from a glass. I have to be satisfied with watching these youngsters.
Thanks for the totally cool videos. I'm really impressed. :-) I think someone could make a Hollywood type movie with horseback archery as a theme. It could really fun.
Yeah this can totally be another game people play against each other where the arrow tips are made obviously in a way that doesnt penetrate, but can still fly pretty well and fast, man i tell you, there are so many games we can all play with each other and the ideas just dont stop flowing.
Mount & Blade Bannerlord is looking really good!
You commented before me hahaha
I laughed so hard when I saw this.
😂😂
But sadly there's only Mediterranean draw.

She shoot arrow on horseback
Woww she does not move on that horse! Smoothest cantering ive seen
For a Classicist with an interest in Achaemenid military capabilities, this video brings a touch of reality to academic concepts. Outstanding.
Achaemenid Persians didn't have stirrups.
@@nampham162They were literally one of the first ones to use stirrups.
