Honestly it’s raised more poignant questions and hypothetical scenarios about an America where the ultimate attack came from within more than any other network backed show IMO that’s ever existed, it got too real for the establishment, anything remotely like this was most likely war gamed around a conference table in some boring government office in the DC area with scenarios and generic inputs being read off scripts by schlubs sipping on Coke and eating Jimmy Johns no thought of average Americans lives and how something like this would wipe out both millions and traumatize millions more, it would be clean and bureaucratic and remote enough in the governments minds to be pure fantasy. This series was very realistic in many aspects, it touched on average Americans and what they may do or have to to them by the government (even if by rogue elements) and it scared the hell out of the Establishment Elite, imagine an entire Season depicting a Second Civil War, it would’ve raised very profound questions I’m sure about personal liberties and government and corporate interconnection that no one on high wanted the general population asking each other

Wouldn’t that mean shows like The Last Ship or Revolution should’ve also gotten cut short? I know Revolution was intended to have 3 seasons or so but they still got 2 solid seasons in (a better fate than Jericho).

I hate CBS, NBC, ABC, Sci-Fi, and all the other networks. Here was one of the best shows on television. The cast was second to none. The showrunner's writing was topnotch. I have watched this show three times in a row on Netflix and it never gets old or boring. What I love about this show is its cast of characters. My favorite power couple Stanly and Mimi. They crack me up. (A case of polar opposites that really do attract.) More than any it is greed that kills a perfectly well-written show. I was so glad that Amazon picked up The Expanse because Sci-Fi is asinine.

The show is quite accurate regarding prepping and improvising, they could have tried listening to AM or FM radio in their cars to find out what was going on the hours after the initial attack. AM signals can travel about 500 miles at night due to ionospheric skip, they could have turned in to clear channel stations from Texas, Nebraska and other cities to get more information. Also the shortwave requires an extensive antenna system to get good reception. Also, after EMP, the show didn't make it clear where people got their water from, how their toilets worked or didn't work and of course what they did without toilet paper.

Considerable amounts of US military/civilian aircraft and tech would have been outside CONUS when the bombs went off. Of course the various governments would have had first pick of it as it was brought back, so not too implausible in my opinion.

Nope, F-15s (and most other modern fighters) have TWS, "Track-While-Scan" enabled-radars (APG-63 and/or APG-70 in case of the F-15) that can scan for targets while they track a number of other targets.

I hate CBS, NBC, ABC, Sci-Fi, and all the other networks. Here was one of the best shows on television. The cast was second to none. The showrunner's writing was topnotch. I have watched this show three times in a row on Netflix and it never gets old or boring. What I love about this show is its cast of characters. My favorite power couple Stanly and Mimi. They crack me up. (A case of polar opposites that really do attract.) More than any it is greed that kills a perfectly well-written show. I was so glad that Amazon picked up The Expanse because Sci-Fi is asinine.

The show is quite accurate regarding prepping and improvising, they could have tried listening to AM or FM radio in their cars to find out what was going on the hours after the initial attack.
AM signals can travel about 500 miles at night due to ionospheric skip, they could have turned in to clear channel stations from Texas, Nebraska and other cities to get more information.
Also the shortwave requires an extensive antenna system to get good reception.
Also, after EMP, the show didn't make it clear where people got their water from, how their toilets worked or didn't work and of course what they did without toilet paper.
It's more than 500mi at night... used to pick up Chicago AM from Louisiana... back in the Art Bell days.

It hit too close to home for the American Establishment, it raised questions about serious topics like the usage of Private Military Contractors in both the battlefield and particularly on American soil if a National Security Emergency like what happened in Jericho were to take place, it brought up excellent questions about using Corporations with ties to Politicians who co incidentally used to be employees of said Corporations (Think Halliburton which Dick Cheney used to be the head of prior to becoming Vice President getting no bid contracts in the Billions to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan and remember in Jericho President Tomarchio of the Allied States had been the one of the youngest Senators in American history who just had also happened to be a top executive at Jennings And Rall before he became a Senator). It touched on at its abrupt end an impending Civil War between the USA and ASA with The Texas Republic expected to partner with or more likely rejoin the USA to fight against the ASA.
Honestly it’s raised more poignant questions and hypothetical scenarios about an America where the ultimate attack came from within more than any other network backed show IMO that’s ever existed, it got too real for the establishment, anything remotely like this was most likely war gamed around a conference table in some boring government office in the DC area with scenarios and generic inputs being read off scripts by schlubs sipping on Coke and eating Jimmy Johns no thought of average Americans lives and how something like this would wipe out both millions and traumatize millions more, it would be clean and bureaucratic and remote enough in the governments minds to be pure fantasy. This series was very realistic in many aspects, it touched on average Americans and what they may do or have to to them by the government (even if by rogue elements) and it scared the hell out of the Establishment Elite, imagine an entire Season depicting a Second Civil War, it would’ve raised very profound questions I’m sure about personal liberties and government and corporate interconnection that no one on high wanted the general population asking each other

I got some good news the series continues in comics with seasons 3,4 and with a season 5 coming out. I don't know when.
I like how 6 random people couldn't wait to claim the presidency but the Texans still call their leader the Governor and their air force the Texas Air National Guard, even though they are the most equipped and qualified to be a stand-alone nation (even in reality).
A civil war is just a golden ticket for Texas to become independent again. But right now, Texas would likely take a ton of Plains, Bayou and even parts of North Mexico with it.
