Fittings 101: Identifying Fittings in 90 Seconds

In this video, we cover the basic steps of thread identification, the tools required and the Brennan thread ID guide and Thread ID kit.
Identifying fittings can be difficult, but it can be made easy with three steps and three different tools. Some of the tools you’ll need are an outside/inside diameter caliper, a thread gauge, and a seat angle gauge. If you want extra security and guidance, you can look to a thread ID guide as well. You’ll want to make sure you measure your thread diameter, measure your thread per inch and measure your seat angle. If you do all of those steps, identifying your fitting shouldn’t be too difficult.
