    just wanted u to know that these tutorials are super helpful and i know they dont blow up cus this is a kinda specific technology...but u are great at explaining things and i think if you made more content and maybe more sought after skills that you can definetely get a bunch of views

    It's a bit of a topic change from what you did before but I definitely think there's a significantly underserved market for intermediate programming videos. I think you'll find your audience with enough time.

      I'm glad to hear you think so. That typing effect is a PyCharm plugin called Power Mode II.

    Good stuff! Have you considered doing an intermediate python course on something like Udemy? There's a dearth of intermediate/advanced courses there. I started learning programming there, but have had to turn to RUclips for intermediate/advanced tutorials

    • @Emily_Entropy
      @Emily_Entropy  3 года назад

      Resources like Udemy are tricky. Unfortunately I feel like a lot of people have abused the service, so I don't want to be associated with it. There have been too many instances of plagiarism that they have willfully ignored. This includes plagiarism against RUclips channels that are 100x the size of mine. If Udemy is going to blindly allow that sort of shit when it is done to big guys, then I don't think I even have a chance.

    Still as confused as looking at the docs :(
    No explanation as to what run_until_complete() and run_forever() do

    • @Emily_Entropy
      @Emily_Entropy  4 года назад +1

      Sorry. I do try to get further into that in the subsequent videos. You can stuff tasks into the Event Loop, but you then need to start it. If you have a single task, or a specific important task among other tasks, you would want to run the event loop until_complete. It will then stop once that task or list of tasks is finished. If you tell it to run_forever you're saying that it should just keep the event loop spinning, even when the tasks inside of it are completed. Use this if you plan to add future tasks to the loop.

    to get the correct ip linking you to external network, maybe you should try to run a bash command from python by: 'curl ipinfo.io/ip'

    Your videos are not hitting many views because they are not easy to watch, the enthusiasm and explanation is great, but the letters and text you are typing are impossible to see on my laptop. And then when I try to use my phone. well.....

      Did you try changing resolutions? It might default to something silly because of the way I edited this video.

    Seems programming topic is overrated as a whole when most viewers come to RUclips for entertainment. However, I have seen really popular Programming videos on youtube usually entail other popular topics particularly along the lines of finance, cryptos, or stocks…

    Hello! so many thanks for your video! Very hard to find outhere precisely what I needed.
    One question, what socket families, like "socket.AF_INET", should I use if I want to get the IP connecting my LAN ethernet cable. Let's say I have a raspberry pi on the other side.
    Thanks a lot!
