As a player just looking to get started in this game, this video was very helpful in letting me know what to look out for. Unlike a lot of other Ark content I have seen, you didn't assume that I already knew everything you were talking about, either.
Mostly agree with your takes, chief, although Troodon scout ability (most ppl don't even know about this) isnt useless on PVE. Also, Ichthyornis is THE ONLY way to tame otters with high effectiveness. Finally, Oviraptor in C tier is kinda bizarre seeing as they unlock 24/7 breeding in a way nothing else does.
Still considering the cost of taming the troodon, i would still put it in D tier. Although they can be now tamed through the wild babies mechanic. C tier isn't actually a bad tier, it's more for specialized creatures, that have one purpose only.
@@SpartacusSurvives Oviraptor should def be in a minimum of A, you can just leave them in the middle of a bunch of breeding dino's and they collect all the eggs for you is an insanley useful ability
@@Sunrisen145 oviraptor can't be replaced anky can be replaced there are alternatives like mantis, magmasaur, Tek strider, dunkleosteus. Oviraptor in c is completely unjustified
Generally agree with the list. I think Bear, Basilio and Procoptodon should be top of A tier since their specific niche as high end travel mounts plus all have good resource gathering (bear gets fiber, honey, berries and hide while Basilio gets oil, meat and black pearls, and procoptodon gets good berries plus imprint buff). Also I do think that because Rex is a better boss fighting Dino than spino it should be in S tier. Finally I’m biased towards Tapejara cause it’s a great middle ground between speed and weight+stam. The dung beetle being s tier also isn’t really fair considering that fertilizer and oil are easily replaced (also considering where dung beetle spawns it’s harder to get early game)
Slept on Dunka. There are a lot of underwater metal nodes. Also it gather oil and crystal, obsidian and stone. It is the best all around resource dinos for the water
@@SpartacusSurvives hard underwater cave or easy under water cave, if you are capable of using bassilosaurus and get yourself into the back end of hard underwater cave there’s enough metal nodes that you could live inside that cave effectively, just need turrets for wild eels and your golden 😉 it’s hard to do but once you succeed you’ll have a strong position to farm metal en masse
I agree with you on the Purlovia I love the creature but it really misses out because it has no saddle. We should be able to ride them... LIKE THE NEW LEGION DOES IN THE ARK ANIME! Pteranodon should be in A tier. Ptera is not better than an Argent for one unless you go back to year 1 pre nerf, also in your vid you straight up say Tapejara is an upgrade to Ptera but put Tape lower because its rare and harder to tame so you probably should have bumped Ptera down to A when you said that. I'd personally have Chalico on top of B tier and Arthro a little higher in C though because Arhtro can damage metal and TEk structures and the Chalicotherium can beat all the islands bosses on Alpha pretty easily (with 40 mutations you can get them to 23k hp and 1200% melee, add a 124 armour saddle and some veggie cakes and they destroy the island bosses). Chalicotherium can also damage stone structures and do heavy damage with their rockthrow in pvp, meaning you can breed just one creature for both PvE and PvP on the island... the only thing I feel holds it back from A tier is you NEED the mutations to do bosses. Overall Awesome tier list, I found myself agreeing with pretty much everything you said, keep up the good work mate.
Your points are more definitely good, but from a PVP point of view. Except for the tape thing. Yes, i said the tape is a better version, but I also take in into consideration how hard it is to tame/find those dinos.
@@SpartacusSurvives that's fair. I played mostly single player in ASE but now I play something of a mix between PvP and PvE with my friends in ASA. Technically it is small tribe PvP (3 tribes of 2) but I spend a bit of time helping out my less experienced friends through alliances because they don't have as much time to play. (Or we just hang out in the Casino mod drinking Beer Jars 😆)
spino cannot be higher than rex rn in ASA. its bugged/nerfed when ur riding a tamed spino, its bipedal attack speed is much slower than before. its dps isnt as high as it was in ASE. u can argue normally in ASE spinos are better than rexes cuz of the DPS factor but with main DPS factor bugged or nerfed from the spinos kit, i dont think it is rn
I don't see a point in Theri they have crap stats compared to the Meglo. Theri are not even a top 5 boss dino and lack enough weight to make gathering on them ever worth doing so.... I don't really understand why anyone except bobs who never want to leave the southern beach would ever tame one.
I remember playing on Scorched earth my biggest pain wasnt raptors nor carnos nor direwolfs it was accteullt the daedon they are pretty much a weaker much faster and mobile rex ps why is the dodo not top of S tier

I will always refer to the Argy as the "Flying pickup truck" of Ark cause there's about a million things it can do and it's good at all of them

Where have you found metal in ASA ocean? When i did my ocean tames video i searched the western and nothern coast a lot and found none.
If you attack the corral at the ocean floor, it harvests metal as well as stone.

It’s fairly biased. Dont care for either, in fact spinos design is cooler to me but they’re 100% not better/more valuable than a having a Rex.
