For no. 6 X²+5x+6=0 (X+3) (x+2) since the two factors of 6 are 3 and 2 in which if you sum up this two the answer would be positive 5. X+3=0 x+2=0 X=-3 x-2(these are the roots of the equation) .. Cause if you transpose positive 3 and positive 2 of course the answer would be negative.

Am finding solving quadratic equations quite complicated & confusing. Need more explanation specially on why there's factoring of x & y when there's no variable y in the equation.
