(X+3) (x+2) since the two factors of 6 are 3 and 2 in which if you sum up this two the answer would be positive 5.
X+3=0 x+2=0
X=-3 x-2(these are the roots of the equation) .. Cause if you transpose positive 3 and positive 2 of course the answer would be negative.

Substitute the value of x to given and you will see it upon substituting it.
Example:
x²+10x+25=0
(x+5)²=0 or (x+5)(x+5)=0
x=-5
Checking:
x²+10x+25=0
(-5)²+10(-5)+25=0
25-50+25=0
-25+25=0
0=0

Sir, the answer in #4 is correct but I doubt with your computation, as far as I remember we cannot just disregard that 3 in the equation. Its better to show that 3x² - 75 is equal to (3x - 15)(x + 5) = 0. In this factor we can show the proper computation.

Am finding solving quadratic equations quite complicated & confusing. Need more explanation specially on why there's factoring of x & y when there's no variable y in the equation. Also, what happened to the 3 in one equation. Lastly, why & what is the reason behind doing all these? Hope you can help in a way to clear things out. Thanks!
@Ninong Ed. The 3 in one equation is the same as 5x3=15 , 3x=15, x=5
the x & y in there is a formula so that it will be easy for you to solve and understand the equation as you can see the square root of 49 is 7 so he will follow the formula (x +7) (x - 7) = 0 .The y in the formula is 7
The x & y and all the other variables represents the unknowns or the blanks in all our computations.. Example: if I buy an item for P25 and my money is P100 how much is my change? , how will my equation looks like. This is the equation: :x=P100-P25 therefore x=P75

In this case you would use a process called: 'Completing the Square'.
It’s easy Q6 answer is x=-3 and x=-2
x2+5x+6=0
(x+3)(x+2)=0
x+3=0 , x+2=0
x=-3 , x=-2
This is the answer.

No, I think you should write that : x.x - 5.x = 0 / x ( x - 5 ) = 0 / x = 0 or x - 5 = 0 / x = 0 or x = 5 ......the problem is the way for students can learn easily.
