- Welcome to my Path To Platinum series! Today I'll be covering Dark Souls: Remastered. We'll be taking an In-Depth look at the requirements for Platinuming this game and how best to bring that goal into fruition! Honestly best guide ever
As someone who "religiously" used this wonderful as a guide throughout my trophy hunting, I would like anyone else whose still attempting this to check the reminders below as this will ensure that you get the trophies you need ASAP, (these weren't mentioned or was not said specifically in the video hope it helps!)
1. Almost all of the NPC dialogues will require you to say YES, except, Patches and Laurentius, if you want him to be a merchant in Firelink, do not say yes if he asks you if you're a cleric, this will cause him to be hostile and that's the end of his Quest there.
2. Killing an NPC and using Oswald will not revive NPCs, also, for Sidequest specific scenarios, if an NPC turns hollow, you cannot reverse that with Oswald as well.
3. With that being said, DO NOT KILL ENGYI, he looks just like the Eggheads. A lot of players has killed the old man on their first playthrough sadly :(
4. Avoiding spoilers here but once you killed the centipede with Solaire, do not immediately go past the bonfire and go to the lava place (Lost Izalith) instead, once you see Solaire sitting near the bonfire, attack him, seriously just make him aggro you, don't kill him, just attack until he becomes hostile and leave him. Finish the entirety of Lost Izalith and after that, use Oswald to absolve your sins. There's another method for this but this is easier and less hustle. Oh btw, kill the Chaos bug, before absolving your sins.
5. Tomb of Giants, there are 2 lanterns you can use for this area, I recommend going to this place AFTER getting said lantern, either the skull one or the one you get from the Chaos bug.
6. oh Laurentius the Pyromancer, there's a point in the game where he'll ask you where you got a specific spell, do not tell him or else, he'll eventually go hollow and if you haven't upgraded your pyromancy, there is no other way to do so, Engyi would be the alternative, given that you didn't murder the old bag.
7. Somewhat a problem I encountered due to the community being half-dead (No one is summoning me anymore). At the beginning of the game, if you're playing offline, get your faith to 25, better yet pick a class that has a high faith and level it to 25, this will help you with joining the Sunlight covenant if you can't go co-op. it's gonna suck but you wouldn't like to do this when you are at a high level, it takes too long so might as well do it early.
8. For the Channeler's trident, there's actually an early Channeler near Undead Parish, you can save-scum kill and reload until it drops the trident, it doesn't respawn so this is the earliest you can get this. Simply kill all the hollows first, leave it the only thing alive then upload your save file to a flash disk or Cloud.
9. Speaking of save-scum, you can also do this with the Trophies involving or needing the player to upgrade a weapon to +15, simply upload your save file again and upgrade a specific weapon, after the trophy pops up, you can reload your save file and do it for your other weapons. This will only work for the upgrade trophies.
10. Lastly, if you're like me, who doesn't use walkthroughs or guides for the first playthrough, it is fine to go blind the first time, there are things you can re-do the 2nd or the 3rd playthrough, remember, it takes 2.5 playthroughs in total to get the Platinum. Plus the game is so fun I wouldn't min playing for the 4th time lmao.
That's it, hope it helps! some of these I posted because I fucked it up and wanted others to NOT make the same mistake.

46:18 a little side note I would highly recommend buying the crest as it opens a farming spot of 7k souls every 30 seconds so it is extremely worth it
But a souls douping glitch still works so that may not be necessary.

There’s a huge soul glitch on the remastered edition just if you want to make the game easier

@@AlanPayne. kinda exaggerated it’s my second run, I’m trying to get the platinum. Tbh it’s just a skill issue I’m used to bosses being the harder part of a game not swarms of enemies stun locking me to death. I heard ds2 was more brutal with the amount of random enemies
@@Jaden.CMeguinis having 99 of any stat isn't a good idea as after level 50 of any stat leveling barely makes a difference

Love it! Pro Tip: start as a pyro. A little later I see you leveling up at Firelink with 8 att. 9 faith and 11 res. In other words... You started with the warrior class 🤔🤗

finally got my 100% achievements on steam, took my around 70 hours and this video was a lot of help.
43:10 - actually, Gwyn probably didnt know about his existence. Gwyndolin was born of an affair with another woman (which was not Gwyn's wife), and she got pregnant most likely around the time Gwyn went to war with the Izalith demons. When he came home, Gwyndolin stayed hidden cause he thought his father would be ashamed of his frail appearance, and he remained so until Gwyn went to the Kiln to link the fire. So, yeah, he didnt even knew about his younger son, lel
thanks for the video man. This is the best way of doing a trophy guide in my opinion. One thing that could make it even better is to include all the material we need for the reinforcements trophy and all the material for the knights honour... So like we know when to stop farming those before going for the trophies...

If you use the Firelink-Keepersoul the Shrine will stay dark, it is unique with unique description and your only chance to resurrect her.

Thanks for the guide! It helped me with my platinum which I almost have (NG+ Anor Londo right now).
I also want to leave this message for everyone struggling with getting the platinum offline as I was/am:
1) For Knight's Honor you also need Demon Spear which you need to farm from those flying lighting using monstrosities in Anor Londo and I'm not sure if this is important but Anor Londo has to be sunlit so don't shoot Gwynevere to destroy the illusion (killing Gwyndolin doesn't affect the illusion). I'm not sure if you really need this weapon but I've seen it in guides for this trophy and I don't remember seeing this in this video so I'm just saying.
2) In Anor Londo after the archers opposite of the bonfire room with Solaire is a chest with 3 Sunlight Medals so with 1 from Lautrec gives you 4 per playthrough.
3) If you want you can also farm medals on those bugs which are together with the one giving you the Sunlight Maggot.
4) 25 faith is achievable if you start the game as a cleric because to get 25 faith for the covenant and 10 intelligence for Griggs you use only 13 level ups which is the lowest amount among all character classes.
5) Watch out for guaranteed drops from NPCs like the Chaos Sister in Lost Izalith because if you kill her and she kills you at the same moment the item she drops is lost and your next chance is in another playthrough.

Finally getting the last dark souls plat.l this year.
Great video! The only thing that was a bit unclear is the order in which you have to do "The Abyss", since you do need to kill Sif for the ring before heading to new Londo ruins (4Kings) to place the Lordvessel. I was heading to Nito but I found the yellow fog wall waiting for me cause I hadn't done new Londo yet hehe. Still, thanks a lot for the video, Im using it every day on my way to get the platinum!

Quick note, if you're farming for the "souvenirs of reprisal" using tge offline method, then for God's sake put on the "Covetous Silver Serpent Ring". Makes the grind way more bearable.

Thank you for this guide. Been following it on a fresh savefile for the past month or so just to get the final few achievements (mostly the miracles/sorceries/pyromancies/weapons) I still needed to get after my first run of the game.
Though worth mentioning two of the Sif weapons share the same name and had I not backed up my saves (played the Steam version), I'd have to move on to NG+++ to try again. Guess that was my bad for crossing off the wrong one in my spreadsheet.
Clean and nice guide though. Easy to follow, and my headaches mostly came from a handful of the NG+ bosses.

39:41 watch out for this, patches appears in Firelink Shrine AFTER u kill Nito, so u will have to put on your lucky ring and go farm those ugly things in Depths for few eyes as said in videos
ALSO: do the Sunlight Covenant as your last (meaning rank up this covenant after joining other covenants) so that you dont have to farm them on NG+, if you join the a covenant you will get punished thus making it unnecessarily grindier

Honestly the knights honour trophy or whatever it’s called is really my only trophy left but I never bothered to do it. Mostly because I had put no effort prior to knowing of its existence in counting which special weapon I had acquired and on what character

I just completed this guide on PC. It took me 53 hours which is about 5 times faster than it would've took with any other guide.

coming here to make my ng+1 as achievement laden as i could, got to the part where you said you weren't sure if using firelink keepers soul renders her permanently dead. It does, and my first playthrough ended up with a desolate lonely firelink. Shit only siegmeyer was there at one point

nope, it's an optional area technically so it wont lock you out of anything

Actually there is one reason not to take the master key and that's if you start as the thief class you automatically start with the master key therefore rendering it a useless starting gift for that class lol and black fireworks are good for cheesing asylum demon in like 2 seconds.
