Great work. You've described 12-step commutation, which is mostly done in FOC mode of control, i.e if at least 2 phase currents are measured in scheme, but, more often it's just 6-step block commutated sensorless drive based on zero crossing detection of Back EMF from motor. ..and by the way, if fore mentioned resistor is damaged there's great probability that an MCU is also damaged..so almost impossible for most people to repair (exception would be an authorized service which has replacement MCU and it's firmware and loader).
it is 6 signal combination to create 3 phase. this SMD resistor damages most of time, if IPM damages, in some cases the reverse flow causes to damage IPM, and most of the times these resistors protect the MCU

I hope someday you show a video of this in the circuit with the outdoor compressor unit while it's running and a scope hooked up. If you ever work on one of them. I don't know how practical a video would be with the distance of the board and condenser unit being too far apart, to cumbersome to set up, too dangerous or simply too noisy to make a practical video, but I'd like to see all of this in action. Awesome series anyway! Thanks for taking the time to explain this in such great detail.

You didn't show the freewheeling diodes in the diagram. They are needed for the transient process when current passes from one transistor to another. Or are such diodes not needed?

Sir, Basically i am a technician. This video is specially help me alot to learn. Sir i have doubt from longtime, which is. Ac single phase rectify in dc voltage, then it will entering into IPM. So as you said in video the six low/high IGBT's are doing the work to produce the magnetic. So here the dc voltage only entering into compressor. Somebody say that IPM convert the DC backinto AC. Is this this true? If yes how its possible. Please give me some solution sir. Thank you.
