i lived in big sur and booked a room at Deetjens for my parents who we're visiting. The room was filled with books and personal items belonging to a previous renter with very unusual taste. It also had spider webs on the ceiling and in the corners. My parents, having only stayed in upscale hotels, complained and we're told they didn't have to pay extra it was all included.Very quaint i loved it.
    (it was around 1980.)

I stumbled upon your beautiful home movie this morning as I sat down to edit the 5th installment in my children's book series, The Peppermints. The title of the latest book is Big Sur and is about the Peppermint family getting their first dog.
Taking place in the early to mid 1950's, The Peppermints provide nostalgia and enjoyment for Grandparents, and Parents, while lending a unique experience of a time gone by for younger readers. The Peppermints creates a new category of Vintage Modern. Check out NikkiMaloney.com for more titles if you're interested and Stay Minty!!
