- So it's that Time of Year, I have to Grade my Hives to find out what ones I am going to take into Winter. This Season has gone well so far so I expect them to generally score well. Not sure if it's how others do it, bu this time of year I am looking at brood patterns, amount of brood, amount of food, amount of bees and amount of remaining open space. I was also looking at bees them selves, I am seeing more younger bees and none of the "bee" diseases. So everything is looking good this year, they should be set up well for Winter.
