Hi there! Ive got a Marantz Nr1711 which has pre out for front speakers, would I be able to connect the C700 as my amp? And would it have HT bypass then? Maybe id be able to use it to offload the slimline Marantz if I would go 5.1? Thanks alot
It really only matters for certain when bi-amping. Otherwise you at least need some specific cable in which there are appreciable differences in the "bass" wire and "treble" wire. Such as gauge, conductor material, and geometry, not so much with what I had here.
I'm not actually interested in streaming services, but I would like to play all the flacs I have on a USB hard drive from all the CDs I've ripped. I also don't like smart phones, so would it be feasible to play and explore these files on the screen on the streamer rather than on a phone or tablet?
Not on the C700, the screen is useful but it is not something I'd want to use as a primary control. We are picking up a new product soon though that I think would do what you want nicely. I'll share more once I can.
Yeah it has the cool meters. It has a screen, pre out, coaxial input, optical input, and 2 analog RCA inputs. Seems worth it to me because I want something that I can connect my turntable and CD player to. If you just listen to music through streaming then I’d say the Powernode is fine.
Thanks so much for a great video! Sorry about being late to viewing this video. Does NAD in the C700 or M10, or any other models show you the resolution (bit rate/ Sampling frequency) as the the track is playing? This may seem a bit picky, but I do like to know what resolution the music is being streamed at? Thank you.
Hi Sir I am interested with the NAD C700 Steaming Audio Player for this Nad if I connect with Kef wireless Speaker which Kef Wireless speaker can you suggest and recommended thank for yr feedback,
So you wouldn't use the C700 with "wireless" speakers as they do not require a separate amp. I'd recommend something like Sonus Faber Luminas or Totem Acoustic Skys to pair with it.
@@GramophoneMD The principal benefit of bi-wiring is removing those crappy jumpers from the signal path. It only matters if you want good sound, otherwise, you may do as you please.
@@danpangione Honestly at this level it doesn't much matter, that said this was setup just for the video anyway, I didn't want to risk losing the jumpers. Little things like that just seem to scatter like spooked wildlife in a retail environment.

I wonder, does it digitize the analog signal?
Could it drive the KEF LS50 meta properly?
Yes, they recommend 40 to 100 watts and this is right up there having 80 watts.
Is there any sound difference comparing to the bluesound powernode 2021?
Not too much but the NAD gives you a few more features and most importantly analog, and digital inputs inputs like a proper integrated amp.
Would this pair better with the Klipsch RP-600M ii (8 ohms) or the Dali Opticon 2 Mk2 (4 ohms)?
I'd do the Dalis.
@@GramophoneMD Thanks! Is this enough or should I get the M10?
I need it. I want it. I will have it.
Noob question here...can you run a CD transport through the C 700?
Yup, via coax or optical.
Nice review! Only, if you're going bi-wired, remove the links between bass/treble terminals on the speakers, but you knew that!

Nice review. Question is... is it worth the extra cost compared to the Power Node? Does it include the cool meters like the M10?

It does have the meters, and it has a couple of analog inputs as well as legacy digital, whereas the PowerNode is pretty limited.
Maybe you find somebody to play it for you. You would get more views that way, plus we would be able to hear it. Great video quality. Good luck.
You cannot hear anything over RUclips.

You can view it on the BluOS app. Though it is simple. "CD" for 16/44.1, "HR" for 24 bit anything, and MQA.

How does this sound compared to the NAD M10?
Similar, but the M10 is a bit smoother and cleaner, and of course more powerful, plus it's got Dirac Live which is huge.
You left the jumpers on the speaker.
That was intentional as I wasn't bi-amping.

@@GramophoneMD yeah but if youre connecting directly to both binding posts why would you want the jumpers in there?
