My son helped me buy my first gun in my 60s . I now own six and want more. My only regret is that I didn't start buying guns sooner. I love going to the range.
Same here, only it was my daughter that got me hooked. And i’ll tell you what. I love revolvers. 22’s once a week. With an occasional bigger caliber in the mix
When i lived in NJ i owned a 22lr, a 9mm and a 45acp. And i once thought like you. But when i moved to FL i learned there's no such thing as too many guns. What you should do is invest in a quality safe that will support your current and future inventory.
Feel sorry for you bud.Your punishing yourself and cant see the joy in the design and function of different guns.Ever look at a nice quality stainless revolver? Works of art.Ever see a 40 yr old beretta with perfect blued finish? Ever pick up a hundred year old colt and be amazed how it still works perfectly? You can still train with your tactical go to ,carry, gun and enjoy the others for the mechanical wonders that they are.Its not always about money.
I rarely get to go the shooting range much as I like because the ones close to me closed up and to go shooting I have to drive a lot further than I want but I get a lot of enjoyment just by taking some of my older guns out to admire their quality of build, beauty of the finish and so on, I have a few handguns that are blued while wiping them down as it makes a rainbow of colors from the light shining on bluing think to myself Man look at that deep blue finish, They sure dont make them like this anymore! Have a few Military surplus rifles like that will rack the bolt a few times and feel the weight of the rifle and think I bet to make a rifle of this quality today it would cost thousands of dollars, even a SKS that was once considered a 100 dollar gun is better in quality that most semi auto rifles you can buy today
And how can you decide between a pump action or a semi auto shotgun... or double barrel coach gun just for fun? And no one should be forced to decide between an AR and an AK
How about this. Stop buying into a bunch of gimmicks that were formed around Hollywood movies. It’s such an enormous waste of resources. I have an ar7, Glock 34, Glock 26, keltec ksg 12, and Springfield saint victor 5.56. Silencers for every single one except the Glock 26. If you tell me that’s not good enough you really need to get a serious reality check.
Whatever. I have 40 guns because I collect them and I can pass them down to my kid, I like the craftsmanship, I like the Innovation over the years. Not like looking at them. So what
There are a variety of strategies different individuals employ considering this issue. I wasn't going to buy any more because I had reached what I wanted. Then someone called offering a basically new rifle at 2/3rds the price. Now I have all my requirements, plus 1.
I dont regret buying too many guns, I regret not buying certain ones when the prices were low , I remember being able to buy WW-2 German KAR 98K Mauser rifles with the nazi mark for pretty cheap along with a lot of other military surplus rifles and handguns that were almost in collector grade condition at gun shows, Used to see Russian SKS rifles for 150 dollars or Makarov pistols , Swedish Mausers , But I was more focused on the AR 15 or AK47 craze 20 years ago, I used to also see plenty of nice Smith and Wesson revolvers for a steal during that time ,because everybody wanted the Glocks and other semi auto pistols with large magazine capacity and the revolvers were overlooked, I should have bought those guns, but at the time I thought, I have seen those old guns everywhere cheap for years and the prices never move, I can always buy any of those guns, But its like the world went insane over night, all of sudden all those old guns that were worthless for decades became better investments than a gun that costs a thousand dollars! For example years ago I bought a stainless steel Taurus PT92 years ago for 400 dollars, it a beautiful pistol that is reliable and accurate, but today it is has not gained in value at all and I would be lucky to get 400 for it and a gun shop would probaly only give me 250 in trade in value, But If I had bought a 100 dollar Mosin Nagant at the same time that I bought my PT92, that 100 dollar Mosin today would have appreciated in value 300% or more
I am a “collector” I’m 55 and I have collected firearms since I was 16, I live in Alabama, one of the best places to live to purchase firearms, I go in fill out the paperwork, sometimes I’m out with my firearm in 30 minutes sometimes a couple of days, if I haven’t heard anything by 5 days by law I can pick it up! I have calibers from 22 to 45 in pistols and 22 to 308 in rifles, I don’t accessorize my firearms, I’ve stocked ammo for years, when we shoot we do it at someone’s property and we bring everything we have and shoot for hours! I have 0 regrets about anything I’ve purchased, I love my 2nd amendment right to bear arms!
@@timpowell8689 Alabama is the eighth poorest state in the US. I guess if the residents aren't earning compounded interest on their money, they might as well buy more guns.
I purchased a gun safe that claimed to hold 64 long guns. What it didn't tell me was if you put scopes on them that number is cut in half now I have to buy another one😂
I’ve lived on a farm for the last several decades. Have my own range ( pretty elaborate) and have shot tens of thousands of rds through multiple guns, and I reload. Frequently I’ve hosted new acquaintances and 98% of the time they’ll show up with their entire (or majority) collection and proceed to shoot them all badly. On one occasion I met two guys at a gun store I frequent and when the owner mentioned that I had a range hinting, I extended them an invitation and the next Saturday they showed up with one gun each. One with a Glock 19 and the other with an extremely worn 1911 in 9 mm. ( this was pre 2011s). I, of course showed up with my top 5 favorites. They suggested that we do some drills, and in short order I realized that they were both highly skilled competitive shooters. At the end of our shooting session I thanked them for the training and asked what I needed to work on. One of them suggested a couple of technical things, the older guy looked down at my five prized possessions, smiled and said “BEWARE OF THE MAN WITH ONE GUN”. Fast forward 15/yrs. I still have too many but I only regularly shoot three, my 15 yr old Sig P 238 (EDC), my CZ Shadow 2 range practice, home defense and friendly competition, and finally my Colt 1911 converted to 460 Rowland for my hunting personal protection. Good video, very sound advice!
I've always got the itch to buy another gun. But i slowed down recently and have been adding small features on my g19 Gen 4. It made me realise that i need to stop buying and start training/upgrading with my pistols. This video will be on repeat to help me calm my itch
Thank you for putting g this out. I just bought my first pistol and instantly realized what you were talking about was exactly where my head was going. Will be focusing on becoming a master of one before taking on any new ones. 👍
This video translates to so many hobbies! Literally every hobby becomes overkill spending if you let it. So whatever that hobby is, buy with purpose, not for quantity. You’re allowed to do whatever you want though.
First off he lives in a bullshyt state . Second he’s talks about anxiety over choosing which gun to take to the range already sounds like a man that didn’t mature enough lol
I lived in New Jersey for 26 years. Good place to be from! Had a lot of friends and learned to hunt there but I don’t miss it. Florida was good but best so far was Tennessee and now South Carolina. I now have 17 handguns, including a Desert Eagle 50 ae. 6 AR’s four shotguns, and 4 rifles for hunting. Best hobby ever.
I think he’s right to some degree. That said everyone is different and he seems to be trapped in a one size fits all box. For me personally I love to target shoot and obviously home defense. For me it’s 2 rifles, 3 pistols all secured. Reason for 2 rifles is one is none and 2 is one mentality. Reason for 3 handguns is strategic placement in my house. Ammo is a regular purchase that never ends.
I have 33 firearms and he’s absolutely right! I’m a collector but this economy has taken away the fun of buying. I have TTIs, Nighthawks, Atlas, and Staccato’s. It’s definitely an expensive hobby
Man, you hit it dead on. This is my 3rd go-around collecting guns. I find that I like to shoot my guns rather than just collecting them. I can really identify with all the points you have made. You really just need to spend the time and money on practicing with just a few guns. It can really get complicated if you don't simplify the process.
And buying only one or even a few is dumb bro. Its like anything else, why do you like more then one kind of food, one kind of drink or one kind of anything. NEVER stop buying as much as your heart desires! In the beginning concentrate on LOTS of ammo & training with your EDC yes BUT once you have thousands of rounds or more for your EDC/EDC’s per caliber, BUY BUY BUY MORE GUNS!
You don't have to master each gun. I have those I depend my life on that I'm really proficient in. Others I just like to shoot. Others I don't like to shoot. Many more on my buy next list and then some on my buy after thar list.
Yep, that makes a lot of sense. I have a 9mm and all that was said is true, but I have a 45 and it’s the most fun to shoot, and I just love the round. I have a 357 snub nose too that’s cool that I reload for. They all serve different purposes, so it makes sense to me. However, if you can keep your guns secure and you can afford it, there shouldn’t really be a limit. You might feel crazy about it sometimes but we should take advantage of our freedom to own what we want. Some people don’t have that choice.
Am I the only one slogging a case of 12+ pistols and 3-4 rifles every range trip? I personally need a rifle for every pistol and a pistol for every rifle which means if I buy one, I buy two. Sometimes it's two pistols but then I have to buy 2 rifles. It's a sickness.
Got a 9mm micro-compact pistol for concealed carry... Got my Foldable MandP 9mm carbine for bedside ... Got my 556 Ar15 for if "shit hits the fan" for medium to long range. Got my big scary AR Shotgun for shit hits the fan close-medium range. All I will ever need. 100% locked in and plan on mastering them. Each has their separate place, and each has their separate use. Easy.😎
This guy lives in New Jersey, so his opinion is not valuable to those of us who live in Free States, LMAO. The only point he made that was worthwhile is that training and ammo are super important.
Jersey is not as bad as he makes it sound. We have many many ranges, and in south jersey we have acres we live on, so we have our own ranges. And yes we can also purchase ammo on line. Pawn shops dont sell weapons but i have at least 4 gun shops within 20 mile radius
@@Brandi6666sorry bud but Newjerseyslovakia IS as bad or worse....WHY on earth do I need references on a permit to purchase while I'm wearing a carry gun? ...and we also have a DUTY to retreat from violent CRIMINALS....leaving this shitpile soon and can't wait
Honestly, I have to say most handguns are pretty straightforward. Once you learn how to use one it’s pretty simple to learn how to use the others. I don’t think that’s a valid argument for “don’t waste your money because you’ll have to learn each handgun Because you don’t know how to use it. it’s nice to have a array of tools to choose from. if that’s what people wanna do then that’s no problem. Honestly, this video just kept making the same point over and over again which was don’t buy them because they’re expensive. Firearms are a hobby and passion for many of us
I like the warm & fuzzy feeling of trying to decide which weapon am I in the MOOD to take out today. I do agree to your 9MM ammo falling into the affordability dept! But on the other hand I can’t leave out the FUN I get by using a 22LR either in a AR-15-22, or with my FN502 handgun. On a more friendly basses you reside in NJ, and I reside in a solid Red state, with many Public outdoors ranges so there are so many more options to have fun, we are not restricted to an indoor gun ranges only like in your state.🤝 You should really take a deeper look into the new trend that is taking hold, PC9Carbine Rifles. They are amazing, they all are making them now. Ruger, Black Rain, Springfield, S&W etc…
A lot of hobbies are like this. People start small, realize they are in to it, and start moving up the ladder. The best advice is to make sure you are in to it FIRST. Then get the model you really want FIRST. The money spent moving up the ladder will add up quickly and you will be stuck with a collection that is inferior. Selling BOTL and MOTL items is a pain and almost always result in lost money.
Bro, I feel you. And agree wholeheartedly. I have become a minimalist in my life overall. I went from 17 firearms down to just 5. One bedside Glock 19 MOS. A 43X as EDC. An AR style 9MM carbine, a shotgun and a hunting rifle. However, I am fortunate to live in the mostly blue state of Vermont but our gun laws are sane.
7:30 uhhhj umm agreeing and disagreeing you don’t just need and ar and pistol that’s a preference because I would add shotgun and hunting rifle to that as well
Great advice. It is so easy to think "wow, if I could just get that one..." The truth of the matter is that the gun(s) you have now are probably just fine and focussing down on one ammo type (I am at three with 9mm, 357/38, and 45, so that ship has sailed) is sensible. I would add that spending money on a solid laser dry fire product is a good idea. A big issue for most of us is the flinch. I have not gotten rid of it totally but having the dry fire with the laser ammo has helped tremendously.
So I kind of like this, just putting out my two cents on the topic, I personally have three rolls to fill when it comes to firearms: (in no specific order) concealed carry, plinker/training gun, and home defense, that's it. Good point on the training aspect, all three of my guns (two 9mm's and a .22lr) have 1000+ round through them (my .22 has goodness knows how many thousands of rounds through it) all that to say, with each one of these firearms I am very proficient with them.......however, the two 9mm's I have were not the first guns I used to fill those roles, and wouldn't you know it, when I got the replacement gun for said roles, I had to essentially start from scratch when it came to training. All that to say, loved the video, excellent points
Thank you. Some people are thinking about bit too hard when watching this video. Not trying to stop people from buying guns, just to train with what you have first before getting more. Thanks for watching.
Intended to rewatch the video cuz I think you mentioned something to the effect that you should buy guns that are all chambered in the same caliber. If I have that right, I would challenge you on that, only for this reason: I have a lot of guns (cuz I caught the same illness as you when I first started shooting lol) but the gun I carry is a 9mm Sig Sauer 229 Legion. However during the pandemic, when it was really hard to get 9mm, I was still able to buy .44 magnum, .357, and .38. Not that I was regularly carrying any guns chambered in those calibers, but I still had those options if necessary. Just my thoughts.
I agree, I like guns, was raised in a Ruger/Revolver and Winchester 94 family. We had various shotguns, and various 22s. But the point was to know how to use the gun you had. You didn't "cheat" on your gun. I carried a firearm professionally as a Reserve Police Officer and an Armed Tactical Nuclear Security Officer. I have carried a full-sized Ruger P Series 9mm concealed on plain clothes assignments, and I am a small framed guy. Use the weapon you have, learn how to adapt to your changing environment - the gun you know best, is always your best friend.
You my friend are missing the point. You logic is flawed and you misguided. People who buy multiple guns are in the same category of people who have 3 or more vehicles. We buy because we like the engineering and purposeful use and then it becomes an “ n+1” situation. We follow trends verses needs. We only need one gun is a deceptive truth. One gun for self protection is true but what about everything outside of self defense. If you have a gun for hunting deer, one for ducks and birds , one for large game, one for concealed carry, one for my spouse, and one to practice cheaply. Putting all those things together under one gun does not compute. We also buy from what we saw on tv or in movies. I watched bonanza, the rifleman, combat, and all the assorted media that glorified certain guns. Buying guns , In my experience is about idenity and recognition. I don’t know any guy that owned guns that doesn’t want or have a lever action rifle , Walter PPk ( the James Bond pistol.) a series 70 1911 , Ruger ranch rifle with folding stock, bond derringer,a Thompson ( Chicago typewriter) an AR -15, and double barrel shotgun, a western single action revolver and a 12 gauge shotgun, just to name a few deep felt desires most gunners have as a collection that spans man’s journey through the history of firearms. I have yet to get to the home self defense weapon or large game or distance weapons. Guns, it is not about what we need , it’s more about the influences we have deep deep in our brains. I call it “subliminal persuasion”. You did speak the truth our left side of the brain understands and agrees with you but the right hand side of our brains don’t see you as one of us. We are irrational and driven by desires, we love the old guns and are drawn to the next great new firearm. It’s the way we are, enjoyed your vid and agree one gun is all you need but what fun is that?
Very well stated- he’s been in New Jersey too long maybe and should move to a free state. Guns are like tools- and the more variety of tools you have the greater the odds that you will have the one you need
Yes, the S&W 629 44 magnum was an iconic weapon that Eastwood brought to light , and let’s not forget the Ruger mini 14 ranch rifle with folding stock from the A-team or the sharps rifle in Quigley down under. From youth every man child wants a Daisy Red Ryder lever action BB gun, then a Crossman pump .177. We could swap reference weapons all day. You made my point for me. We all have brand name quality firearms associated with media exposure. Television / movie media is the crack where the light gets in. Silence of the lambs Hannibal Lecter said it best ,” we covet what we see”. And yes because of influence of that movie , I did research and buy Glasser safety slugs in 38 special. I haven’t taken them out to the range to test them but they are in my 38 snub nose revolver in the gun safe. We both agree WTSHTF we all have a firearm in our minds to have JI C. For some it’s a 12 gauge , some a black gun ( AR 15 style high capacity rifle) and there’s want a simple wheel gun and there’s always that guy with the 50 caliber Barrett rifle ( the Jeff bridges, Clint Eastwood special weapon from “ thunder bolt and lightfoot “. ). American gun culture is a reflection of what we see in the movies and television and from video games. And it’s a predominantly a guy thing but that is changing. In a world gone wrong, everyone both women and men wants to feel safe and comfortable at home, at an event, at church and when they are at their leisure. Owning a firearm isn’t a mandatory requirement but it does give some a peace of mind. And that’s what is all about. It’s a false narrative to justify having an arsenal and /or carrying a firearm to keep you safe from harm. Stuff happens whether you are prepared or not. Unless you are a police officer or active duty military, you don’t have a prep for danger mind set and practice routinely . To use a firearm against another living thing for self protection is the worst possible scenario with unintended consequences and repercussions. Having a firearm is a tremendous responsibility and should be taken seriously. All that being said , it’s a choice and a privilege not a right. Choose wisely and remember to respect others as you want to be respected.

Hey Jay, live in new jersey as well. I completely agree with you. Made the same mistake. I always recommend one or two guns. Then invest in ammo and training. Especially a stop the bleed course, basic first aid and cpr. Let's be honest. Chances are you will use that knowledge before any firearm skills. Keep the videos coming. Stay safe. God bless
Just saw your video today and I just have to say this is a great video for beginners. I currently have a Taurus G3C that I plan on leaving in my truck, a Glock 48 that I plan on leaving in my wife’s vehicle and now I’m planning on buying a full size duty style gun in the Sig Sauer P226 “older design” for an all around carry gun. So now no matter where I travel I’ll have something with me for my family’s safety. Oh don’t forget the POLICE TRADE IN’s as they can help people save a ton of money for a cheaper option for quality firearms.
One, you're in a subjugated state. Two, money must be an issue to you for you to be complaining about how many guns you have. Three, we have private land out here where we at, so we train all the time, FOR FREE! As far as the children? We train our children down here to shoot and to know and abide by all of the safety rules concerning all factions of gun ownership and safety!
Spot on. When I wanted my first gun, I wanted an HKP30SK. It was out of my budget. All I could get was just the gun. I ended up with a Taurus G3c, 1 training lesson, NJ CCW permit class , ammo, holster, and a lock box. Still have the G3c and love it. A year later, I bought a Bodyguard 2.0 for deep carry. Love it too. I rotate between them. Soon a AR15. Need to save up😊
Totally agree. I started buying guns this year, got a full-size hand gun, and an ar 15, I'll only add another 9mm for ccw and a shot gun, that's all you need.
NJ stepped it up decently & recently, i waited only 3 weeks exactly for my none resident CCL. Now you NJ residents need to work on the astronomical costs they charge! One of the absolute most expensive by far.
@@marcwilson4003 I have about 14 or 15 CCL’s through our country & NJ is either number one or two most expensive. Absolutely insane to be that expensive for a fake permission slip! At min all states should make their CCL’s free for state residents & at most about 50 bucks for 3 years or 100 bucks for 5 years for none residents AND it should take a few weeks at most once all paperwork is submitted so NJ is spot on in the latter part at least. Btw, many parts of PA your walk in with a 2-3 page paperwork & walk out with your CCL in literally 5-10 mins after handing it in! 🔫🦅🇺🇸🙏
what I have found is it is fun to buy one firearm of a specific style. one levergun. one ar 15, one ak. one polymer pistol ect... each one feels unique, but you know what you would.grab in a serious situation. to be fair though, I have two ar15, one in 5.56, and one for hunting in 6.5 grendel.
I respectfully disagree with everything this nice fellow is saying. My S&W revolver collection always is one too few. Oh it comes in a 6 inch barrel version also? Need it, bought it. Oh there’s a stainless version? Need it, bought it. Oh there’s a ported option? Need it, bought it. Oh here’s a pre lock model? Need it bought it. Oh there’s a performance center upgrade? Need it, bought it. Oh there’s a carry comp version? Need it, buy it. Oh they have it chambered in .44 mag? Need it, bought it. Oh they’ve got a version cut for moon clips? Need it, bought it. Does anyone see where I’m going with this? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
I’m a Mechanic, when The Snap-On Tool Truck comes out, I’m pretty much looking at tools and mostly buying. I’m glad they don’t have a Firearms Truck that comes around, then I would be in trouble with my bank account and wife 😂
I would say buy just one 9mm compact handgun for home defense, one slim subcompact 9mm handgun for EDC, one 22lr pistol or revolver for training at the range and one AR-15 rifle in 5.56 will full accessories and red dot for SHTF. Just those 4 guns. Just those 3 types of ammo (9mm, 22lr, and 5.56). . That's the most basic set of tools that you need. It's not worth it to go beyond that if you don't live in rural areas. If you do, then I would add theee more firearms: Only one full size 10mm handgun for beasts protection, one shotgun and one .308 rifle. That's it.
ALMOST totally agree... I'd add: Try, test more, to see what fits you the best. Btw. if you are into sporting, youl'll need a few more than just 2, but the mentioned guidelines should help minimizing the unnecessary inventory.
I think it depends on who you are. If you feel like you need to buy a new gun because it is better than the one you have, you are probably buying for the wrong reasons. I like buying a variety of different kinds of guns (i.e. revolvers, 1911s, striker fires, etc.). At the end of the day, as long as you use what you buy, you are justified in buying it.
I think this was the video I needed. I'm sitting here waiting for my FFID to come through with my two pistol permits. Watching guntube, browsing deal sites. Getting myself all frothy. This is a good reality check.
Other than real estate , guns are one of the very few assets that appreciate in value over time. Quality firearms are an investment that the owner can enjoy and increases in value.
I'd rather have 5 sick high end guns than 20 low or mid range. Buy once cry once. Spent 1300 on a pistol today for the house. I'll probably buy a sick ar15 and a carry gun next and be done unless I get a shotty way down the line.
Sorry what? Too many guns? No such thing!!! Summer carry is different to winter carry. Competition shooting is optic or open or classic or standard? I’m on 6 and that’s not even close. I’m in South Africa and not even in America. I was born in the wrong country.🤣🤣🤣
People will hate on this take but it makes good sense. You only have 2 hands and a certain amount of ammo. Never understood buying a bunch of similar handguns you won't shoot regularly or even close.
This was a great video JC. I really needed to hear this, cause I was about to do the same thing. Actually my virtual shopping cart is full of at least 10 guns I was planning to buy.🤭😂 Thank bro
Totally agree with you. I made the same mistake. Fortunately I realized that before it got much worse. When I buy a gun, I have a specific purpose for it: this one is for my bedroom, this is my EDC, that one is for my wife, and that's for a SHTF situation etc. I don't buy accessories for every gun. For example, my EDC has no red dot or light because I think they will hinder its concealability, and I don't think a red dot will make a huge difference in a gun fight that happens within a few yards. Still, I would have bought fewer guns if I could go back in time
👍Well said I agree with that ! No red dot on an EDC either..( too bulky) Also having a "back up/ alternate EDC is very important and often overlooked..for example it will be taken for evidence in a self defense situation
9:37 on the other hand, it can potentially be extremely beneficial to know the end and outs of different guns, saftey features, hpw to shoot and field strip. I think of it like knowing how to drive a manual in a post apocalypse. "It's an important skill to have. You never know when you'll need to get out of a tough spot. Could save your life one day" -Kenny
I hear you. For a beginner or someone with a limited budget, it is important to strategize and prioritize. Something like this for example, 1. Home defense firearm 2. 556 Rifle 3. CC 4. Plinker 5. Hunting rifle The less calibers and brands the better. Also aware of training and accessories. People can do what they want and what they can afford, but it's seems to me like a lot of people just buy buy and buy aimlessly and I prefer to be more strategic and intentional
I started with concealed carry and plinker pistol+rifle, wound up gifted an AR a few years later, now years later again I am finally looking into getting something dedicated for home defense. My interest in firearms has waxed and waned over the years but I do enjoy having the basics to fall back on

Started at 18 I have 0 regret. We'll maybe one my first was 450 bushmaster and now poor 😆
No shit. For the price of a box of cartridges. You can't have that much fun at the bar if you spent twice that. Deals on ammo are popping up.
Theyre a good investment. Surplus prices have sky rocketed. A once undesirable firearm is now saught after by nearly everyone.
True especially older guns from militaries. A case of grands back in the day $100s now one is $1000.

You on the way to being a dumbass. It is too much trouble and risk collecting all those guns
For example years ago I bought a stainless steel Taurus PT92 years ago for 400 dollars, it a beautiful pistol that is reliable and accurate, but today it is has not gained in value at all and I would be lucky to get 400 for it and a gun shop would probaly only give me 250 in trade in value, But If I had bought a 100 dollar Mosin Nagant at the same time that I bought my PT92, that 100 dollar Mosin today would have appreciated in value 300% or more
Yes indeed. I remember when the M14 was 600 dollars. Should have bought one then.
I get you, I also get that you haven't got rid of any of the extra handguns.

Too many guns is like saying that I'm too sexy.

As long as your training sufficiently, I agree!

On a more friendly basses you reside in NJ, and I reside in a solid Red state, with many Public outdoors ranges so there are so many more options to have fun, we are not restricted to an indoor gun ranges only like in your state.🤝

Fun video for its comic book value and perhaps nagging wife's advice.
7:30 uhhhj umm agreeing and disagreeing you don’t just need and ar and pistol that’s a preference because I would add shotgun and hunting rifle to that as well
My wife has a saying, "A man can not have too many toys, like a woman can not have too many shoes." So she gets a "pair" I get a "pair"... I win 😂
Good points! I would have to add a .22 handgun and rifle to the list, as well as a 12 gauge pump shotgun. I could do without the AR...
this guy is ridiculous😂😂😂
I agree, I like guns, was raised in a Ruger/Revolver and Winchester 94 family. We had various shotguns, and various 22s. But the point was to know how to use the gun you had. You didn't "cheat" on your gun. I carried a firearm professionally as a Reserve Police Officer and an Armed Tactical Nuclear Security Officer. I have carried a full-sized Ruger P Series 9mm concealed on plain clothes assignments, and I am a small framed guy. Use the weapon you have, learn how to adapt to your changing environment - the gun you know best, is always your best friend.
He has a great point, I should have been buying more ammo.
Thanks bro you really talked me off the off the ledge 😊 with this post …. great points
You forgot Dirty Harry’s 44 mag smith and Wesson 29.

That's it.
Good advice 👍🏽
ALMOST totally agree...
I'd add: Try, test more, to see what fits you the best.
Btw. if you are into sporting, youl'll need a few more than just 2, but the mentioned guidelines should help minimizing the unnecessary inventory.
Just wait till the shit hits the fan. You'll be wishing you had more guns and ammo despite not having the "training " you think you need.
I never said not to buy ammo, quite the opposite. Thanks for watching
How many guns do you think you can carry when shit hits the fan? 40?
Do you have a militia ready to carry all of those guns when shit hits the fan?
I think it depends on who you are. If you feel like you need to buy a new gun because it is better than the one you have, you are probably buying for the wrong reasons. I like buying a variety of different kinds of guns (i.e. revolvers, 1911s, striker fires, etc.). At the end of the day, as long as you use what you buy, you are justified in buying it.
I think this was the video I needed. I'm sitting here waiting for my FFID to come through with my two pistol permits. Watching guntube, browsing deal sites. Getting myself all frothy. This is a good reality check.
Sooo... how many are you going to buy and which ones?
So What did you get?
You already have a collection; however, you need to add a 1911, and a revolver. A Wilson Combat or Ed brown 1911. A Smith &Wesson 686 Revolver.
Nice try. Not gonna do it, though.
This was great insight. Thanks.
Sorry what? Too many guns? No such thing!!! Summer carry is different to winter carry. Competition shooting is optic or open or classic or standard? I’m on 6 and that’s not even close. I’m in South Africa and not even in America. I was born in the wrong country.🤣🤣🤣
Need to move out of NJ
Sorry, I just build what I want not buy only what is made lol.
You can never have too many and I avoid glocks like the plague.
How come? I have other guns but what’s wrong with Glock?
Deffinitly
Glocks are over priced and over rated.
Glocks are like Toyota Camrys everybody got one!
Glocks give you tunnel vision.
He's right I only have like 2ish and I'm perfectly happy with all of them. Now I'm not counting all the cordless hole punchers😁

I hear you. For a beginner or someone with a limited budget, it is important to strategize and prioritize. Something like this for example,
1. Home defense firearm
2. 556 Rifle
3. CC
4. Plinker
5. Hunting rifle
The less calibers and brands the better.
