from a dancer perspective this is truly a masterpiece. the choreography is so intricate and the imagery is phenomenal. every move goes so perfectly with the theme of the song. and i must say, the fact that sunmi co-wrote amd co-produced this makes me like it a thousand times more. it's not a dull sexy concept forced on a young girl by her company. she's a mature woman and the one who CHOSE this concept and that's why she does it so well. 'TAIL' paints the perfect picture to what happens when great artists such as sunmi, the choreographers and the dancers unite; greatness.
You can thank Janelle Ginestra for the choreography. At first I wondered who choreographed this and when I saw the name Janelle Ginestra I actually remembered seeing her choreographies before, and they had a similar vibe to this.
I really like the use of her back up dancers with this choreography. The back up dancers don’t look like back up dancers, they look like they’re part of the performance as a whole, an element that completes everything. Great choreo!

The thing about this is it's not just sexy, you can still see Sunmi's great musicality and stage presence. It does not look cheap at all. At least in my opinion.
Everything is perfect about this dance it’s sensual and sly like a black cat and the lighting and shadows just adds this eerie and seductive feel and it complements the dance so much. I love all the little details of arms and legs being the tail, I think that’s really clever. And all the spring movements into a sort of crouch like a cat and the crawling like a cat stalking it’s prey it’s purrfect. Sunmi’s charisma and stage presence is insane it’s not forced it’s so natural and that’s something I love about watching her perform it’s just so mesmerising to watch.
The multiple tails at once might also indicate her being a Gumiho (Nine Tailed Fox) from Korean mythology. Within the music video they only show a black cat. But the choreography hints a lot at her being a Nine Tailed fox that can turn into a woman and make all men go crazy over her...

from a dancer perspective this is truly a masterpiece. the choreography is so intricate and the imagery is phenomenal. every move goes so perfectly with the theme of the song. and i must say, the fact that sunmi co-wrote amd co-produced this makes me like it a thousand times more. it's not a dull sexy concept forced on a young girl by her company. she's a mature woman and the one who CHOSE this concept and that's why she does it so well. 'TAIL' paints the perfect picture to what happens when great artists such as sunmi, the choreographers and the dancers unite; greatness.
