Your videos helped me through a dark place in my life, I was in a year ago. I just put down alcohol,I was very very depressed for years,I was going through anxiety and withdrawal and this sht kept me going. Thank you 🤙
@@chrisbauman2562 I know I don't know you but I was into hard drugs for almost 6 years. So I know what you were going through. I been almost 6 years clean on April 30th. Keep it up! I know you can make 2 years clean :)
This was fascinating! What a sweet lady for allowing you to film inside the museum. Her stories were interesting. The memorabilia from the movie was cool to see. I cant believe its been nearly 30 years since the movie came out. I remember seeing it in theaters. Another great video.
There I was....asking Adam the woo for this exact film location video....and Jordan pulls through to my shock! Right on! Thanks buddy! One of my favorite films!
The local weatherman, Gary England, who was in this movie was legendary on his own long before the movie. He was one of the pioneers in using dappled radar and predicting tornado paths. He's been credited for saving tons of lives. He is retired now but he was on air for decades. I'm glad you are documenting more of Oklahoma!
@@cynthiamincher5154 …….and tuned in to hear his voice every spring especially. Because no channel except for Channel 9 could be trusted as much as 9 and Gary England.
Wow, how cool to have the local weatherman in that movie. I'd love that if they included my hometown in a movie. They made Fresno-The Mini Series here in Fresno, but it was such a silly movie. Carol Burnett was in it.
Cool! That's neat they made a museum for the movie. Thanks to the sweet lady who opened it up for you and shared some stories. I think that Twister pinball machine plays Van Halen's 'Humans Being' from the soundtrack. Each member of the band got one of the machines around the time of the premier.
Brilliant, what a lovely lady and an amazing museum . She was such a joy to listen to . Her knowledge and information about the movie and the set really gave this video the midas touch . What a way to end this series Jordan thank you , this little town is just so kool 😎.
So nice of the staff to let you film inside the museum! Very cool to see the props and memorabilia. Thanks so much for sharing this experience with us, Jordan.
So glad you got to go in. They rearranged things since I was there last year. Linda is the sweetest so happy to answer any questions. Love the small town life. I was 17 when twister came out and went and saw it at our local drive in with my family ❤️
Thank you for sharing this vlog. Very nice of the lady that open the museum for you. Very nologible on the movie 🎬. Have a wonderful day and give Jah a paw shake for me.
What a terrific interview! The backstory of the town's misfortune prior to the movie being filmed added a whole extra dimension to the production (indeed it would make a good movie as well). So glad you managed to visit. It was very kind of the lady to open this amazing museum - she was a really interesting host. Also terrific behind scenes footage. Many Thanks Jordan - look forward to my next viewing of this movie.
Another great video that was associated with a truly great movie. I will say you did an amazing job interviewing the museum owner as well. Very well done! *RIP* Bill "The Extreme" Paxton.
Finally got to finish watching this episode as I've had to toilet Eleanor-Rigbey. She is so tiny, but has the attitude of a Rotweiler I reckon. She just keeps pawing & sidling up to me. I don't appreciate her ebony eyes not half a foot Grimm my face whilst I'm watching your show. Great episode as I said earlier. I enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes footage too. The expense that went into making the movie, "Twister" is phenomenal. Safe travels to you & Jah.
Oh wow, so glad you got to see the museum!! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing it! Shelter in the Twister museum, no irony there lol. Bob's Rd, I WANT that sign!! Ok, definitely watching Twister, it's been a minute. 😁 Thanks J & J,!! Love, hugs & God Bless you both 💞💞
I really enjoyed your blog! That was great for her to open the museum for you. I live just 150 miles away here in Tulsa, and I didn't know about the museum until your blogs. Definitely will make the road trip! Thanks for sharing Jordan! I love Jah and hope he is doing well.
What a fun video! And the interview was terrific! Thank you Jordan, I'm so glad that you were able to get into the museum and took the opportunity for us!
I am so glad I came across your channel this week. This is my all time fave movie that not even the flu kept me from seeing it in the theatre. This is so great to see this video with the museum and the last one of the town. Ty for sharing! Love your videos.
My dad was Patrick Swayze's driver on Next Of Kin. My dad was union. He got to meet Bill Paxton. He said he was as humble and nice as you heard. I was able to meet Patrick and his wife. Both were very nice. Liam Neeson was very nice too. I was 11 years old.
@@DazewithJordantheLion my dad passed away in 2017. I was cleaning out his house. I found a bunch of pictures of the Next Of Kin set. Patrick Swayze would shoot bow and arrows to pass the time. It was partly filmed in Hazard, Ky. My dad got to be a driver on two movies. Next Of Kin and Stripes. He was Sean Young's driver a few times. He said John Candy, Harold Remis, and Judge Reinhold were the nicest of the bunch.
Cool! Love the film Twister🌪 from my high school days - I remember finding the poster spine tingling! What a nice, kind lady to spend her time giving you all that information. I saw Bill Paxton once walking down Oxford Street here in London 🇬🇧 so sad he is gone too soon. Always had a deep seated desire to do some twister chasing, the phenomenon of nature
Hi Jordan, always great to see saved movie props, whatever they are. I'm so pleased the lady got back to you, and what a lovely lady. It was so nice listening to her stories first hand of the movie filming etc. Interesting seeing the 'behind the scenes' footage, you don't get to see a lot of that of films generally. Some great memorabilia there aswell. Great vlog Jordan.
Huge fan of this movie. Seen it a thousand times but you pointed out some things in your videos I missed. Now I am going to watch it for a thousand and one times and catch the things I might have missed. 👍👍
Twister inspired a good number of Storm Chasers. Reed Timmer and Dominator, even our local Meteorologist Dave Dahl got into the the act. The Science museum of MN had an attraction about Twister and Tornado related events.
Glad to see you back in Oklahoma. This state has alot of history to it. I remember as a kid on Friday nights if we were good my parents would take my sister and I to get a pizza and then to a place called Video House to pick out a movie to rent for the weekend. My sister picked out Twister when it first came out on VHS. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not before we watched it but then I really liked it.
Very cool Museum !! I didn't know about it. Thank you for sharing !! I'm a Twister fan. I have a Sega Twister Pinball machine in my collection, it is one of my favorite games, not very many were made. If you get a chance to play one do so , the multiball mode is really cool.
Just wanted to let you know we are enjoying all your videos, hope Mr. Jah is feeling better. You bring us so many different videos on interesting places. Loved the one you did on Lanard (hope I did not spell that wrong). We watched those videos when you met him. So glad you had a chance to meet him and his family. Jordan we enjoy all your videos and will continue to watch as long as you do them. Ma Baker and family were quite something, Thank you for all your do and taking us on the journey with you.
Thanks Jordan! Very interesting! I hope you can come back to OK sometime. There is a ton of History and quirky fun things to see here! If you ever want some suggestions, I'm a historian and a retired college History Professor!
6:00 i was watching the movie and on the scene when they pull up to Aunt Megs house and see the wreckage, you can actually still see the cable rigging on top of the house for when they reset it haha
One of the local weathermen is Rick Mitchell, he is our main meteorologist here in DFW, on NBC DFW Channel 5. He is the best ever meteorologist I've even watched. I lived in California for many years and even their best guy isn't as good as Rick Mitchell!
