Hey Jordan. Great that you vlogged this. Twister came out at the same time as home surround sound. It was mind blowing. Loved Bill Paxton. His premature death was so sad.

I loved the movie when it came on the big screen . And what a location to film part of such an iconic disaster movie. I found it quite eerie when you walked towards the wind chime at aunt Megs location, all of a sudden it turned and chimed . Such a peaceful town just loved how close everything is to view the sites if visiting this town . Thanks Jordan and little Jah, you always make stories come to life. 💚👍

Hi Jordan, how nice to see the actual town where it was filmed, I did like the film. I thought that was a nice little touch for them to put those little windmill chime things there. Jordan, don't be sorry, you always do your best for us and it's very much appreciated. Great vlog Jordan.

You were about an hour and 15 minutes away from my mom’s hometown of Waynoka. My grandfather worked for the Santa Fe railroad there, and I believe they have a Harvey House museum there. It is next to the Little Sahara State Park, which has a lot of dune buggy activities on the sand dunes there. I believe Waynoka’s motto at one time was, “The City by the Sea of Sand.”

I noticed many black benches in the small town. It is almost like they have one bench for each person in the town (400). Lol
Than you again Jordon for another great episode.

@@DazewithJordantheLion Our Eleanor-Rigby is exactly the same. We drove to Perth from Adelaide last year (A 5 day trip) & Eleanor-Rigbey was in here element. She actually suits on a big cushion pin my lap so she can stand & look out the window. She gets really excited seeing dogs walking down the street.
It is so good that you could take him along ion your travels.
It's a pity that the Museum wasn't open, but it was just as good seeing the locations used in the making of the movie.
Again, please drive carefully & enjoy yourself.
Again, again, kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia.

I felt bad, I could hear the disappointment in your voice when you realized it wasn't open till April. Still, you pulled off a pretty good vlog!
While you were in Kansas, I heard you read, The Emit Kelly Museum, I would love to see that! He was a famous clown, a sad clown. My Grandmother loved him & had several paintings and porcelain statues of him in her home. I just watched a What's My Line?, with him as the Mystery Guest. I think he would make a great person/personality to do a vlog on!! Only 3 clowns in my life I have liked Bozo!, Emit Kelley, & Hocus Pocus (H.P. was a clown from the area I grew up as a little girl.).
You pulled it off, Jordan!!! 🌼

I remember when I was growing up, our teacher took us on a field trip to the local theater to see this movie, they rented out a theater for us to watch it, the special effects were great, but I found the story to be lacking, I thought that Dorothy machine was a dumb plot and I remember when Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton were cheering when the Dorothy machine went up into the funnel and they cheered, they got it done. RIP Bill Paxton, I remember Helen Hunt, being obsessed with Tornadoes, since her father was killed by one at the start of the movie, I also remember Cary Elwes of Princess Bride fame being the rival storm chaser who got killed, because he was so arrogant, and that was the first movie I ever saw Philip Seymour Hoffman, but Jordan you showed that Dorothy Machine and it brought back memories

It was all my dumbness that we were stuck. I thought you popped the pin out too slide open the cellar. Ah nope pin stays in the door. Oh well Hubs showed me what to do. She explains tomorrow that the houses they destroyed in the movie had already had severe damage from a hail storm a year or two before, so the production coming and paying them, and taking down those buildings actually helped the town save hundreds of thousands of dollars on demolition. She said not everyone had insurance on their buildings, so that helped chose what they destroyed for the movie

There was never a Jewlry store....it was a prop for the movie. Most of what they show on the pictures are movie props they built. That house that was on the corner was built for the movie. Alot of people have moved away and many of the houses were already about to fall down to they destroyed many houses for the movie. I lived in that town for years.

I got to say, because of the movie I bought some property in town to retire, but that was a mistake. The people were snobby, and particular who they want living in town. I bought too soon ,and had to get rid of it. They had a ten year reunion,in town, spent at that time almost 3000.00 in phone calls to get some of the cast from the movie. Not even a thank you for helping, from the woman that ran the museum. She even cut me out of the picture for the paper.the picture only had her and John rhyne .the paramedic in the film.He lives in ponka city, and is now fire chief. Just to be honest she only cared for herself, didn't care about tourists,or too much about the people in town. She sure slapped me in the face ,for trying to help. With that in hand, it sure made me glad kids took some of props. Payback is a bear. They had a pinball machine, made from the movie. She used open the building,if the kids wanted to play , and left them alone. She came back and found things missing, and someone broke the lock. Just wanted to say that it wasn't such a nice place to visit.
