Oh Christine your projects look amazing. I love all the sounds in your video. I could sit and enjoy this all day! so peaceful and tranquil. You definitely keep busy and oh how fun to find so many antique things to repurpose, it is always a plus with those kinds of things, your quilt blocks will look beautiful with the choices you picked. It'll be fun to see your progress on it. thanks for sharing all your doing with us. It keeps me motivated.
Love that chicken cross stitch design at the beginning and the monkey spinning on your Swedish sampler isn’t that how we feel at times like a monkey trying to juggle all the different crafts, both new quilts are going to look great when finished and so lucky to get family quilts, nothing like that in our family.you are also looking really well
Thanks. I’m feeling so much better. I was surprised when my mom said she had some quilts for me. She had given me a few years and years ago and I thought that was all of them.
Hi Christine. You have the knack for finding antiques. I love the antique quilt blocks. They have fallen into caring hands and the quilt will be amazing. I have no family items and am in awe of your family quilts too. You enabled me and exile I was watching, I ordered the Teresa Kogut Remember Me. 😮 You have a bald eagle in your yard? Wow...beautiful! Love seeing what Agnes gets up to. I love her ornery ways! 😂 Happy stitching 🧵
You won’t regret it. It is fabulous. I just got lucky with those blocks. There was another set at a different booth that wanted a completely ridiculous amount of money. They are still there.
Wonderful flosstube😍 your sampler is gorgeous. The person on the chair is a monkey spinning the thread of life. Normally, Clotho did this. The meaning was that the world was a bit in disarray. You also have Joshua and Caleb returning from Caanan with the giant grape. Really lovely sampler.
Christine loved your video. I really think scrap quilts are my favorite. I love the those blocks you found at the antique store so much. All your projects are beautiful. I love your sampler. Aren’t we blessed with love of crafts. Take Care it was good to see your mom out of the hospital!!
Beautiful visit Christine…enjoyed all that you shared…I do remember some sampler’s from my grandmother with a crown on their heads and she said that was so to signify of their death…your Swedish Sampler is beautiful…loved the older quilts and quilt blocks…best wishes and happy adventures…Agnes is a treat to keep you busy❤❤
Christine, I can't wait to meet you at Stitch Con Weekend A! I am a late add, so I am a bit frantic about what to take and what to make. I have stitched my smalls exchange, but still need to be FFO'd. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Best, K
Hello there, I was so happy to catch up with you and watch this video, excellent as always. I love your antique Swedish sampler - such a treasure and I will purchase once you have it ready. My husband has Swedish background - I have old family pictures of his and this would be great piece to show along with the photos. Love your quilt ideas, I am always so happy when I find a treasure at my favorite antiques stores - amazing the joy that brings us, thank you for sharing your finds. And I am so envious of you attending stiching retreats - not sure when that will happen for me. I have several of S. Nash - have that Christmas one with chickens - so adorable and I also have Merrily Merrily, not kitted, just here with the rest of my collection. I saw a cross stitch design by Lucy Beam; stitching like I'm immortal - will have to buy that pattern. That's how I think, somehow, I am going to stitch every pattern I have purchased in last 20 years - right...such silliness. Enjoy your day! Blessings my friend. Hoping to not stay current now with your flosstube.
Wow, you have been busy!Thank you for sharing your newest antique sampler acquisition, so very lovely ! So interesting seeing the back as well and it signed! Always love your quilts and quilt finds :) . I know Agnus is a challenge, but she is so funny and has found her best life ever!!
My cabinet under my kitchen sink has a chair in front of it for the reason cause the cats and i have a 7 month old orange cat that is so nosey and onrey lol he will look at you and knock stuff off . Love the chickennpillows
Agnes sure is a little stinker! I just happened to decide to get my half completed Rachelle quilt kit out too just a few days ago. Pretty much just have the rows to sew together. My kit came from Country Sampler. Love all the blues. Love your antique quilts!
Sounds like we will have matching quilts! I have a lot of other things I’ll need to finish before that one, but I’m really looking forward to it. It is such a classic.
Your Agnes is precious. My granddaughter has a cat Lucy that opens the mini fridge in her dorm and had to put a special lock on it to keep her out. Cats are amazing.
I love your Swedish sampler - it was so exciting to see the back and those beautiful original colors. The thread was so shiny - was it silk do you think? I really enjoyed seeing all your projects and fabrics from the camera overhead - it was so much easier to see the details. Agnes is very cute - and very clever - and very, very naughty! Thank you for sharing!
You got some great finds on your trip, Christine! And that Swedish sampler is over the top! Don't laugh, but I almost think the figure with the crown looks like a bear! And don't laugh again, but is there something in Swedish lore that involves a bear with a crown? I don't know why, but it just seems to be in the recesses of my mind! Maybe someone else out there knows about this? Happy Spring to you! Hugs, Candace
Thanks. I clean up before I leave it every day. I like to be able to find what I’m looking for and not have to clean up so I can start a project. If I had to do that I’d lose my inspiration in a hurry.
I wonder if your sampler features a spinning monkey? You can find info on that motif online. And maybe the sampler cat is batting around a pincushion ala Agnes 😸
Oh, Agnes is a naughty girl. So inquisitive but not the right place to inquire into! I noticed that you keep the cupboard closed with a rubber band that doesn’t even faze her. She’s still a beautiful cat even if she wrongly thinks everything is hers.
I have a question - when you ladies work on the higher count fabric, do you work over each fabric or work over several-/ I have worked on 22 count, but it was almost impossible. Please tell me how you ladies work on the higher count fabric.. thankyou
It depends really. I generally will go over two threads. But sometimes, like certain text in the pattern will require one. You might try ball point needles. It sounds crazy, but they really do help.

I almost squealed when I found those quilt blocks. Love them.
@@mountaincraftsstudio so many in one place! I must keep looking for places to search.

The world being in disarray is as relevant today as any other time! Thanks.
@@mountaincraftsstudio for sure! We all need to stitch that on our samplers :)

Wow! Those quilts! Beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by to see them, Diane.
How awesome that you still have your childhood WIP! Really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing.
I come from a line of hoarders. LOL

Always enjoy your videos, glad to spend time with you!
Thanks, Michele.
Nice to see your oldest WIP completed. What a lovely gift. And your cabinets are definitely not Agnes proof!. Loved your newest antique sampler.
I’m definitely making modifications to the cabinet. She won’t leave it alone. *sigh*
All your antique quilts are so beautiful !
Thank you so much!
Absolutely love watching your videos Thankyou for sharing 👍🇳🇿🪡❤️
Thanks for visiting.
Your quilts are beautiful. I love the tied quilt
Me too!

The Swedish Sampler is amazing as are the quilts.
Marilyn
Thanks. I was thrilled to find it.
Your new Swedish sampler looks gorgeous! So cool that you know some of her history.
Always such goodness during your videos!
Thanks!
Your Agnes is precious. My granddaughter has a cat Lucy that opens the mini fridge in her dorm and had to put a special lock on it to keep her out. Cats are amazing.
That’s hilarious.

Yes, I do believe it is silk. It is remarkably shiny. I’m glad to know the overhead camera works out. It saves trying to fumble with delicate fabrics.

You know, that kind of makes sense. I’ll have to look into it.
Wow. Your work is incredible. Enjoyed seeing all your wips and haul. Your studio looks amazing. How do you keep sooo organized?
Thanks. I clean up before I leave it every day. I like to be able to find what I’m looking for and not have to clean up so I can start a project. If I had to do that I’d lose my inspiration in a hurry.
Sounds like a great plan. I will have to give it a try. Maybe it will get me more motivated and organized also. Thank you for the advice
Enjoyed your video. I live in Avon, IN and am interested in the Shipshewana retreats…any information would be great! 😊
This one was hosted by Always in Stitches in Noblesville. I hope they do one again next year.
I wonder if your sampler features a spinning monkey? You can find info on that motif online. And maybe the sampler cat is batting around a pincushion ala Agnes 😸
I do believe it is a spinning monkey. And the cat with a ball of yarn is absolutely Agnes!
Oh, Agnes is a naughty girl. So inquisitive but not the right place to inquire into! I noticed that you keep the cupboard closed with a rubber band that doesn’t even faze her. She’s still a beautiful cat even if she wrongly thinks everything is hers.
Nothing is safe. Absolutely nothing.
I live in central Indiana, just curious, what is your favorite antique shop you referred to where you found the quilt blocks. Great video 🤩
It is on 52 heading north of Lebanon. Countryside Antique Mall. I like it because it’s always open.
I have a question - when you ladies work on the higher count fabric, do you work over each fabric or work over several-/ I have worked on 22 count, but it was almost impossible. Please tell me how you ladies work on the higher count fabric.. thankyou

Agnes you are so cute! What retreat did you attend in southern Indiana. I have tried so hard to attend a retreat Stacy is at and it never works out. 😢
It was the Fancy Works retreat.
