@@disontago5729 Watch such documentaries such as T-24, he was a man-eater and when he got captured to get put into captivity it was spread all over and shown that his cubs could be in immediate danger because they were only left with the mother while the father was taken, a new male came into the territory to thankfully not kill but kick the cubs out of the territory and mate with the tigress and have new cubs, the cubs were not fully matured so they could still be in trouble by other male tigers. Thats why a father is important

Unfortunately they don't leave humans alone when their population grows in size. They are lonely creatures and take very huge territory for each tiger. In Russia they are protected, but as they grow in population they tend to come from forest to people. It was already a problem a couple of years ago. I don't know what's the situation now though

@@jacoblyon3652 yes they are afraid of people and people are afraid of them. While they so far killed only livestock, it's still an extremely dangerous sign. Ask yourself. Would you let your child go out if there were a case of a cow killed by a tiger nearby? I don't think so. So it's understandable why people prefer to prevent such things rather than face consequences. I of course agree these tigers are awesome majestic creatures but it's the reality we dealing with.
But they do check on their wife and kids when they pay a visit to their territories. ❤ And leave marking their fresh scent on the trees to warn the other males ''stay out or fight me". It's more of a long distance parenting. They do participate in parenting commonly but on rare occasions. Mom is the active parent 90% of the time she's the single mom.

If you go through the books and documents of Dr. Vikram Thapar he does say that male tigers do participate in cub rearing but NOT AS INVOLVED as mothers. There have been very rare instances of adult male even adopting a cub. But that's extremely rare. Almost non existent. Males from other territories kill the cubs which are not theirs so to confuse them the female mates with multiple males and stores the sperms of her ''ideal'' male in her sperm pouch. She lets her eggs get fertilized by the eggs only of the male she loves the most but she gets protection of all males to the cubs. Because tigers don't have paternity test. So yes. Are you asking the father does as much as the mother ?? Absolutely not. But is he fully involved in protecting, marking, fending off and fighting other males to protect his mate and cubs... Yes... Once in a few seasons does he visit his cubs?? Yes. Animals have their own personality believe me.. so one dad may be more involved than the other. Leopards have absent Father. He gets the female pregnant and then he disappears. Not tiger. You can cross-check on some literature but this is as per my experience in the field and literature review.
