I'm just one of countless straight dudes / allies who finds himself in this corner of the internet, but even I felt the convo from ~1:30:00 onwards on discovering how many people value you for the representation in an otherwise lacking space was really powerful. I can imagine it's a lot to process, but at the same time, it's spawned one of the loveliest and most inclusive communities I've participated in in my many years of being a nerd online, and it really drove home the message of just how important that representation is and how we all need to continue pushing for more every day. So thank you both for being as awesome as you are!

I just want to say that, as a trans person, I really agree about the things Jen said about how important it is to see allies being openly supportive and I really, really, really appreciate the shirt.
As a bi male, who has always played and presented with feminine characters, and has severe adult ADHD… the natural incongruous chatting and your unapologetic self expression mixed with infectious excitement is a balm for my personal self-criticisms.
You are great representatives for freedom of expressing your true souls. :) I am so glad BG3 introduced me to so many open and interesting people.

@@Eurician - My friends would complain, but in a playful way. While I am cisgender, I honestly can’t make myself play as a male character. I don’t feel gender dysphoria in real life, but I can’t even make myself enjoy being a male in either table top or video role playing games. I had one woman comment that how naturally I took on the role made her think that I was either a woman in a past life or that “my soul is strongly feminine” and that why I can tap into this so easily. Some say that males play feminine characters because they want to see someone “hot” while playing, but while I do spend too much gameplay in fashion in Act 3, I also think male clothing is boring in real life. But it doesn’t explain tabletop games, which is how it started. Thanks for your comment,
@@davidkozin I can see where you´re coming from. In Tebletop I played Male (but didnt play for over 15 Years), but in Computergames Female, because... it feels better? Cannot really describe it. Here is the Thing: Whenever someone asks me "why?" I answer with "because is so". I´m too old to justify myself, and you shouldn´t as well. Do as you do, love like you do and get the Peoplearound you that accept you as you are.

Regarding this moment (1:33:28) in stream, I can’t speak for everyone but what I can speak about is my reasoning why I’ve gravitated towards your streams in particular is not only the openness of a queer relationship but also the openness of the mental health.
That is an area I feel is very lacking in entertainment especially for people who are considered professionals. Like you don’t see Oscar winning actors or even leading role performers talk about their struggles and I think it makes them feel more distant and hard to relate to most of the time.
I think also a lot of them are afraid of talking about such areas because of the sensitivity of the topics and then potentially getting “cancelled” for saying the wrong thing.
I also feel very strongly about the importance of ADHD awareness. There’s such little known and so many wrong assumptions about the disorder and a lot of it I feel like is the fact that ADHD despite being so common is rarely talked about in detail beyond the impulsivity and hyperactivity bits.
Like I’ll be honest I came to your streams/videos for Shadowheart but I’ve stayed because you two are genuinely just admirable people who have been open and honest on a lot of topics most people especially professionals in entertainment aren’t.
I just feel like you both add a lot in the space where it's truly lacking not only in the LGBTQ+ community but also the mental health awareness, the ADHD awareness on streams and also even on Jen's TikTok. I've learned that talking about our ADHD is very helpful to us because it makes us feel less crazy and alone. Like truly, you are both amazing people and whether you keep streaming or end up stopping at some point, you've already added so much already that it would still be important and impactful.

Just yesterday I taught a class on spiritual/religious abuse, and so your words and the message of the Naz and Matt Foundation are quite timely for me. I know it may not be worth much, but to all those who have been harmed by the Christian faith, I hear you, I see you, and I am so heart-wrenchingly sorry. You are valuable, you deserve love, and you deserve better.

I took a break to check on the Naz and Matt Foundation, and I feel like as a queer person living in Hungary, where even though my family accepts me, our society, and government perceive queer people in such a horrid light on the basis of "We're a catholic country and you all live in sin", this whole thing resonates with me on a deeply personal level. Thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty to help every queer person you can, which you are actively doing even by just being your lovely sapphic selves online in front of a large audience, spreading love and acceptance, and just overall good vibes. Thank you. (extra big thank you to Aliona being adamant in her bisexuality, as a bi man, just spreading the fact that bi people are bi no matter if they live in a heterosexual, or a homosexual relationship warms my heart) Much love to everyone who read this far

Like... I started watching this channel because Jen's phenomenal voice acting in BG3... but now it's a month in and these two precious, adorable, kind, wonderful people have become a highlight of my day any time I see an upload :)

As someone who is both queer and neuro-spicy, watching you guys stream, and talk in these videos, is such a comforting light in the current general gunk that life can be. I got my adult ADHD diagnosis a year ago, and am still very early on in the learning curve when it comes to dealing with that, despite years of therapy for other mental health conditions - and hearing you guys talk so openly about your experience is really comforting.
Also, you guys have the CUTEST and most aspirational moments on stream that I resonate with so hard, and just the ability to express your needs and wants and share them with each other is extreeemely inspiring to me, an introvert who struggles with self-minimization and trying not to take up space or "need things". In the most recent (as of 11-11-23) BG3 stream, Aliona vocalized a need for a specific action of comfort/intimacy (arm around the shoulder, not the waist!), and just the little things like that really warm my heart and drive me to try harder to express my own needs.

Speaking of porridge "so hard you can use it as a weapon" I noticed yesterday in Baldur's Gate 3 that you can equip a salami as a weapon. I don't know if that is new or not from the most recent patch, but it tickled my funnybone.

This Q&A is probs my fave. Just wanted to say, BG3 wasn’t even on my gaming radar but the videos and streams of the cast playing the game (plus my friends recommending me to check them out because of my love for tactical games) got me to tune in to your streams. I stayed cause even now in my 30s, seeing people who essentially represent my community be so sincere, candid, and open about who they are and talk about neurodivergence and mental health really resonates with me (not to mention, your streams always make me smile and laugh).
Kudos for the success of BG3, and thank you for the streams, Q&As, and for building this community. I still haven’t picked up BG3 (i’m hoping for a physical release maybe, but I might just cave for the digital), and thank you for doing these streams and vods ❤

There's a Korean adaptation of The Fingersmith called "The Handmaiden". Same director of Oldboy. It's a beautiful film, I think both of you would enjoy watching it toegther!

Absolutely. There was never a becoming more gay or suddenly becoming gay it’s more of just realizing that you are. For me I can definitely point to moments that was absolutely not straight. And for me a lot of it was denial because of my religious upbringing. And also just lack of terminology. For me I wasn’t aware bisexuality was even a thing and so my logic was “i like guys so I can’t be gay”.
But the amount of female crushes I had as a kid, it does make it much more obvious now.

I don't think I've ever heard of an ADHD person going unmedicated by choice before! That just sounds crazy to me. When I'm off my meds, I just feel awful. Can't even focus on the things I _like_ doing, and I end up eating nonstop all day! I even take it on the weekends, because I just hate feeling like a tumbleweed blowing in the wind.
I knew exactly what you were trying to say from 1:33:00 onwards, the big rock in a puddle thing. Queer people in gaming shouldn’t be so rare that people see you and think “oh my goodness! People like me!” Like, it should be everywhere. But still, you are both absolute rays of sunshine and you would always stand out regardless 🥰
