I’m so happy to see you made it! Your thoughts/concern’s definitely matter, especially the music, food, and design. I hope they make the park more interactive, because it was giving a itty wittie lackluster for Ghibli 😭. Like it Japan can have their own Disney with cool items, rides, and interactive workers, and animatronics Ghibli can do it too!!
PSA for all Americans: If you want to go somewhere in the US that is entirely unrelated to Studio Ghibli but literally makes you feel like you're in a Studio Ghibli movie you should check out House on the Rock in Wisconsin! Incredible and made me feel like i was in spirited away or howls moving castle!
I've been to the GHIBLI museum, and I enjoyed it but I was also underwhelmed. Just like you said, I wanted to see more characters. That section of the park seems similar to the museum just on a larger scale. I hope the other parks are more interesting. At least the gift shop is better than the museum one!
The fact I know I’ll probably start crying if I get the opportunity to visit. I would love to experience the Arrietty section

Thanks for sharing!! I have a Tokyo/Kyoto trip planned in March and was debating whether to try and squeeze in a visit to Ghibli Park. Based on your video, not sure my husband would be down to wait in that many lines for just photo opps HAH. I also wonder if it's worth waiting another year or two to go for when the rest of the areas of the park are open to see it all at once...I went to the ghibli museum in tokyo years ago which was fun but a similar vibe here where it's a bit underwhelming when you compare it to disneyland but it's also unique to Ghibli so I really can't criticize if the intent is simply to enjoy all things Ghibli.
Been waiting for this ever since I heard they were building it. Sundai & Ghibli park 🥰 I've seen a few videos on it, but the only one that matters is Sundai's. Cause she's just as big a fan as me 🥰 Thanks Sundai!!!!!!
They’ll probably add more themed stuff in later. Because its a new park they probably want to see peoples reactions and how much money they can make. Because hiring chefs and educating them on how to make themed food is expensive.

Seeing the food selection is very unfortunate. I’ve always thought cartoon food looked 🔥 😅. So that was a missed opportunity to do food from each movie. Or even design the food court to look like the places they ate at.

I agree lots of wasted potential. Ghibili is a big name but fans want to be IMMERSED in that world. They need to take some tips from Disney and Unversal Studios in Japan... theme everything!

I totally agree with you about the music of Ghiblis movies. Arietty's Song (piano), the main themes to Howls Moving Castle, Castle in they Sky, Kikis Town with an Ocean View, Mononoke Hime, Legend of Ashitaka, Nausicca, and the list goes on. Mononoke Hime with the lyrics is my favourite and I cry every time I listen to it 😭
