That's a pretty good mod for that model; it also seems to perform better than the aftermarket can as the aftermarket cans have more volume inside of the lid; I also stick a screwdriver in the baffle and pry it up a bit further opening THAT outlet as well. Anxious to see the little ripper ported!
I have seen a couple of different versions of the 024 muffler, one like this and one that had a bird cage with 4 small holes on the side of the rectangular exit piece on the cover. Guessing the latter is what they call quiet tone. Good job!👍
I'm looking forward to after work and throwing the new bar and chain on, it's only semi chisel but should still do better than the bar and chain it came with

I think sometimes it's necessary , especially on choked up mufflers like these, I think the plastic poulans have freer flowing mufflers..lol
