No it's actually the other way around. The zanpaktou rebelion arc was originally filler and Kubo didn't do anything on it but he really liked the designs. It's still technically filler. While the events in that arc did not happen the characters zanpaktou spirits in their inner worlds still look like how they look in that arc. And he probably liked Rukia's spirit so much he gave that design to Rukia's bankai. Which makes sense since "becoming one" with your sword is the final level of understanding your power in bleach.

Remember that she had to create techniques with Kaien - because she couldn't utilise the power of her sword, it was already trying to freeze her back then, but without Reishi control allowing her to survive the hypothermic semi-death state - she just couldn't do anything with it. Also it is fun to notice that her bankai is the type to be just stronger version of her shikai. The freeze is almost instantaneous and it has bigger range as well. It's not just her body - it's whole area around her. And you know this is just beginning of her power, a fresh bankai that needs to be honed. She only can use her Shikai for 4 seconds and Bankai is just a nuke, if she trains it to last longer - she will be crazy strong. 14:10 People were full of shiet - if you actually put both scenes side by side, anime had exactly the same level of details for Byakuya's injuries, there was no censorship. It's just that the anime is way darker and colourful, which especially for smaller screens doesn't show as well. But if you watch this on max resolution on a big screen - you can easily see it was 1-1 adaptation of the gore. 16:10 Official English Subs are quite awful tbh. Normally the song subs would be just on top of the screen as they should be.

Her 3 dances are just her reducing the temperature of something to freeze it. 1st dance freezes the ground and uses that as the medium to freeze the enemy. Or rather, anything in contact with the ground, including the air. 2nd dance does the same thing, but there she propells the cold energy forward in a cone shaped blast. 3rd dance freezes the air touching the sword itself to create a blade of ice. Because of this, she misunderstood and thought it was simply a Zanpakuto of ice and snow. It's like Byakuya with Senbonzakura. She was using the ability but didn't understand the essence of that ability and was therefore unable to bring out its full power. Freezing her own body could simply be considered a 4th dance where she uses her body as the medium instead of the ground.

Tartar Foras means Fear of God, btw. All named Quincy Volsterndigs have something to do with God, further enforcing their angel motif. Also, the fact As Nodt was called a survivor by Yhwach implies he was one of the mixed Quincy that was going to die 9 years ago, alongside Ichigo and Uryu's mothers. He, like Uryu, survived that event. However, unlike Uryu, he was crippled and left in a near death state and probably would have died if not for Yhwach's recognition. A lot of people feel Byakuya should have stayed dead, but that moment with him and Rukia made his survival worth it imo. Though, personally, I would have had him actually die and then get revived by Orihime.
Byakuya absolutely should have stayed dead. That entire scene with his intervention could have been done by having Rukia apply her bankai to break out, and have Byakuya appearing as a departed spirit that Rukia can see due to her being technically 'dead' while under the influence of her bankai. Byakuya plays no part in the plot of the remaining manga except to draw out fights that didn't need his presence at all - he was nothing but filler for the rest of the manga except for this one scene.
As Nodt VA is really talented, he also voice Betelgeuse from ReZero (just check him out) and he also voice Kirito from Sword Art Online and Inosuke from Demon Slayer.

I don't get how you can't distinguish the difference of the power with Rukia and Hitsugaya. His zanpakuto IS the strongest ice and weather type zanpakuto. Rukia's zanpakuto, as she EXPLAINED herself, is about temperature. She still uses ice, but her abilities aren't focused on ice itself. Also Hitsugaya can be brutal, but he holds back a lot because of how terrifying he can actually be as well as to his comrades. If you don't get that during the next coming eps especially for that z moment of his... well.
Rukia looked so beautiful probably due to her zanpakuto’s title of “Most beautiful zanpakuto.” I can’t wait till we see Toushiro’s true, like matured bankai. They said numerous times in the anime and showed it was young and how he couldn’t hold/use it so long. So when I saw this I wondered who was better since Toushiro said he has the strongest ice and snow zanpakuto. They said it was said Toushiro was stronger. It makes sense. If Rukia makes ice he can just control it. It’s his ability after all. Plus I mean, Rukia can’t move for fear of cracking in her bankai and freezing to death in her shikai after 4 seconds. Talk about draw backs… I think her zanpakuto is more likely to kill her.
[Tidbits & Clarifications] - They may add it later but as it stands they seem to have cut out most of Senjumaru's (Gold Arms lady) content, she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool. (Again they may cover it later so I won't spoil what invention she made for the Soul Society) - The Scale is a hint at what Jugram Haschwalths' ability is. Giving what he said, Cang Du survived his 1st attack, which was fortunate, but then we saw the scale tilt. (Make of that what you will) - In the Manga, there exist a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by his Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me" As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to. (Sidenote - Many fans theorize that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life) - Some fans draw issue or feel that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings. - As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Mesiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything. - Kirinji from the 0 Squad is known for his speed and he believed that it would take a week, Ichigo saying it'll take only half a day is a nice little humble brag. (Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so he life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things, and likely felt that life itself was not beautiful. Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.) [Repost]
Basically what jugram told uryu was something like “if he doesn’t continue to absorb souls then he will eventually revert back to his infant self” If u remember the first episode of season 2 had baby yhwach absorbing quinces to mature. I tend to think of Kubo's writing as poems in visual form. Because there are so many concepts and perspectives in his character's worldviews and they are all presented in special ways.
Rukia’s zanpakuto ability is cold itself, aka reducing the temperature, not ice. Hitsugaya’s zanpakuto produces ice in a variety of ways. So despite looking similar, they are completely different abilities.

The fact that it took TWO studios to do this episode and rukias bankai and the one that helped was UFOTABLE, demon slayer and fate animation studio regarding as the animes with the best animations, it's crazy
There is actually a significant difference between Toshiro's powers and Rukia's. Toshiro can create and manipulate ice, and Rukia can control temperature to freeze things, which naturally creates snow and ice as the water around her freezes. Also, for anyone who isn't aware, "absolute zero" is a real thing. It's the lowest temperature theoretically possible to achieve. At absolute zero, all movement down to a molecular level ceases.
I really like that episode 6 of TYBW part 1 has Yamamoto's "Hottest and Badass" Bankai then in episode 6 of TYBW part 2 has Rukia's "Coldest and Gorgeous" Bankai. Also, Press F for As Nodt. His voice actor did a really good job to scare you.

I don't get how you can't distinguish the difference of the power with Rukia and Hitsugaya. His zanpakuto IS the strongest ice and weather type zanpakuto. Rukia's zanpakuto, as she EXPLAINED herself, is about temperature. She still uses ice, but her abilities aren't focused on ice itself.
Also Hitsugaya can be brutal, but he holds back a lot because of how terrifying he can actually be as well as to his comrades. If you don't get that during the next coming eps especially for that z moment of his... well.

Easily one of the best episodes of Bleach. I've been waiting a decade for this shit, it did not disappoint.
Rukia looked so beautiful probably due to her zanpakuto’s title of “Most beautiful zanpakuto.” I can’t wait till we see Toushiro’s true, like matured bankai. They said numerous times in the anime and showed it was young and how he couldn’t hold/use it so long. So when I saw this I wondered who was better since Toushiro said he has the strongest ice and snow zanpakuto. They said it was said Toushiro was stronger. It makes sense. If Rukia makes ice he can just control it. It’s his ability after all. Plus I mean, Rukia can’t move for fear of cracking in her bankai and freezing to death in her shikai after 4 seconds. Talk about draw backs… I think her zanpakuto is more likely to kill her.

- They may add it later but as it stands they seem to have cut out most of Senjumaru's (Gold Arms lady) content, she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool.

- In the Manga, there exist a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by his Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me"
As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to.
(Sidenote - Many fans theorize that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life)
- Some fans draw issue or feel that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings.
- As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Mesiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything.
- Kirinji from the 0 Squad is known for his speed and he believed that it would take a week, Ichigo saying it'll take only half a day is a nice little humble brag.
(Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so he life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things, and likely felt that life itself was not beautiful.
Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.)

Rukia’s zanpakuto ability is cold itself, aka reducing the temperature, not ice. Hitsugaya’s zanpakuto produces ice in a variety of ways. So despite looking similar, they are completely different abilities.

There is actually a significant difference between Toshiro's powers and Rukia's. Toshiro can create and manipulate ice, and Rukia can control temperature to freeze things, which naturally creates snow and ice as the water around her freezes.
Also, for anyone who isn't aware, "absolute zero" is a real thing. It's the lowest temperature theoretically possible to achieve. At absolute zero, all movement down to a molecular level ceases.
